The entire property is SUPER clean and well-manicured (the cleanest hotel or B&B I've ever stayed in), Anthony is very attentive and accommodating, and you CANNOT BEAT the stunning views and serenity of the property. Minibar is restocked everyday, fresh towels are provided daily, and the full-spread breakfast is awesome. I have zero idea how this B&B is #2 in Obernai...should easily be #1. 11 out of 10.

Reviewed By GeorgeHoogvlietThe rooms are opposite the hotel. They are very luxurous. A nice flatsceern tv, coffee and tea facilities in the room and a perfect wifi. Althoug the room was on the street side there was no extra noise from outside. The room was very spacious. The village is lovely and it is worthwhile to make some trips in the surroundings. For example Stassbourg is a lovely place to go as well as Colmar.

Reviewed By ann19612016I invested several phone-calls (speaking French fluently) and several mails - - through their website and to a mail adres that I discovered after a good search on the internet, still till today (after 4 weeks of efforts) no confirmation received for wanting to book 2 rooms of 3 nights months ahead. The feeling they gave to me on the phone is that they felt annoyed that I interrupted their daily job (serving customers maybe???) that their internal communication was non existing (quote: this should be done by my chef - she is not here and is not taking it serious.. - unquote) and they are especially non-transparent as to the rooms they have " in mind" for you. So enjoy your stay in Obernai at 1 of the many other accommodations/ restaurants.

Reviewed By GMattJRecommended hotel with their own restaurant. Room was big and with the necessary facilities. Quiet even though right in the heart of the city. The food was great too. Easy access and free communal parking nearby. Excellent prices for the location and during the Christmas period.

Charming Bed and Breakfast
Reviewed By DianeElizabeth_11My husband and I traveling with another couple booked two rooms in chez Mado. The rooms are basic but adequate and clean. The location is charming set on the outskirts of Ottrott, France near the wine route. Our hosts were gracious. The minor drawback is that they do not speak english but this turned out to be a lot of fun for us trying to communicate with my rusty french and the few words in english that they knew. The breakfast is typical - fresh breads, juice and lots of coffee but the jams -- they were amazing. Madame Maurer makes them herself and they were wonderful. For the price, especially in the region, this was perfect for us.
