Colorado is home to no less than twenty-six ski resorts such as those in Vail and Breckenridge; other winter activities include snowboarding, sledding, sleigh rides, snow hiking and snowmobiling. The state is blessed with national parks, grasslands and forests where in warmer weather you can enjoy hiking, mountain biking or rock climbing. Wildlife abounds, from bears to moose and raccoons to wolverines. More interested in local history? Head for either the Ute Indian Museum or the Koshare Indian Museum, and don't miss the forts such as Fort Garland and Bent's Old Fort. For a complete change, why not take a ride in a hot air balloon from South Park Valley or Boulder and admire Colorado's picturesque landscape from above?

Adventure near Denver! We're a family-friendly adventure park with lots of outdoor activities like zipline, rafting, via ferrata mountain climbing, and more! We also have lodging with tiny-home style, fully furnished Cabins and one-room Yurts that are great for large groups and feature bunk beds.
We booked a last minute rafting trip with Lawson Adventure Park for our family of six. Roach was our guide and we had a fantastic rafting experience! It was easy, clean and the water was fun. Highly recommend Lawson.

Comfortable rustic log cabins nestled among towering Rocky Mountain pine and spruce trees, with full kitchens and huge stone wood-burning fireplaces. There are large front porches, picnic tables, BBQ grills, lounge chairs, and sitting areas along the creek. Located 25 miles west of Denver and an easy, 45 minute drive from Denver International Airport. The cabins have been a resort destination since 1947 in beautiful Evergreen (1 mile away), which is a sought after destination from around the world.
We have stayed at Colorado Bear Creek several times when visiting family in Evergreen. The cabins are comfortable, spotlessly clean, fully equipped with kitchen, bathroom and outside area. Proximity to Bear Creek is breathtaking! The housekeeping staff is very thorough and friendly. The owners are very helpful and easy to communicate with. I would not stay anywhere else! HIGHLY recommend!

Enjoy spectacular views of Pikes Peak, “America’s Mountain.” Our location among Colorado’s historical mountain towns will make your camping experience in Colorado Springs truly memorable. Adding to this, we’ve upgraded to give you the modern comforts. Ideal for outdoor enthusiasts, families, rallies, and even individuals who want to “disconnect” and explore the picturesque surroundings of the Garden of the Gods.
We arrived slightly after hours so the office was closed. The individual who took our booking info over the phone said he would email us a map of the parking area..........however he neglected to do that. Therefore when we arrived at dusk, I did not know where to go. I approached a staff attendant who was cleaning and asked him. He immediately dropped what he was doing and said "follow me in the golf cart." Wow! That was super nice and he even assisted with backing into the proper space. The area is nice and clean with a friendly atmosphere and there are clearly several RV's here parked for the "long haul" (all winter).

Nice place to stay in Pagosa. We stayed in a suite. Nice to have separate living, kitchen, and bedroom areas. Everything was clean. Furniture isn't new but was comfortable. Slept well. Didn't use the pool area, but there is one. Our room was pet friendly, but our dog didn't seem to notice that others has come before him. So room was well cleared. Office person on duty from 9am to 9pm. We would stay here again.

My girlfriend and I stayed here in September, 2020. When I made my reservation, my mom told me that it sounded like the same motel she and Dad had stayed at in 1958 during a trip there. After I showed her pictures of the motel, she confirmed that it was. "It wasn't very fancy, was it?" she asked. No, Mom, it's not. When you stay on the bottom floor (in the back of the motel, facing the stream - which is the best part of the whole property), you'll hear EVERY. SINGLE. FOOTSTEP. that your neighbors above you take. The ceiling - their floor - is thin. Very thin. Mighty thin. But not as thin as the walls. Oh, no. The walls are thin, and when your neighbor decides to play his radio at 3:00am, you will hear EVERY. SINGLE. DRUMBEAT. AND. EVERY. SINGLE. BASS LINE. So, if you decide to recover from your sleep deprived night with a wonderful hot shower, guess what - HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA there's NO hot water, and VERY LITTLE water pressure! And, if you're female, and you decide to go up to the parking lot to make a call because the reception in your room is not great, and the owner of the motel yells at you asking you who you are and which room you're staying in - THAT is a real knee slapper, I tell ya!! We stayed two nights. We had pre-paid for our room. When we decided to stay a third night in the Springs area, we stayed in a hotel north of town. It's tempting to catch their specials on websites such as this because their prices are below average. But, your experience will also be below average. Take your chances, if you dare.

We stayed in cabin #21 (The Almont) during the wine/art festival recently. Our cabin was filthy! I swept up a large amount of dirt from the floors throughout the cabin. Someone attempted to dust the dirt off a bedroom end table and it was obvious they didn’t pick up anything to dust. Towels and sheets were worn, and the kitchen dish towel was stained. The front porch, swing and chairs were covered with lots of dust. There is no pride of ownership from several cabins within the resort. The internet was poor and TV didn’t work the two days/nights we were there. We understood most of the cabins are owned by individuals. Unfortunately, this was only choice we had to stay in Lake City due to festival. It is very overpriced for what you get!

My family stayed at Kiser Creek with our two college girls and a friend. I can’t say enough nice things about the stay. The owner is the most friendly, giving host I have encountered. He made us feel at home and was very accommodating. If you want a quiet, beautiful, peaceful trip, I highly recommend to check out these cabins. We took a walk to the private creek and the owner made us an outstanding fire where we could sit outside in the snow, enjoy the fire and the amazing stars.

This is not an entirely bad park. The people are good people. They suspected a thief was tent camping and warned us. it made sense--the fellow tried to sell me a brand new robotic vacuum cleaner he "did not need for his RV." The indoor facilities were impeccably clean, better. Cleanest restrooms and showers my wife or I have seen. It is easy to navigate the interior roads. The problem is the ground. It is 50% dirt and 50% gravel. It was improperly engineered when developed and drains poorly, worse. We were in the middle of puddles and mud. This can be corrected, it would take much engineering and park overhaul. I will gladly stay here again if I know there is no rain in the forecast. It is in an excellent location for one who desires to stop in La Junta.
