Home to both the midnight sun (with constant daylight from April to July) and the northern lights, North Norway is a rugged land of steep mountains, deep fjords and scenic coastline, making it a great place for outdoor adventures like dog sledding, snowmobiling and wildlife safaris. It's also the ancient home of the Sami people, 3,000 of whom live (along with 100,000 reindeer) at Kautokeino, Norway's largest municipality at over 3,700 square miles.

Nusfjord Arctic Resort is situated in the secluded and tranquil fishing village of Nusfjord in Lofoten, Norway. As you pass the spectacular mountains passes of Flakstad, breathe in the salty winds of the northern sea, and prepare for immersing yourself in a truly authentic experience of the Lofoten islands.
This is a truly great place to visit, and a must when at these parts of Norway. The room standard (Junior suite rorbu) was excellent and of high standard. We had dinner at the Karoline restaurant, and had superb service from the waiter (originally from Belgium) in all possible ways for the food and drinks. The only reason why we could now give the highest score is that although the staff was correct in their behavoir at arrival and breakfast, they were not really friendly (with one huge exception) Maybe improved service training would help?? A short «Have a nice day» should not be too difficult…

The building is really amazing, not so easy to find, maybe a sign will help. The staff was a little rude and not so kind but neither aggressive or unpolite. The room was very very well furnished, even with the smallest sink I've ever seen, it reveals a maniac care of details. Very good experience even if the staff was not present the morning we leave.

The hotel is outside Henningsvær in the only road that arrive at the village at 5 minutes walk, just before the last bridge at alternate one-way. The rooms aren't big but neither little but with an amazing view on the sea. Really good breakfast and kind staff.

Senja Fjordhotell has an idyllic location in Frovåghamn at the southern tip of the beautiful island of Senja in Northern Norway. This is the perfect place to relax in peaceful surroundings and enjoy the nature on wonderful excursions in the surrounding area, on the land as well as at sea.
Staff were very friendly - Thomas, Helde and Johanna made us felt like home. They were very knowledgeable and caring. The view from the room on each side were great. The breakfast were buffet style with good quality and value for money. We had fish for dinners twice and they were great as well. We stayed in a triple room. The room was modern, clean and spacious. The shower was hot with good water pressure. There are enough sockets in the room. There were beautiful scenic places with a short drive from the hotel. Finding a spot within walking distance from the hotel to take picture of aurora without much light contamination could be challenging though. The heating of the room felt like it’s centrally controlled and with the hard linen duvet sometimes I felt cold at night. We enjoyed our stay in the hotel a lot, and we would love to come back some time in the future.

For you english speaking people, try the raindeer beef or chicken salat. For dessert The Nemesis or chocolate fondant

Situated in the heart of the arctic, the mountain lodge exhibits a deep-rooted connection to Norwegian farming and cabin culture. On average, Norwegians spend 60 days a year in cabins. This is a part of their cultural heritage. In earlier times the farmers brought their livestock into the mountains on pasture during the summer, and while herding the cows and sheep they lived in small cabins. At the mountain lodge they lived by the food they made, the berries they gathered, and whatever the nature offered them. At Bjørnfjell Mountain Lodge we want to give you the opportunity to take part in this Norwegian cabin culture. Stay comfortable inside our cozy cabins or in a room in the main lodge while enjoying the surrounding nature.
Great location. Lovely cabin, cosy fireplace, good space and comfortable beds. Also has outdoor seating. Meals can be served in the restaurant or the cabin. We had ours in the cabin and it was so nice and relaxed for the family. Staff were very friendly and gave excellent service. We did sledging and had did the bonfire night experience. Both excellent. Was wishing we had skied too as the slope was right next to the cabin. Saw the northern lights. Cute sheep to feed and pet.

The photos on the web site are lying. The rooms are old and worn out. Bad beds, very warm room and impossible to open the window properly. Very expensive for this quality. Choose another hotel. Not recommended at all.
