Camping located 1.5 Km from the beaches of Lake Annecy. 100 Pitches. Chalet, mobile homes, trailers, ... Atmosphere familialle Animation and restaurant (July / August)
Campsite owners were catering for very large groups in the restaurant approx 16 on one table and 8 on another. Not much social distancing going on their. We also watched one of their COVID deep cleans after a guest left and it took a maximum of 10 minutes. You can decide whether that is good enough for you. Our caravan had mold on the wall next to the wardrobe and the wardrobe was dirty. However, the final straw is that you will not get your deposit back no matter how much you clean before you leave unless you make them inspect the caravan and confirm it is ok before you leave. We’ve been unable to get them to inspect 2 out of 3 visits and guess what each time we get charged. No more because we won’t be going back which is a shame because it’s a good location. Don’t expect the grass and trees to be manicured like the photos in September as it is not worth it for them at the end of the season. If you are camping make sure you take your own loo paper because the rationed stuff in the toilet block is the narrowest you’ll ever see if there is any left to dispense before you go into the loo. You can probably detect the theme of saving and making money here.

We had a fantastic time in our luxury cocoon. Everything was perfect. Our luggage was transported to the cabine. We had a nice diner and breakfast served. When we entered the room there was a special snack suprise. And off course the fantastic view from the terrace and from the bathtub. Everything was perfect

I am here right now. The site itself is lovely and clean, pool facilities are nice and the views are lovely. However I am staying with Eurocamp in a mobile home and we are crammed in like sardines. Every morning I am woken up with somebody packing up and leaving early. Slam car door. ‘YOU GOT EVERYTHING BRENDA?’ Slam car door. ‘YES TONY I’VE GOT EVERYTHING.’ Slam car door. slam car doors some more. I am woken up every morning by people slamming car doors and talking loudly with no consideration for others. I can hear belching of other campers and conversations which is reminding me of Butlins. Unfortunately this is not the sites fault but the holiday makers staying here however it really isn’t helped by how cramped in the mobile homes are. This evening we have had our neighbour campers walk through our pitch up to five times. Right infront of us whilst we eat and drink, not via their own paths from their pitches but through ours. I have camped at various sites through France and Spain with Eurocamp and canvas for over 20 years and have never had this before and I find it very rude. It is a shame because the site and location is very nice. But these issues have caused me stress and I have found it difficult to relax.

We stayed at Camping Les Ecureuils from Sunday the 26th to the 29th August. From the first communication with Sally at Camping Les Ecureuils right until we left I can find nothing negative to say about the site. I’m sure that some would say the “grounds too rough or stony” yes there’s a few pebbles but your staying at the foot of the highest mountain in Europe so man up. The campsite is located just a few hundred yards from the bus stop and a train station to town with the imposing Bossons Glacier looking down upon it. So the location is impressive to say the least. But I must stress for me the service and advice given from Sally and her team was second to none, she was happy to book us a restaurant, give us advice on where to go and what to see during our three days. Thanks Sally ????

A brilliant campsite situated in the heart of Bourg D`oisans & close to some iconic cycling climbs that we were in the area for. Wonderful scenery for walking, cycling & other outdoor activities. Friendly, helpful staff & a nice restaurant/bar. Good wash room facilities. When we were there we were just out of season so it was quiet which was nice. Will defiantly be returning.

Campsite 5* 50 pitches and 27 mobilhome/chalet. Covered and heated Swimming pool. Restaurant in the campsite. Sports field.
Stayed here for a weekend in September for a bike event. We stayed in a camping chalet. It was very clean and functional. Shower block was very clean, plenty of hot water. The location is ideal for cyclists and walkers. Literally 10 metres from the base of the Alpe d'Huez climb. Would recommend this campsite and will be visiting again. Thanks Patricia

We have just returned from a week here and on arrival were greeted very warmly by the extremely helpful and friendly staff. The location at the bottom of the lifts/piste was great, but be aware that its not the main lift so there is only a small supermarket, ski hire and restaurant around, you will need to go up to the main resort for a choice of shopping/restaurants. The apartment was really well equipped with a large balcony and we ended up with a 3 bed duplex, instead of the 2 bed we booked. Downstairs was really spacious and clean, with a shower room and a kitchen with pretty much everything you would need. Upstairs was not as good, as two of the bedrooms were in the eaves with very little headroom and the bathroom was absolutely tiny. Fine for children , not so great for adults. The pool area was great, loads of seating, 2 x jacuzzi, steam room and sauna, which were all working and hot. Great after a day on the slopes. Really nice for a relaxing holiday, but not right in the heart of the action if that's what you prefer.

Choose a holiday in the great outdoors in the Haute-Tarentaise valley, just a stone’s throw from Les Arcs. The Huttopia Bourg St Maurice campsite welcomes you in summer or winter in the heart of Savoy. Treat yourself to the comfort of a wooden chalet with views of the mountains. Lovers of fresh air, mountains and nature activities, this campsite is for you!
Been to loads of Huttopia sites and really like this one for it's location and accommodation. Mostly chalets with log fires since it's open all year round. The chalet stays cool in the summer which is a big plus. Really nice friendly staff who even sorted us out when we arrived a day early!! The site is small and really well kept, plenty of space between the tents/chalets/mobiles. The vibe on ascension weekend was very quiet, young kids, mostly French. As usual with Huttopia there's little in terms of lively entertainment, just a 'Roulotte' serving pizza and drinks for a few hours each night.. However the town is lively and only a 15 mins walk away with loads of food and drink options and SuperU is literally 5 mins walk. Loads to do and see around the area within a fairly short drive.
