A charming B&B at the heart of Verdun. The best place to stay for your trips in the region!
We stayed at this place on our way to Normandy and it was a wonderful experience. We enjoyed every moment there. The house itself is great but what sets it completely apart is the host. Béatrice is extremely helpful and kind, helps you find your way around the city and, on top of it all, she is an excellent cook. We were a family of six and we all simply loved everything that she made. One of the local specialties which she let us taste was the “crème de mirabelles”, a local liqueur which is served with wine. We liked it so much we wanted to take some home with us and she did not hesitate to go and buy it for us along with the wine which she went to get from her wine-seller. Thank you so much, Béatrice. If we go back to France, we will definitely stay at your place again, Eva

On the ground floor with your own entrance, we offer 2 newly renovated bedrooms with bed 160 x 200, walk-in shower and separate toilet. We offer a microwave and refrigerator. Your accommodation is 10 minutes walk from Verdun city center, and 10 minutes by car from the historic sites of the Great War. Our services are 45 € for the room per night with breakfast at 6 € per person. Upstairs, 2 air-conditioned bedrooms with bed 160 x 200, with shower and WC.
We had paid a deposit and we had written confirmation of our booking but when we arrived they had given our room to someone else! They found us a room elsewhere in a hot cramped old fashioned hotel of poor standard.

Ideal for discovering our region and the battlefields of the First World War. We are delighted to welcome you in one of our 5 guest rooms. We are located in a quiet residential area, 10 minutes on foot from the city center and near the vestiges of the WWI.
Fantastic hosts. If you are interested in the history of Verdun, the city or battlefield, I strongly recommend you stay here. The property is very well appointed. The room was beautiful. Tastefully decorated. Lots of oak...floors and furniture. Parking available on the property. I walked to the center of town in about 15 minutes. The route takes one by the canal, the river, and historic sites. The restaurant recommended by the host was very good. It appeared that only locals were there, unlike the restaurants along the river. The Dragee served a great breakfast. Very much a family style event. Easy to find. Easy to drive to the battlefield. Very quiet, family neighborhood. Very safe. The route to the city center was also very safe. The canal and river walk is relaxing. I highly recommend the Dragee.

A wonderful small house in a quiet street with a lovely garden and yet just a 5 minute walk to the centre of Verdun. The owner is a charming woman with artistic feeling and this house is furnished and decorated accordingly. The room was very comfortable, quiet and we both slept very well. The bathroom was very well equipped and the shower excellent. The breakfast was amazing with a variety of items freshly prepared by the owner. There is ample free parking, good WiFi and a delightful dog named Falco!

Very central position. Parking a little tricky but worked out well for us. Within 5 minutes of a supermarket. Large, quiet and beautifully re-furbished. Good value breakfast available. Made for a very pleasant two night stay.

The Villa Chantal is ideally located at the entrace of the city of Verdun, next to the "carrefour des Maréchaux". Villa Chantal rooms can either be used individualy for different groups of persons or globally, as an appartement for hosting a whole family. Two spacious and confortable rooms "soleil" and "citadine" give the customers some nice and warm places to stay. Each room has an independant bathroom and a lounge.
My companion and I wanted to visit the Verdun battlefields. We found a delightful bed and breakfast run by Petra and Daniel Zilliox. Our room was impeccable, breakfast was delicious, and the couple took us on an extensive tour of the battlefields for a reasonable price for a complete day. We would happily return and we recommend Villa Chantal for a wonderful visit in Verdun.

We stayed in Hotel F1 for a night. It was okay, the reason I say okay is because in our room we’re multiple bugs: spiders, moths, flys etc. The shared toilets weren’t bad but they weren’t the best and although this wasn’t the actual hotels fault, however there was a lot of drunk people and the 9 people in our family staying there found it very difficult to sleep with all the noise being made. On the contrary, the breakfast was normal breakfast but I thought it was nice and the service of the staff I found was very nice. Would I stay here again? Probably only for another night. Would I recommend it? Probably not.
