Overall our trip was good. It was our first trip and her shakedown camp for our new to us 2014 bounder it rained almost the whole time and we had a water leak that flooded our back bath but neither was the parks fault. I also installed our surge protector upside down so I was not getting power. The park sent a gentleman out who worked with me and we figured I installed it incorrectly. He even checked on us later after I made the necessary repair. Great guy to have. Park was clean and loved when you put the garbage out it disappeared like a picnic basket around To go. We defiantly plan to come again.

This was our second visit to Ole Mink Farm and once again, it was incredible. Husband and I needed a peaceful getaway and booked a cabin there. The property is clean and well kept, the accommodations were spotless and Debbie, the owner could not be more accommodating, ensuring our stay was memorable. I highly recommend Old Mink Farm.

We stayed in the cozy Timber Ridge cabin on loop D which has twin bunk beds and a queen bed - perfect size for our family of 4. There’s a shower, kitchen sink, full sized Keurig, half sized fridge (note: no freezer), table and 4 chairs and a tv/dvd with some signal. The fire ring, grill and picnic table were towards the back left from cabin - perfect proximity and location while still being private and woodsy. We are first time campers and appreciated the AC, especially on a 100°+ heat index weekend. Staff were friendly and helpful and plenty of fun activities were offered (painting ceramics, pillow jumping, tie dying, jewel mining, glow stick/lantern hikes, movies under the stars, slip and slide). We loved the simple pleasures and appreciated it not being the big commercial type of “resort” campground. We had a blast and are definitely coming back when it’s cooler!

We just spent the last four nights at the Assateague Island State Park campground, it was outstanding!! We had a great clean site. Clean well taken care of bath houses and two very pleasant and nice camp hosts. The prices are very reasonable. The beach is clean and amazing!! We also had several visits from the wild ponies!

Camping is available only in the Maryland district of Assateague Island. Campers are reminded to bring firewood, sunscreen, insect repellent, screen tents for shade and insect protection, and long tent stakes to anchor tents in the sand and wind.
We LOVE this campground/site. But DON'T be THAT tourist/camper/visitor! The horses live here, you do not! Respect them, give them space, don't feed them, and don't allow your dogs/animals to chase them! You should not be camping with dogs/animals anyway! There is usually wind here so be prepared. Just enjoy the atmosphere, and respect the wildlife and their home. and clean up after yourself! Sounds pretty commonsense-like to me, but you'd be surprised by the idiots that harrass the horses (or sadly, not surprised?)

One and a half hours from D.C. and Baltimore we have a small tree house campground and are open year round. There are a variety of camping options, the Hobbit House and Tree Cottages have wood stoves and mattresses, there are new ones and older ones. There are a variety of tree houses, they do not have mattresses or wood stoves. Each site has a fire circle, picnic table, and grill. The bathrooms and showers are centrally located. We have secluded tent sites. We are 7 miles from river rafting, tubing, horseback riding, zip-lining, and a ten-minute walk from the Appalachian Trail. Also, 10 minutes from a train into D.C.
My partner and I arrived later in the day on a Friday after work and stayed a weekend at the unit called Magnolia. Make sure when visiting the campgrounds that you have a lantern available as the units are significantly darker than you might expect. Magnolia was very clean on the interior. At the exterior, the landscape slopes toward the cottage more than we thought was comfortable. The showers and dishwashing facilities were in good condition. This region generally has quite a few different attractions for nature lovers including a long hike along the Appalachian trail nearby and proximity to quaint small towns. Last, but definitely not least, Nick and his partner were among the most accommodating and friendly hosts one could ask for. When we had difficulty setting a campfire they generously gifted us some leftover materials to start our fire and advised us on best practices! We recommend that anyone interested in having a weekend away in nature investigate the Treehouse camp!

This campground is less than an hour from home and on the water so we thought to give it a try. The website pictures are very deceiving. The park is mostly a trailer park with some rental sites. The drainage on most sites is terrible. Quite expensive. Sights are really tight and ownership needs to put some time and money into improvements and upkeep. Not our optimal idea of getting away. Our site faced the back of the bathhouse. We’ll stick to state parks from now on. Shrimp on the grill was a highlight

Lynne Newberry Boca Raton, FL I was introduced to Cabins on the River nearly three years ago by a special friend who has been visiting for several years. His stories of this idyllic location were not exaggerated. From the very first visit, I have been impressed with Rodney and Connie’s hospitality and attention to every detail. Even on a holiday weekend, when all the cabins are occupied, they work behind the scenes to ensure every guest’s enjoyment and privacy. We can choose to remain at our cabin and enjoy the solitude along the Casselman River or venture out to nearby biking and hiking trails. We always enjoy the numerous water activities, variety of restaurants and beautifully handmade Amish crafts. No wonder guests return year after year!

Quaint little cottages which turned out to be a nice little surprise. Alex was very accommodating and an absolute pleasure to spend time talking to. Great bay views, boats to rent , or you can use the free kayaks. Built a nice fire on our last night there which was very relaxing. If you are looking for something different other than hotels thus is the place to go. Quick access to all the restaurants and the town of St Michaels. Also met some very nice people that we spent several hours talking to. I will be back!
