A stylish, welcoming bed & breakfast (chambres d'hotes) in a renovated 18th-century 'hotel particulier' within the ancient walls of Montreuil-Sur-Mer, France. Supper available on request.
A return trip to this delightful 18th century town house. On previous occasions we have stayed in the Pasteur room which is very comfortable and quiet. This time we had the Sarazin suite - a beautiful loft space with lots of the eclectic style of Maison76 that we have come to expect - soft grey and white paintwork to complement the antiques and art work. The suite has a dressing room, bedroom/sitting area and a bathroom with a massive tin bath as well as a modern shower. It overlooks the garden and is reached by a back staircase through the kitchen - so very private and quiet but would not be suitable if you have mobility issues. This is our first summer visit having enjoyed several winter breaks here. It was great to be able to enjoy the charming enclosed garden for a glass of wine before we set out for dinner. In less clement weather there is an elegant drawing room for the guests - I love the chairs upholstered with Tintin fabric. The welcome has always been really warm here. Tim has an encyclopaedic knowledge of the area and loves his food and wine - he is very happy to both recommend and book local restaurants for your stay. His advice is sound, so take it. There is no on site parking but plenty of free on street parking in the surrounding side streets - we have never had a problem getting a space within 5 minutes of the front door. Montreuil sur Mer is a real gem - a walled town with a lot of charm. Do take a stroll around the ramparts for views of the surrounding countryside and a birds eye view of the jumble of roofs in town. Better still it is not just a tourist town but is a real town where people live and work with a lively market at the weekend. It is graced with a lot of good restaurants across a range of prices. The local countryside has many beautiful bucolic river valleys to explore and the local tourist board can provide walking routes to help you on your way. The coastal towns (some 20-30 mins away) are well worth a visit. We have just had a 6 day break and found lots to do and enjoy. Overall this is a great find - beautiful house, comfortable accommodation and a delightful host. Highly recommended.

Le clos des Cedres offers four types of rooms: double room, twin room, triple room, family room. Private parking is available for your vehicle. A restaurant and a south facing terrace for pleasant moment with family, friends or lovers ...
Good clean hotel with restaurant. very useful for a quiet night but quite close to to main routes for traveling south from eurotunnel. Have stopped here before and would use again. Not much English spoken but that is our problem.

While we have been in the area countless times only stumbled on it recently, it is a lovely complex of rooms suites and apartments. A good pool and nice garden area and only yds/Ms away from one of our favourite restaurants, the Blanc Nez. On arrival I was told our room was on the second floor but on finding out about my medical condition the host immediately changed us to a ground floor studio at no extra tra cost. The hosts have been there for 25 years and obviously do everything they can for their guests, all with a smile . Highly recommended and we'll be back

All rooms are equipped with bathrobes and slippers, complimentary toiletries, WIFI, TV and hospitality tray. Garden open access. From home, easy walking distance to the city center and many restaurants. Places of leisure and sporting activities are nearby. We can put bikes available on request.
A very welcoming old house of typical northern France architecture. Isabelle is very hospitable and we had a lovely spacious room overlooking the garden at the rear. We had a comfortable, large bed and slept very well. Breakfast was a tremendous spread of bread, croissants, cheese jam and other things. Specially good was the fresh orange juice. The pity was we could only stay one night.

Nice large bedrooms in family house in the center of Boulogne sur mer. Located in the city center and really close to the old town, you are perfectly located to visit Nausicaa and the Cote d'Opale. You will enjoy the outside of the house with a large garden. 4 rooms are equipped with spa-bath, and you can have a rest in our outside jaccuzzi (35°C). During spring and summer, a free shuttle is available on place Dalton (100 meters from our building) to go to Nausicaa.
This is a good choice as a B&B, with expert hosts. The position is very good, in the Middle between the old city and the promenade. Car parking is possible nearby as a paid service. The rooms are quite old style while the bathroom has been updated. The cost is even higher than in a ****hotel, which should not be the case.

Very close to the Golf, in a recently built top-quality Canadian style house, four very large rooms, with king size beds, private bathrooms ( with bath, shower,w.C)Flat screen television, wifi free access. For the breakfast, the owners propose you home-made confiture and a very attractive French breakfast. In the summer you have the possibility to use the heated outside pool.
I had read great reviews about this house and it mostly reached expectations. It was well tucked away and we were thankful for the Sat. Nav. In a lovely quiet residential area backing onto a forest. I would not normally stay in a guest house, but this one seemed to have it all. The rooms were fantastic, so large and the bathrooms were massive and all modern and lovely and clean. The view to the back over the gardens and forest was very restful and how many guest houses have a pool? I was willing to try this one, and it is heated but we did not have the chance. Lovely touches in the rooms with beautiful china and lots of coffee/tea options. They have a cat and a dog and they do notify people beforehand about this. I read about fantastic breakfasts but I was disappointed with the continental only option although it was good. We would have killed for something cooked! I also mention this but it may seem petty to some, but if you do not like to share your breakfast at the same table with others, then perhaps you should give this a miss. Otherwise, I can see the appeal. The hosts were helpful.

This is a great little hotel just out of the city centre with private parking. The room was modern, clean, airy and had all we needed - apart from a safe! We arrived early (very early!) but the owner dropped everything and came from his home to let us in so we could unpack - we were very grateful, and it shows his commitment. There's not a lot to see or do in Arras, but most of it is a short walk from the hotel.

We popped over to France for the night, chose Dunkirk as a new place to visit, stayed at Hotel Merveilleux which is right on the beach front. A super hotel, newly developed. Very nice bedrooms, extremely helpful staff. They have a nice bar an offer an excellent breakfast. They have limited car parking which is very useful.

We needed to stay one night in Calais at a reasonable price. This hotel fits the bill. We used Google Maps to guide us to the hotel from the ferry. Plenty of parking. Fences round the grounds plus a gate that is closed at night- you get a code. Went to reception and were checked in. Very friendly man on reception- and he speaks English. Our room was on the ground floor. As others have remarked it is compact. It is not a room for an extended stay but for a good night's rest it fits the bill. Free WiFI, tea/ coffee, bathroom with a small bath and a TV that did not seem to have any English channels on it. Importantly: comfy beds. We went to the Poivre Rouge restaurant next door for an excellent evening meal from the English menu. Excellent night's sleep. Sockets next to the headboard so using our adaptors we could charge up our phones. We had a continental breakfast there the next morning for 8 Euros before checking out and heading to the Auchon Hypermarket nearby. That has a number of places to eat and drink So a convenient hotel which we would use again.
