A pleasant small hotel built into the old city walls, at a great price. There is a also a great restaurant with seating in a patio out front, indoor seating, or a stunning garden patio behind the hotel (where we had dinner and breakfast. The food is traditional "venta" food, very good at very reasonable prices. The breakfast (included in the room price) is waiter served with lots of choices, far better than the usual buffet style hotel breakfasts. I had tostada con tomate y queso, really good. Finally, the service was fantastic, everyone was friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend.

The hotel is located in the most beautiful zone of Zafra, the old town, an it’s stately great house restored in 1993, under the porches of the Great Square.Surrounded by monuments, very near we can visit the Convent of Santa Catalina founded in 1500. In a lateral , the Hospital de Santiago of Medejar architecture. The Hotel has 22 rooms, 17 between double rooms and marriage, and 5 single rooms.
This is one the loveliest hotels we styed in in Spain. Although only 1*, it is in a wonderful location right on the main square of Zafra, with beautiful views over the square and the roofs of the old town. The rooms are perfectly adequate if not large – comfortable beds, flat screen TV, and a very good breakfast is available in the fascinating Spanish courtyard of the hotel. The only unusual experience is that when we personally tried to ask for a room at around 5.30, we were told that they are fully booked – yet half an hour later we had no trouble booking a twin room on the internet… ? Anyway, we were very happy to stay here – highly recommended!

Modern rooms. Hard bed. We paid double price of next days price due to show on in town. Biggest problem was the air con in the room just did not bring temperature down. So lots of fan noise but no cold air. Breakfast toast butter and jam with 4 coffees reasonable at €6.60. Parking on street outside ,if you're lucky, free and safe.
