This hotel is great. The service is excellent. The staff is really friendly. I ordered breakfast and is really good. I recommend this hotel if you stop by and visit Salamina - Caldas. The location is just less than a block of the central square, in the middle of everything

A few blocks from the main park in the historical center is Lola Garcia's house / Hotel Boutique, representative of the architecture and culture of the "City of Lights" Salamina. The house has been built on two levels, central courtyard, garden, living room, dining room, seven comfortable rooms. It has been designed with good style and the best services to our guests.Elegant spaces for relaxing, tranquility and privacy of guests, local and visitors. Private bathrooms, hot water, bed-clothes and towels. TV cable.
We stayed at CasaLola for 5 nights. It is a beautifully restored colonial house with 4 internal courtyards with the rooms located around these. Although the parque Bolivar is only a block away, there is complete silence at night so a good nights sleep is guaranteed! Lena and Mauricio are the perfect hosts and NOTHING is too much trouble for them. They organised our trip to La Samaria to see the famous palmas de cera (wax palms) with guide German, whose expert knowledge and great enthusiasm made it a truly magical experience.

A truly Wonderful hotel experience. My wife and I were on a motorcycle tour. We came in wet, muddy and tired and were met by Daniel, who made us feel so welcome. The hotel is amazing; beautiful, comfortable. Daniel took the extra time to make sure our needs were met and questions answered. . It is an historical home that was transformed into a hotel while maintaining the personal touch of a home. Our room was spacious, with every amenity. Daniel made us feel very special and made recommendations for where to go for dinner that fit us exactly right. The excellent Breakfast was prepared for our early departure. When we left it felt more like saying goodbye to a friend then hotel staff.

Salamina, Caldas is an incredible town which was founded over 190 years ago. It is of cultural interest and belongs to the network Pueblo Patrimonio of Colombia. It is one of the most beautiful municipalities of the country and is part of the cultural landscape (Unesco 2012). Surrounded by majestic mountains and beautiful architecture, rich in biodiversity and tradition. Bienvenidos.
The first moment I stepped into the Casa Carola, the carefully preserved house captivated me. The antiques were so elegantly displayed and the inner courtyard was full of sunshine and beautiful gardens. But most of all, the quiet was what made me want to stay here. Maybe it was all the old wood, or the feeling of being transported to a simpler time, but a feeling of calm permeated the whole place. I spent as much time as I could reading in the courtyard, in between exploring the lovely town and touring the countryside. Felipe, the host, was wonderful, and took us on an unforgettable tour of the town of San Felix and the towering wax palms. We chose to eat breakfast as well as dinner at Casa Carola and were not disappointed! The chef on staff, Rachel, made some of the best food we had during our trip, and Felipe is an amazing cook himself. We also found an amazing little cafe on the main square called "Fruty Caffe." The owners were beyond friendly and even arranged for us to visit their coffee finca just outside of town. Wonderful coffee and people! Just ask for Pedro, but most likely he will have already introduced himself before you even have to ask. Salamina, Casa Carola, and all of the people we met there were highlights of our trip to Colombia. Go!
