Last min booking, as we decided to stay in Shrewsbury another night. My partner found this place, dog friendly and with breakfast. OMG!!!! Could not fault one thing. The staff went above and beyond to provide. Nothing was any trouble, mad a fuss of my dog, even got treats. Oh how I wish I’d found this hotel when I first booked to stay in Shrewsbury. Evening in the room was just high end perfection. Even the tea and coffee facilities were of top quality. And then, the breakfast. As we had a dog we were sat outside, which was no problem. And the selection is excellent. I would go back, and I would stay there over and over.

Stayed for 2 nights as we were down for a wedding. We stayed in room 1 with the 4 poster bed. The room was nice enough - clean, fresh towels, toiletries, tea and coffee facilities. What we didn't realise is that we had no window. I appreciate it's an old pub so a bit quirky layout upstairs but it did mean the room was very dark and stuffy. There was a fan but it kinda just blew warm stuffy air around. No huge biggie but worth noting. The bed was comfy enough but really squeaky, so every time we moved, it was so loud! Apologies to room next door! Breakfast was nice - just a small thing though - a full breakfast was supposed to have 2 sausages, 2 bacon etc. We were only given 1. Again, not a biggie! The rooms are above the pub so it's REALLY NOISY. This didn't bother us on the Saturday as we were away all day, but did mean we had only a couple of hours sleep on the Friday. Staff were friendly, it's a great central spot, the rooms are clean and breakfast tasted good. Would I stay again? Sorry, no - just because of the noise from pub

We do not often write reviews but the experience was so different to another B&B (in Knowstone, Devon) that we felt compelled to write and thank our host. From the excellent homemade cake (she said it was the best she had eaten!) and tea on arrival to the excellent breakfast the next morning . I particularly liked the sausage which was full of flavour and was a class sausage unlike a lot we have had at various establishments. The bedroom was clean and tidy with good quality linen and a nice shower. If I was being exceptionally picky I would suggest changing a couple of double sockets to ones with USB ports. ( I mention this as a suggestion to Louise.) Overall it was an excellent place to stay and we would have no hesitation in booking again. Alan & Colleen

Shrewsbury Town centre located popular Restaurant and Bar with Boutique Bedrooms. The rooms are completed to a high standard, full of great touches and unique charm. Each individual boutique bedroom has it’s own name indicative of the streets around the town. Completely and unmistakably evocative of the “Town of Flowers”. As a family run business you will receive the warmest of welcomes and our friendly team will ensure you feel right at home during your stay. We look forward to welcoming you
Only the 2nd time I’ve stayed but a great find. Rooms are decent enough but this time I got the one with the balcony well more like a beer garden! A lovely roof terrace with fake grass , table and chairs perfect in the sun that day, just missing some cold beers and a mini bar! Breakfast is superb especially the eggs Benedict. Staff are very friendly, chatty and couldn’t do enough for you. Parking is the only downside but once you know where to go it’s fairly easy (not the one opposite but next one down as it’s free for longer overnight). I will be back to stay next time I’m in Shrewsbury.

Wow! - an absolutely wonderful find, what a beautiful little pub. Most definitely worth a visit, if in town. Very friendly and welcoming staff, excellent food, clearly cooked with love - the home cut chips were yummy as was the steak and ale pie. A extensive menu at a fantastic price, with a 2 for £12 menu too, which proved popular. We'll definitely be returning when next in the area *****.

My wife and I spent 2 nights at this wonderful hotel whilst visiting the nearby Wroxeter Roman Vineyard. The hotel gave us a great deal and we stayed in Room 5 which was delightful. It was very spacious and had a view over the garden and river, through 3 large windows! The room was spotlessly clean on our arrival and was serviced on the second day too. We ate 2 evening meals in the restaurant and both were delicious and were served quickly and by delightful staff. We also had breakfast included and thois, too, was very good. We both enjoyed the huge garden at the back of the hotel as it was right next to the River Severn with lots of available picnic tables. The large terrace was also very comfortable for an early evening drink. We would DEFINITELY recommend The Corbet Arms!! Geoff & Wendy

television had been broken off the wall and propped up on the dressing table, Towel rail in bathroom broken and missing parts, absolutely no hot water other than the electric shower, most uncomfortable bed We`ve ever had the displeasure of staying awake on. The whole lot needs refurbishment and upkeeping, we wouldn`t either reccomend staying here or return ourselves

We went to Drapers following a recommendation. We were not disappointed! The new management took over 4 months ago and they deserve huge success if our meal is anything to go by. It is fine dining, which is reflected in the price, but in my opinion worth every penny. My starter of asparagus is up there with one of the best I’ve ever had. We will be returning as often as possible. Food excellent, staff excellent and dining in a building steeped in historical Shrewsbury.
