The smaller half of Trinidad and Tobago, the 116-square mile island is a top eco-tourism destination. Its rainforest has been protected since 1776. Kayak through mangrove swamps, mountain bike testing trails in the island's northeast, drift dive with manta rays and sharks, hike the Rainforest Reserve or take in the distinctive Tobago pursuits of goat and crab racing. Cars, taxis and "maxi taxi" minibuses make it easy to get around the island. Carnival sees this exuberant island at its most extroverted.

Breathtaking is an understatement for this luxurious Tobagonian hideaway. This exclusive resort is built on a stunning 4.5-acre beachfront property, dotted with lush coconut and almond groves. Nestled into the beautifully secluded Bacolet Bay, the suites offer stunning panoramic views of the Caribbean Sea and nearby Bacolet Bay. This delightful club is committed to providing guests with luxury and personal service. Its intimate size encourages a particularly warm and family-friendly atmosphere, which has been fostered by its owner’s years of travel experience strutting the international catwalks across Europe. The resort’s 50 ocean-front suites have been styled to reflect a cross-cultural aesthetic; Asian-inspired silk elements blend nicely with curlicued pieces and modernist fixtures in a chic manner. Throughout the rooms, the balance with nature is very evident. The airy interiors are filled with luxurious details, such as delicately beaded lamps and grand, silk-covered chaise.
Booked Half Blue Moon hotel opposite but was told the room I booked was being renovated, allocated nice room in Bacolet Beach Club but had to move after 2 days due to failed water supply, had one evening without internet, hotel needs tidying up, rubbish not disposed of (paint tins/rubble) poolside needs weeding, staff standard variable, some staff appeared disinterested, others worked their socks off and couldn’t help enough and were lovely! Describes itself a beach club but beach was unusable due to masses of seaweed, and beach bar was closed. Staff and Facilities were limited but pools were nice and kept clean and food in restaurant was good.

We are a small 10 room Hotel. 2 Suites 2 Family/Superior rooms 6 Standard rooms(2 twin, 4 double) Small Restaurant and bar. 15 minute walk to Store Bay beach/Airport
My husband and I have stayed at the humming bird around 4 times now, its a great hotel with a great location, its close to the nicest beaches and Crown Point strip, I would advise a car for all stays in tobago but its close enough for a stroll or a taxi. The rooms and clean and perfectly fine for what you need, dont expect a 5 star hotel for a 3 star price. The beds are comfortable, the ac is great and the TV has plenty of channels WiFi has always been fine and my husband loves pauls breakfasts. We also chose to stay here for our wedding with our whole family, Paul AND Linda have always been lovely to us, Linda has cooked for my husband (when the hotel does not do evening meals) a couple of times when he has been there without me, and looked after him. The maid offered to provide lifts for our wedding guests to the beach, and little sparkle is exactly what his name says "a sparkle" we love to see him around at breakfast and give him a cuddle. Its just like staying with family. The pool and surrounding area is lovely and relaxing and well kept and clean. Overall its a good base for exploring and an enjoyable relaxing stay, I wouldn't say its only good for short stays as we have stayed for 2 weeks several times and been perfectly comfortable, compared to other hotels the humming bird is very good value for money. If you want to stay somewhere close to the night life and beaches and recieve a warm welcome from owners who have good local knowledge then this is the place for you.

We visited Buccoo March, 2020 and vowed that someday we would be back. We were specifically interested in Miller’s Guest House because of the location and we are not disappointed. We stayed in unit#8 overlooking the warf. The apartment is spacious and has all that you would need for your stay. We could see upgrades being done in all of the rooms, and if you enjoy basic, comfortable accommodations, this place is perfect. The WIFI worked fine, however when I was watching a movie and my husband was googling stuff, it was a bit slow. There was lots of music and activity on the pier when the fishermen would bring in their catch. If that tends to bother you, bring ear plugs to sleep. … which might come in handy when the resident rooster sounds his alarm very early in the morning. We bought groceries at nearby stands and mini-marts, however did enjoy our meals out. We were very impressed with Winston, his knowledge of Tobago and his roots in such a warm and friendly community. My husband enjoyed discussing world events with him and appreciated his conversant manner. We will definitely come back.

The guest house is just across the street from the Buccoo Beach. Had to share the kitchen and living area. The rooms were clean. The manager Penny was very helpful indeed. For a small fee she picked me up at the airport and taxied me around if necessary . She also arranged a taxi for the trip back to the airport. There is a room with a washer and dryer ... There is a bakery a few meters away. There is an Italian restaurant next door , and a little food court across the street delicious food) and a little grocery up the road. However I would suggest to carry some food supplies for the first night/day until you settled. Seaside Garden is directly in front of the beach, but you have to cross the street and walk through a compound in order to get there...so while it is ’beach front’...it isn’t. However a Boardwalk is being constructed so anytime now, getting straight to the beach will be possible. For the price it is a very good place to stay. If you like ‘low key’...just the beach, and are on a budget , then this may be a great choice for you.

We stopped in to see their gardens and animals in the back, and they were gracious enough to show us one of their rooms, as well. The gardens are beautiful, and we thoroughly enjoyed their animal collection The property is clean and lovely. I can not address the lack of patrons, or address any of the poorer reviews, as we didn't stay here. The room we saw was spacious and clean, and I would not have had an issue had we been staying here. See pictures to see for yourself.
