Bruno, an Italian from Rome, and Judite, a Mozambican from Maputo, moved to Mozambique Island (Ilha de Moçambique) in 2010 and started rebuilding and restructuring some old walls and rooms aging over 400 years in a property of 1.800 Square metres. All construction is strictly made of coral stones and lime, following the island traditional way. Three of the six suites and rooms planned are now fully functional, including a "Five Stars" breakfast, old style dinners on demand, uncommon homemade delicious ice creams and aloe jams. Judite's decoration is a fine mix of old and modern styles, mainly composed with restored local furniture pieces adorned by unique and unusual ornaments. Table service is very complete and old fashion in style. Historical and cultural chats are the common features made around the eating table. One huge Indian Almond Tree protects the house from the sun and allows having the meals on the main terrace. Sea breeze is always keeping the setting fresher than any surrounding areas. The B&B locates in the middle of the island, so that all attraction sites are within 5-10 minute walk. From the roof terrace, you can see the whole island at 360 degrees and assist to astonishing sun settings… maybe while refreshing with an ice cream or a sorbet. Nearby are situated also the main restaurants. The owners sit, eat and make conversation with the guests, whenever possible.
