This property is 1 minute walk from the beach. Situated 80 m from the sandy beach of Agia Anna, Maroussa offers well-equipped studios built within a lovely flower garden. Both Wi-Fi and wired Internet access are available free of charge. Maroussa Studios are simply yet tastefully decorated according to the typical Cycladic style. They are very spacious and offer kitchenette facilities. They also feature air conditioning, TV and hairdryer. All studios enjoy private balconies overlooking the garden area or sea. Reviewed By MsAdeolaThe areas for improvement - I arrived very late on a delayed ferry and phoned ahead, the owner said she would wait and prepare a room, I thought that was good of her, until I saw the room and the facilities. - the shower is not ideal and not what I wanted after a very long ferry ride. I was so tired and just wanted a lovely hot shower before getting into bed. But the shower looked like a tap a few centimetres from the toilet - so off putting. I wouldn't be able to shower without getting water all over the toilet. So I decided not to have a shower and to go straight to bed. When I told the owner about the shower she told me I could go and stay somewhere else - it was past midnight and I was a lone female traveller in a new place. She was most unwelcoming. When she left she said something to someone else in Greek, I think it was a disparaging comment and it just made me feel very uncomfortable. - That bed was the WORST part, the WORST bed I have EVER slept on. It felt like sleeping on the floor it was ROCK HARD. I slept really badly and when I woke I looked and felt worse than when I went to bed. I had back ache even though I am young and physically very fit. - that night (about midnight) the owner had said she would swap my room in the morning. - the shower was actually okay pressure wise, good temperature and power but I had to hold the shower head and the water went everywhere, all over the toilet and as far as the toilet roll, even though I am a slim woman. - Although she showed me another room in the morning, the two single beds were only slightly softer, and the room itself was still VERY underwhelming and the whole experience had left a really bad taste in my mouth. I felt very down about it. - I ended up falling asleep on the beach. Thankfully when I woke up I found a guardian angel who offered me something SO MUCH BETTER, for a similar price (only a couple euros difference). The worst part about my experience is that the owner acknowledged how hard the bed was and when I returned around 8pm she left a note saying that I should sleep in the same room as she could not wait up. As if she was doing me a favour! Thankfully, that was the confirmation and push I needed not to stay a minute longer. It clearly showed that she did not care about customer experience, me enjoying the room or anything just about keeping her rooms occupied and paid for. Never once did she apologise even though she knows how hard that bed is, her attitude seemed to be that I should be lucky to have a place to sleep, which is wholly inappropriate towards a paying customer. Regretfully, I paid her the full asking price. But fortunately it was just 30 euros. That said, my experience really warranted 0 payment, but I wanted no stress/argument - just to get out of there. I did not want her bad vibes and her poor accomodation to ruin my holiday anymore. How can anyone charge people to sleep on a bed like that??? Give it to charity, please. There is a review from 2019 which has some really good advice to the owner about upgrading her facilities. Perhaps if she had taken this advice my experience would have been better. I can see that she cares about the place and the work that she puts in, but things like a good quality bed and shower are BASIC. If she needs to charge more to get these in place then she should consider doing so The positives - the place is spotless, very well cleaned. - there is a fridge and a hob, so good for those who want to make their own food - the outdoor garden is absolutely beautiful, lots of plants and different colours.

Excellent apartment in great location
Reviewed By leather2000Highly recommend these excellent apartments. We stayed in room 13 in the new block, but would expect that all the rooms are equally clean and well equipped. Very close to the excellent beach, tavernas, bus stop and supermarket. Friendly owners - gave us some eggs and a carafe of wine during our stay. No transfer to/from the ferry offered but easy to take the bus, or a taxi for 16 euros.

A stay that does not empty your wallet with a forthcoming landlady and her family
Reviewed By torbj_rnm254Flora does not speak other that Greek, but her friendly face and expressiv body communicate all you need for a pleasant stay. The rooms are neat with good beds and balconies. The short walk to the beach is just refreshing in the silent mornings. The price is fair and Flora’s family helps you when English language is needed. This is why people return to Flora year after year.

Great staff, poor location without a car.
Reviewed By GeerlingsWhen we booked this hotel we thought is was close to the city, but it is about 15 - 20 minutes by car. The place itself is beautiful, the owners are very friendly and helpful, but there are no restaurants nearby and you need to get here by taxi or by bus (which is a 10 minute walk from the closest bus stop). I would stay again, if I have my own transport but otherwise would look for something closer to the city.

Great location on the main road 10 minutes walk from the beach and restaurants. Ideal for family holidays as well as long stay. This is the 2nd year I stayed here and every time I will visit Naxos I will go back to Anthi Studios. Thank you for everything Mrs Anthi!!!!

Basics only
Reviewed By Alkisti PThe studios are clean and very close to the beach and restaurants.They have a small fridge, tv, kitchen and aircondition and some of them have sea view. The room we stayed was very small: we could not open our luggage, only one each time and the whole room was blocked.They need renovation to justify their cost. Its a great choice if you're young and need only the basics but it is not value for money.

Sensational Stay
Reviewed By Allan KGreat apartment right in the middle of Agia Anna. We had a room with a view of the Aegean. It was spotless, cleaned everyday, comfortable bed and our host Maria couldn't do enough for you. Beach and restaurants are 100 metres away, and a Supermarket about 70 metres away. Location is perfect. Would go again tomorrow.

Reviewed By JohnmakridisΔεν ξέρω αν έφταιγε το ενδεχόμενο που μέναμε σε ημιυπόγειο(πληρώσαμε 50€ τη βραδιά) αλλά το δωμάτιο ήταν επιεικώς απαράδεκτο. Είχαμε παντου μυρμήγκια και καθε είδους ζωηφια. Δεν υπήρχαν σίτες στα παράθυρα να αποτρέπεται αυτή η κατάσταση και γενικά υπήρχε μια δυσωδία το σπίτι. Μια μερα βούλωσε ξαφνικά το σιφόνι στο μπάνιο και ευτυχώς δεν πλημυρησαμε. Επίσης ζητήσαμε δίκλινο δωμάτιο με διπλό κρεβάτι και ειχαμε τελικα δυο μονα κρεββατια κολλημενα με σελοτειπ! Τέλος δεν υπήρχε μεταφορά μας απο και προς το λιμάνι της Νάξου. Στα θετικά η τοποθεσία. Κυριολεκτικά 200 βήματα απο την παραλία της Αγίας Άννας, καθώς και η κυρία Σοφία, που ήταν παντα πρόθυμη να μας εξυπηρετήσει.

Charming stay!
Reviewed By susi sWe stayed four nights in the top floor studio apartment. It is clean and tidy with a great view of the beach. Maria is a delightful host and helps wherever she can. Maria has decorated the studio beautifully and it was a pleasure to return each day to our lovely accomodation. Would definitely stay here on any trip to Naxos.
