Adorable pousada, delicious breakfast
Reviewed By Perfect_LadyAfter visiting PdG back in 2012, I wanted to spend a little more time there, so decided to go back for a few days on my latest trip. I found this pousada online and it had very good reviews and availability. I arrived late at night, but had arranged a transfer through the pousada, from the airport and my driver had kindly made contact the day before and advised me where he'd be and to message with any queries. As a lone female traveller this made me feel very comfortable. Upon arrival the pousada was quiet and charming. My room was lovely, spacious, clean and everything worked. I loved that the aircon was so quiet and it had a full length mirror in the main room. After a good night's sleep I went down to the lovely dining area by the pool for breakfast. The breakfast buffet was one of the best I've ever had in Brazil, many types of cakes - including tapioca cakes (a personal favourite), different fruits, yoghurt, juices, various cheeses AND eggs and tapioca pancakes cooked to order., plus much more! ALL the staff were friendly and charming. No-one spoke English, but I wanted to practice my portuguese. It was set back a little from the main town, but it was a short walk and also a lovely quiet location. A giant supermarket is 5 mins walk away. I loved staying here and was so sad to leave. But I'd highly recommend this pousada to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in PdG. Esp - if like me - you value a tasty and plentiful breakfast.

Restaurant needs improvement!
Reviewed By ppin0The place is nice, the view is lovely and the pool is great. However the restaurant needs a lot of improvement. The menus look and smell dirty, the staff take very long to bring your order (even water that doesn't need preparing), the cocktails are very poor and the staff don't have a clue about anything! They need urgent training! We were supposed to stay six nights but stayed only one because it was frustrating to ask for things and not get them done properly (like asking for a burger with bacon and BBQ sauce and getting something else without bacon and BBQ sauce). Plus it's far from Pipa beach, you need transport to get there, although they provide the transport more or less hourly. Not to mention that a light bulb in our room wasn't working! They've changed it but the lack of attention to small things in a fairly expensive place wasn't very impressive!

Recanto da Mata is a paradise in the middle of the forest, located approximately 1 km from the center of Pipa, giving tranquility and convenience for its guests, with the advantage of being close to shops, bars and restaurants and at the same time far from the intense night of Pipa. With breakfast included and a large swimming pool with bar, it offers WI FI and free parking. The hotel has 24 Luxury and Classic category apartments with pool and garden views. They all have a flat structure, with satellite TV, wi-fi internet, air conditioning, refrigerator and electronic safe .. Luxury apartments have a spa bath for 2 people.
Poor location and bed
Reviewed By F4064HVbenht’s hard for me to write this review because the staff here was really lovely to me. The grounds are pretty, and the pool is nice. The superior room has a nice tub, but I’m not sure of it justifies the extra price. The refrigerator had a lot of stains on the outside, and there was no microwave. I like nature, but there was a rooster making loud sounds at 3 am, and it was disruptive. BUT my major complaints are 1) the location is 20 min walk outside the city which is really inconvenient in a hot beach town with no ubers. Having to pay 4-5 dollars each time to go back and forth from the center and having to hunt down taxis was not worth it to me AND 2) the bed was so firm/hard it was like sleeping on the ground. I guess Brazilians have no discernment for comfortable mattresses but if you’re a foreigner and you know what one feels like you will notice immediately. Lastly, the kitchen would randomly close at hours when they were supposed to be open, which is unfair to guests considering the random location of the hotel. I was lucky to find pizza delivery but I got nervous when the kitchen refused to take my order 15 minutes before the supposed closing time.

Our beautiful building, in the 30s, today is cultural heritage of the city of Rio de Janeiro. Fully renovated through a retrofit, it has 14 modern flats, 8 of 32 m2, 2 of 45 m2, one of 56m2 and the other three of 60 m2, with cable TV, WIFI, Air Conditioning Split, queen or King size bed, washing machine and fully equipped kitchen.

Reviewed By nickamc80We stayed at the Sugar Loft Apartments in Santa Teresa for 5 nights. Amelia was absolutely wonderful. Our apartment had gorgeous views looking towards Sugar Loaf, the cable cars along with the neighborhoods. Bed was extremely comfortable, Air Conditioning was cold, plenty of room for 2 adults in our place. Outside on Friday night the restaurant/bar has outdoor seating while listening to local music and of course people watching. Other restaurants nearby- this is a great neighborhood. We felt very safe all times. The Santa Teresa yellow trolley is just a short walk down the street. The park ruins are up the hill and definitely worth a visit for more stunning views of Rio. Uber is plenty and cheap. Thank you Amelia- we will be back!

Reviewed By nycdeaThe rooms are simple but clean and comfortable. Food is good. MY FAVORITE HOTEL IN CALDAS NOVAS. I have been going there since I was a little kid. It might not last forever, so you should go! Parque das Primaveras has a lot of animals walking around/some flying around. There are just thirty and some units so the Hotel is never too crowded.
