Polak hotel, Ondo
Reviewed By olukemilawaniIn recent times the ancient town of Ondo has seen quite some activity thanks to improved accessibility and the opening of the ultra modern trauma centre. Polak is acceptably the first and only of its kind in Ondo state. But it fails to measure up to the standard of hotels of that class located in other places, Lagos for instance. It does have a conference room where a decent presentation to say fifty people may hold. It's got a large reception room downstairs adaptable to many ocassions, social or formal. And a Gym. There is no swimming pool. I admit they were going through a difficult time my second stay there and would make allowances for that. Service delivery could generally be better.

Reviewed By OyesolaThis is a mid range hotel. It's quite a distance from the centre of the town. If you are mobile, you shouldn't have s problem with that. It's a quiet hotel, mid range. Rooms start from 10000 naira. Rooms are well furnished, water heater and air conditioning working fine. I would suggest the hotel gets WiFi for customers as there is no network at their locations. The only Telco that works there is Glo and MTN. You can't make calls or receive calls on any other network except you step out of your room. The restaurant is functional, they have s bar too. All in all a good stay for the price we paid.

Offering a restaurant, J-A Luxury Suites by EcoSignature is located in Ile Oluji. Each room here will provide you with a TV, air conditioning and a minibar. There is also an electric kettle. Private bathroom also comes with free toiletries. You can enjoy city view from the room. At J-A Luxury Suites by EcoSignature you will find a 24-hour front desk, a terrace and a bar.

Reviewed By Jumoke AMade reservations at this hotel with a significant number of family and it was a complete disappointment. The pictures are not fully representative of the conditions we met in the rooms. Here's what to expect if you are contemplating making a reservation here; Amenities- There were several things that are basic amenities that were not available or if available, were made available on very sporadic basis (no running water; rationed electricity = no air-conditioning). The advertised pool and gym are non existing. Not a single mirror in the room (you're limited to the bathroom mirror). The "mini bar" - the fridge and freezer work great when there's power, however there are no items stocked (not even a bottle of water). The TV, you only have a choice of 2 channels. Oh! Forget it if you have an elderly guest or someone who needs assistance with moving around as there are no elevators (three floors with all the "luxury suites" on the 3rd floor), and no provision for shower rails. Parking space was ok. Cleanliness- The rooms were stuffy and dusty like there was no maintenance; the the beddings were highly questionable with visible stains on the sheets and comforter; bathroom sink and floor were dirty (had a gecko in the bathroom on the 1st night); and the hallways were always filled with a variation of living and dead bugs. Value for your money- services and amenities don't match up at all to the price charged especially for the so called "luxury and high-end suites". Services- No house keeping (sheets were never changed throughout the duration of my stay, and no restocking of toiletries); trash had to be gathered by the guest and placed outside the door; had to visit the front desk multiple times to appeal for services/amenities to be provided. Staff- for the most part are friendly and courteous. Overall, the vicinity is quiet and the rooms are spacious, but if you intend on staying here, you will work for your money (instead of your money working for you). I personally would not recommend a stay here, unless things change (improved maintenance, cleanliness, and basic amenties at the very least).

The Hotel is a 20 minutes drive distance from Akure local Airport.
