My wife and have just completed a 6 week trip of Europe in a motor home. Whilst there we stayed at a lot of locations, including some free camps. Some caravan parks were very good, others just so so. Camping Village Il Poggetto was without a doubt the very best. It's in a beautiful location, near the village of Ponte Alla Luna, and is immaculate. Beautifully kept grounds and very clean amenities. Probably it's biggest asset however, are the staff. Very welcoming and friendly, they made our stay very comfortable, even escorting us to our site. I have read elsewhere that it is expensive. Not from our experience, we found many other locations moreso.

Camping Le Sorgenti is surrounded by countryside and is just a few steps from the village of Palazzuolo sul Senio in the heart of the Romagna/Tuscany landscape. It covers a terraced area with 80 shaded pitches, all supplied with electricity. There is a bar, minimarket, warm showers, table tennis and trekking excursions. Discover the experience of a holiday in close contact with Nature and its elements. Enjoy the fresh air, the sounds and scents of the chestnut groves and the gentle gurgling of the spring that flows through the campsite and into the picturesque waterfall. Purify your organism with the water from the sulphur spring that runs through the campsite.
We stayed for about 10 days, felt emerged in Italian life and would have liked to stay longer. Lovely natural surroundings, relaxed atmosphere, not very touristy. The owners were very friendly, and we liked using the common bbq space.

Looking for the ideal base for visiting Tuscany? Then the hu Norcenni Girasole village is what you’re after! The holiday camp is halfway between Florence and Arezzo and close to other Tuscan art cities. Situated in the municipality of Figline Valdarno, the hu Norcenni Girasole village stretches over the Chianti hills, and is the ideal accommodation if you want full comforts for a family holiday: two parks with swimming pools of all kinds, restaurants, fitness centre, horse-riding and much, much more!
Just back from a wonderful week’s stay. Ideal location for combining a family holiday with children and sightseeing around Tuscany. Our 3 year old loved the pool areas - especially the splash pools in the upper area on the hill. Free and regular mini train service around the site - every 20mins from early until late in the evening. We also loved the restaurants and gelateria! Already planning next year’s trip!

Peaceful well maintained site. Great showers and some fabulous views. Pool and restaurant looked great but we didn’t have time to try them out. Convenient location for visiting Florence. Nice and quiet out of season. I need to write 18 more characters

The Camping” Panorama del Chianti” is a haven of peace nestling in the green tuscan hills, up on a territory renowned all over the world for its art cities, its culture and its many natural wonders, close to Florence, Siena , San Gimignano, Certaldo and Volterra.
Great quiet camping with a fantastic view from the pool. Everything you need is there (electricity, communal refrigerator, laundry, possibility to order bread/croissant, and small bar). The camping forms a perfect base to go on day trips around Tuscany and is located near many small wineries.

The most beautiful balcony in the world near Florence Camping Village Panoramico Fiesole is just 7 km from the historic centre of Florence. Nestled in wooded parkland, since 1956, it has welcomed generations of tourists whose exceptional experiences have created a long-lasting emotional ties to the camp.
We spent here some days and loved the place. The staff is very friendly, the shop and restaurant work with sensible prices. The rented mobile house was well equipped and clean. AC was working, bathroom was good. We did not face problems even with the WIFI. You can find laundry and even petrol station in the camping.

A new campsite in Tavarnelle Val di Pesa set in the Chianti hills. It is the ideal place for a tranquil, relaxing Holiday. Our campsite is set among green olive trees from which we produce a fine quality extra virgin Tuscan olive oil. You can taste it at our food and wine tasting events. At the campsite store you can buy: wine and extra virgin olive oil.
Camping Romita has been our home for 5 nights instead of 3 initially planned, we could just not make our mind to leave this place! Perfect location to move around in Toscany, peaceful vibe in the camp, super clean facilities and a charming family managing the site. We highly recommend!!

the camping area is situated in a marvellous green zone . Thanks to its position the camping area give to you the opputrunity to reach the most important cities of Tuscany. we are far to florence about 25km. et a km. 10 to Vinci .our mobil homes are confortables houses with air conditioned they have 2 dedrooms, the kitchen , the bathroom with shower and a veranda
First, the camping itself: small, cozy, situated in beautiful nature and run by a friendly family. The food in the restaurant may be a little overprized for the amount you get, but the taste is good. And every day a different selection of homemade desserts to choose from. The swimming pool is very nice and cleaned daily. Depth main pool 1.10m - 1.40m; depth toddler pool: 60cm. Around the pool plenty of chairs, beds and umbrellas and trees for some shade. Next to the pool there is a tiny tiny playground (for the little ones under 4yr) and a reasonably sized soccer field (ball can be borrowed from reception). When we arrived the animation team had just left, but we heard that they were pretty amateuristic, nothing major and certainly no loud music way after children bedtime. We experienced this camping as really quiet (enjoyed it), but I'm not sure if that was due to the fact that main season was already coming to an end..... Secondly the rental accomodation. I'm less positive here. We stayed in a mobile home (casa mobili). They come with a nice veranda, which is a plus. And the bathroom unit is brand new. Another plus. And it's clean and everything works. Other than that the interior is old. One migth call it retro style, which is all fine with me, but don't expect any luxury or comfortness. My feedback to the camping owners: make the cushions fit on the bench around the table. Now they are way bigger than the bench itself, which makes them fall off all the time when you sit on it. A big nuisance. Apart from that the two single beds really need to be replaced. There is no sleepcomfort whatsoever on those beds. The double bed slept fine, though. For guests to be it is good to know that the casa mobili doesn't come with any houshold equipment like toiletpaper, soap, a rubbish bin, dishwashing liquid, a tea towel, dishwashing brush or cloth to wipe the kitchen/table clean with. This meant we had to go back down the hill straight after we arrived.

Stayed here with contiki. Was good, clean. Quite a hike to reception and the ATM though. There’s a shop onsite which seemed to have a good range of products. Bug spray is needed in summer months!!!! The food for contiki onsite was average.
