Very friendly and helpful staff The door lock broke to our camper and we thought it just locked on it's own. The staff looked for another camper with the same type of camper in hopes that their key would work. But my husband used a hammer to get us in. Also had an ice cream social and gave out free sundaes to whoever wanted one. Will defiantly stay again

Overall a good experience and would stay again. Only inconvenience was the campground store closing early Sunday when Monday was a holiday and most guests stayed until Monday. Bit of an inconvenience having to leave the campground for supplies.

My sisters and I have stayed there 4 times already this year since we have been in the area helping my mother. After a long day, it is an incredible rest for your body and soul. We fell in love with the cabins as soon as we saw them. You can't beat the value because the rate includes up to 4 people and there is plenty of room. They have a wonderful screened in porch, full kitchen, living room, bedroom. Cottages are clean and well maintained. Hiram, the owner, is extremely helpful and pleasant. Pets are allowed which is also a plus. We recommend Echo Valley Cottages to everyone we know traveling in the Stroudsburg / Bushkill area.

Had a pleasant stay in a cabin. The only problems we encountered are the terrible Wi-Fi (you basically have to park right in front of KC Pepper to get any service and even then it's slow and unreliable) and the mattresses. The bunk bed mattresses are very thin and the mattress on the other bed was very firm. I did finally get to sleep but I woke up pretty sore & stiff. I don't know if I'd return because I have chronic back pain and the terrible mattresses are a deal breaker. For someone without any disabilities it might be alright. If you have back pain avoid!

This incredible property is located in the heart of the breathtaking Allegheny National Forest in Pennsylvania. It boasts its own private setting to offer guests plenty of privacy. In addition, the property offers direct access to ATV and snowmobile trails. The area has many hidden treasures such as wineries, and wild life viewing. Hunting, fishing, horseback riding and geocaching are also populare activities close by. The property is set just six miles north of Marienville on scenic Route 66. This means that, despite the secluded setting, guests won't have to travel far to pick up supplies or enjoy a meal out. Right from their front door, guests can discover hidden trails for an endless amount of activities and guests can also take advantage of the proximity of Cook Forest if they fancy heading to a new area. There are several small towns that surround the national forest, all of which offer a charming community feel and a selection of festivals and fairs throughout the year.
Very nice place it fits the bill for what I need there . I like the rooms they leave you alone better than a tent in the woods, the new owner is very nice he will make it a better place in time with COVID now he is short staffed but they put a lot of towels and coffee in the room please try it out

I was looking for a place to bring my boyfriend for his birthday and stumbled upon Camptel and instantly loved the idea! We stayed in the racoon tiny house and it was definitely tiny but we spent a lot of time outdoors so it was fine for us. Stephen and Caesar were both welcoming and accommodating, and the heat worked great. There is a TV with a few channels, microwave, fridge, and shower. If you are okay with few amenities and the camping vibe without having to sleep in a tent this place will definitely be for you. There is also a state park next door with a really cool waterfall. Definitely recommend a stay at Camptel!

Lodging for the modern explorer. Inspired accommodations, epic amenities, + the great outdoors. DC | Baltimore | Philly | Pittsburgh
We visited River Mountain for one night Mothers Day weekend. We are a family of 5 and had two yurts. Our dog was able to come with us. We had a great night, even in the rain. We were greeted by two staff members and they took us to our yurts to get us settled in. The yurts had a pellet stove which was perfect ( and needed) for the weather. There is a short trail to the main activities building and the main dining area. Our children liked the activities building with games, ping pong, football, etc. The main dining area has three communal tables and is very quaint with a fireplace for cold days. We enjoyed our dinner and breakfast the following morning. The bathroom facilities were very clean and a short walk from the yurts. We absolutely loved it, the low key, family atmosphere and being outdoors. We look forward to visiting again. It’s a gem of a place, so lucky we found out about it.

When I read all the negative reviews, I was kind of afraid to go, but we actually loved it. We were in the three bedroom unit and it was very spacious. We've been going to the Poconos for the last 6 years and this was our favorite resort so we are coming again next year. We used our fireplace every night. The unit was clean... All appliances worked. I thought it was very nice and I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

I had a small wedding in the tavern. It was beautifully decorated and the serving staff was competent, attentive and very kind. Lisa (wedding organizer) was amazing. She helped me and my fiance from planning it, all the way up to the wedding day. She made sure my day went smoothly. I would recommend this place to get married. It was a great day and a beautiful ceremony and reception from start to finish.
