Well, after a while, I am writing back with another review. These days work from home has increased the work load, but anyways after 2 years we are back again on road and back again to write some quality reviews. Here it goes Location: Location of the resort was awesome. Sitting at a hilltop, it gives a wonderful view of the valley and the Krishna river. Although the approach road is so steep that only experienced drivers can take the car up the hill. But that is all fine. The property: Well I must say that the concept was really good and after reading earlier reviews, I thought that it will be great to be in the property. There are 4 categories of room. At the top is the dormitory. next came the wooden cottages. The cottages has 2 private bedrooms aith attached toilet. 1 common hallway and a upper deck sleeping point. The private bedrooms are equipped with AC while the upper deck has only a cooler. The bedrooms also has a bunk bed which can accomodate 2 adults easily. Next are the rooms which are above the restaurant smallar than the cottages. It also has AC and has a metal bunk bed in it. The last one is the separate cottage which also has AC. The property is full with trees. There is a big turkey as well and some cats and a dog. While the rooms were good but there were some drawbacks. They provide Gamcha type towels for bathroom. The handwash was filled with handwash mixed with water. The sink was leaking a lot of time. The water quality was not so good. May be it was from the dam but the water was murky and muddy. I woudn't try using it though. The commode was bit shaky and scary as well. However the bathrooms were clean and didn't had any stain etc. The rooms had a very strange combination of linen. The bedsheets and plillow covers were red in colour. The curtains were so light that sunlight will wake at 7 AM and you can't risk changing clothese while the lights are on. There was supposed to be a pool which was filled with muddy water. There is a games room where you can play TT and darts etc. There is also a separate place where you can try your luck with shooting and archery. Parking is a bit problematic for cars. Restaurant The restaurant was ok, served very tasty food when we reached. The options are limited. Maggi is 180 while paratha was of 80. Food was good. However breakfast was not satisfactory. The plates served for the breakfast was like you are eating in a stall of Gulacha chaha :). We went for breakfast on second day at around 9 AM and found the breakfast completely cold. By the way they start serving the breakfast at 8.30 AM. Staff Now comes the important point. The ground staff was good. However there is one guy who annoyed me so much that it ruined my whole trip. I booked the resort for 2 nights for 4500 per night. The next day I got a call and the person calling me was too worried for our peace. He suggested that we should change the cottage because there will be some bunch of boys who will check in and they are going to make a lot of noise late night. Well as a family man I agreed to it. The guy even sent me picture of the different room. But we were taken aback when we reached there. They put our luggage in a different room altogether. I asked the ground manager to show me the cottage that I booked and to my surprise that room (Pine Cottage) was completely different from where they were trying to put us up. I told the manager that we will stay in the room they are giving instead we will stay in the room we booked. The manager didn't agree to it and he made me talk to the guy who manages the room. I was suspecting something fishy there because this guy on phone was so worried about our peace that he was adamant that we should not stay in the cottage. However I didn't agree to it. When I enquired with the ground manager, I found that this guys has booked the same cottage to someone else as well after we made the booking and now he got himself in a spot. This incident ruined my whole trip because there was no transparency from the property owners. I felt like I was in a situation where the facebook memes fits very well - What my friends think I am staying, what I booked to stay and where I am actually staying. Overall Feedback Not worth the money I paid. I paid 4500 per night. I feel that the resort was started very good but now it is not maintained at all. Ground staff are good and very helpful however there is lack of transparency from the owners/people managing the rooms. Location is good though.

We visited as a group of 12 including a 5 year old kid and stayed for 3 nights at this resort. The way to the resort is terrible with zero network. The resort is located at the outskirts of Mahabaleshwar, hence overall it was a peaceful stay. Roms were spacious and clean. Few incects such as ants n flies enter into the room but considering the greenery surrounded, it is acceptable. Cleanliness can be improved. The staff is helpful. The main worry for the resort is with the Food...1 out 5 marks for the food...for quality/variety/taste. Lakewood resorts has to improve as far as food is concerned, good cook can be kept to improve food ratings. Very less variety of breakfast in the morning....no egg was served for our family members. When any resort offers packages with the meal plan ..they have to maintain quality as well. Spa facility needs to be started. People come to relax at such places. Overall hospitality was good.

Backwater Cabins is a beautiful holiday destination comprised of elegant and exclusive container houses.Situated near Windmill Plateau, nestled in the pleasant neighbourhood of Koyna, it is a great place to rewind and rejuvenate.Backwater Cabins offers a mesmerising 180 degree view of tranquil Koyna Backwaters. The houses are well designed and interiors are cosy & comfortable for a relaxed stay.
We had lots of fun at this back Water Cabin , the drive up the hill was scary and then the jeep ride to the back water cabin was nothing short of a roller-coaster ride. The campsite was great, we had a fire, barbeque and a good camp with capacity for 30. The bathroom is good and everything was neat and clean. The staff is helpful every time when needed The sunrise at that altitude is absolutely amazing , you can stop literally everywhere to take snaps . A must go with your friends and a definitive fun experience.

Food and barbecue is excellent and the games such as tug of war and giant Jenga and all the swings provided by them are all enjoyable. special thanks to the entire management who takes care and runs this property. View from the camp is breathtaking and scenic. Will always suggest to spend the entire evening at this place as they have lots of recreational activities

Tapola Agro Tourism Producer Company Ltd.is Established near koyana back water and situated at Strowberry garden with farming . we are providing Lunch Dinner High Tea Breakfast and swimming kayaking fishing trekking activity and stay in Tent .
While the scenery of Tapola was nice...but the climate was worst.. temperature of 30°+ ..No hillstation feeling. It's almost an hour journey from Mahableshwar in a very dense, not good road and not market nearby. There are no television and AC in most of the hotels, which is adding to the agony. The hotels rates are expensive or similar to the Mahableshwar hotels which has TV/AC and proper market.
