Puerto Morelos, a peaceful village on the Mayan Riviera, is a place to experience the genuine Yucatan. Puerto Morelos makes an excellent base if you’re looking for someplace quieter than glitzy hotspots like Cancun and Playa del Carmen. Government eco-reserve designations protect the reef and mangroves—and the village itself—from development. Outdoor options range from thrilling jungle and diving adventures to serene bike rides or moped explorations.

Casa del Puerto is small Boutique Hotel on the beach, 5 km apart from Puerto Morelos City Center. It has a private beach, an outdoor pool with sun beds, a restaurante, a roof top bar and a game room. All 14 rooms are 60 m2, with a big terrace and hammocks and ocean view. All the property is accesible on wheel chair, even the pool. All rates include wifi and breakfast.
This was our 2nd time staying at this lovely boutique hotel. We still love it. Can’t beat the views. Right on the beach. And we love it’s small size and how quiet the area is. But a few small things have changed with the new owners. We missed the bikes and coffee pot in our room. And it would be nice if the glass on the patios were cleaned every couple of days. We couldn’t really see through them. Small things that make a difference. Be sure to have a rental car if you stay here. There is a little restaurant at the hotel but the restaurants in puerto Morelos are so good that you don’t want to miss out.

What an amazing place, it's like a little piece of paradise in paradise. Nothing is very far away in this laid back beach community. There is usually some sort of entertainment in the square on Friday and Saturday also beaches, fishing and excellent food. Many of the restaurants offer gluten free options and the restaurant at Layla is gluten free and vegan. Loved our stay and we will definitely return.

Lovely place with two very friendly and welcoming hostess. It was very clean. I would have given a higher rating but for there being no hot water and an air conditioner that didn’t work which I had to pay more for.

Located in Punta Brave Puerto Morelos. Very secluded with solar energy for guest comfort. Five very clean rooms with individual bathrooms and a shared kitchen. Restaurants and night life in Puerto Morelos is 2 km from property. A refrigerator available for guests in kitchen for ice, drinks or food storage. Bring your fishing rod or use one of ours to fish your meal.
We booked Casa Kayab on a whim, after needing to leave another hotel early. To say its off the beaten path is an understatement, but in the best way possible. You will need a car (whether your own, or a taxi). The private road is paved until the last 1-2 km, which is unpaved and bumpy. Watch the bottom of your car, luckily we had full coverage on our rental. Casa Kayab is a set of two, two-story buildings holding no more than 6 rooms in total. The rooms are extremely basic, but if you're looking for peace and quiet, you are going to find it here. There are hammocks, fire pits and friendly cats/dogs. You can't hear anything but the ocean rolling in and out. The property has a communal kitchen, a fridge/bins where you can store food, a stove, filtered water and a communal bin. We didn't look to deeply when we booked, so we had to drive back into town for dinner. But the property recycles and composts. We arrived late in the day, had to leave for dinner and had to leave early the next morning for an activity. So we didn't really get to enjoy all of the peacefulness that Casa Kayab had to offer. However, when we come back to Cancun/Puerto Morelos, we will be staying here again.

Finding an ideal small hotel in Puerto Morelos does not have to be difficult. Welcome to Hotel Caracol Puerto, a nice option for travelers like you. The rooms offer a flat screen TV and air conditioning, and getting online is possible, as free wifi is available, allowing you to rest and refresh with ease. Hotel Caracol Puerto features a 24 hour front desk. While staying at Hotel Caracol Puerto, if you are feeling hungry, you can find Chicken Itza BBQ (1.0 mi) a short walk from the small hotel. Hotel Caracol Puerto looks forward to welcoming you on your visit to Puerto Morelos.
Really awful place to stay. Not worth a dime. Actual place is worse than the photos. Don't stay here unless you are on a very strict budget. Staff was very friendly, but the place is really awful and not that close to the beach.

ON Booking.com, you will see various amenities shown such as a safe, a balcony, microwave, cooking area. NONE of these actually exist. I booked and expected what I paid for. Upon checking out after my one night say, I contacted Booking.com. You see, there is no front desk staff and the key has to be left with the adjoining restaurant . The hotel also has dangerous stairs with no railings( no elevator), numerous street dogs living streetside which bark at every passing vehicle all night long, and difficult to find due to lack of signage. Despite Booking.com and the hotel agreeing to refund my charge after I sent my banking info( they refused to credit my credit card), I received not a penny of a refund. The stay was in Jan. and each time I call, I am told that the matter is under review. I would discourage anyone to book even one night's stay at Puerto Corch Hotel. I would also beware of Booking.com and their sketchy business practices. I stay 100+ nights per year travelling and this is among the worst experience in the area of deceptive advertising.
