Whether you’re exploring Vermont’s covered bridges, visiting Quechee Gorge or skiing at Killington, you’ll find Vermont to be picture-perfect. If you’re the outdoorsy type, you’ll love Vermont. In winter, of course, there’s plenty of skiing and snowboarding. In the warmer months, however, Vermont offers plenty of opportunities for hiking, biking, fishing and boating. If you enjoy boating, swimming and fishing, a vacation rental on Lake Champlain might be perfect for you.

Tucked into a quiet, wooded hillside with gorgeous views of the Green Mountains, the Timberholm Inn is a classic Stowe Vermont experience. Built in 1949, our nine-room bed and breakfast is recognized by the Stowe Historical Society as one of Stowe's very first ski lodges and it remains one of the most popular year round lodging properties to this day. The rustic interior of our bed and breakfast is finished with rich knotty pine, unique nooks and crannies and a large common area for guests to relax after a long day. Inside our casual Vermont Inn you will enjoy a relaxed atmosphere, friendly New England hospitality, a memorable breakfast and an afternoon treat. Amenities include a TV lounge, outdoor hot tub and complimentary wi-fi. Our inn is conveniently located within the town of Stowe, between our historic village and Vermont's highest mountain Mount Mansfield, which attracts visitors from around the world!
Only stayed one night in the Aspen Suite but, it was great! Even had a bear walk across the backyard while we were on the deck! Valerie is a very personable owner and quite the cook...breakfast, waffle with fresh fruit and bacon along with a zucchini and white chocolate chip muffin, was on point!

Built in 1793, the inn was originally the home of Colonel Joseph Marsh, Vermont's first lieutenant governor. Since that time, the historic residence has been expanded and carefully restored to maintain as much of the 19th century character and charm as possible, while adding modern conveniences like private baths, cable TV, and air conditioning for all of the guest rooms.
The Inn was lovely, the location was great. You can walk across the street and find a path that will lead you right to the gorge. Breakfast which was included was plentiful and delicious. We also chose the overnight dinner package and dinner was delicious. Service was great.

Charming place next door to the drive-in theater. The VIP suite was spacious and spotless with well thought through decor. The sofa mattress was uncomfortable, but the bed was great. Bar stools at the counter were unsteady, but definitely a great add-on to the ambiance. Customer service was incredible. Seamless check in/check out. Free drive-in theater admission was a pleasant surprise and a must-see. The place is truly 5 star for its class and 10 star for the amount of thought that went into it. However, I found it to be overpriced for the accommodations ( hence the missing star). Thank you for the lovely stay!

The Old Stagecoach Inn, an historic bed and breakfast was built in 1826, and is conveniently located in the heart of Waterbury Village. Formerly a tavern, stagecoach stop, and private residence, it is currently listed in the National Register of Historic Places. Walking distance from local restaurants and shops, enjoy a leisurely dinner or visit a local pub without having to get into your car. Twelve tastefully decorated and comfortable guest rooms and Vermont's best country breakfast.
We chose this B&B as it was smack-bang in the middle of Waterbury close to the pubs we wanted to visit after a short drive to The Alchemist Brewery in Stowe. It’s definitely an historic building with character. The stairs heading to the third level have a bit of a lean on them and creaky floorboards abound. I wouldn’t want to be on lower levels under those creaky boards but it’s a small thing. Room was clean, comfortable, and warm- it hit minus 5C the night of our stay. Breakfast was awesome and we were told that it wasn’t the ‘normal menu’ as the chef/owner was on holiday. It was the best included breakfast across all properties I stayed in for this trip. Highly recommended.

Lovely Victorian manor and Carriage House within an easy walk of downtown shops and restaurants. Nine spacious rooms all with private bath, many with fireplaces. Full breakfast served in beautiful dining room with original ornate plaster work. Afternoon tea provided in the mahogany paneled library. Close local attractions including the Bennington Museum, Bennington Monument, Clark Art Institute (Williamstown, MA), Oldcastle Theatre, Mount Anthony golf course and weekly Farmer's Market.
We stayed at South Shire for 3 nights as a get away. The room was very relaxing with a fireplace (Duralogs were provided each night). The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfasts were delicious. Conversations were interesting, informative, and enjoyable. We would recommend South Shire. It was a great location also. We easily toured the Shires over the 4 days we were there.

The Harvest Barn Inn is a charming, casual, affordable place to stay in Southern Vermont, close to New Hampshire and Massachusetts. We offer gorgeous views, clean, quiet, cozy rooms and outrageously good breakfasts, all for about the same price as a standard hotel. We offer cooking and crafting classes, room for families to re-connect, and romantic getaway packages.
We stayed in the Mountain View room and were very happy. The rate was reasonable, the creative breakfast was delicious. It is in a very scenic and safe area. Plenty of parking and well lit walkways at night.
