The last of the five villages along the Cinque Terre strip, Monterosso al Mare is the most visited, largely because it has the only sizable sand beach and the biggest hotels. Though it can get very crowded with tourists during the peak summer months, Monterosso is still delightful. The old town area, separated from the more modern resort area by the Aurora tower, is home to the ruins of a medieval castle and San Francesco church, which houses an important Van Dyck painting of the crucifixion.

In the heart of the historical centre of Monterosso al Mare, in Cinque Terre, only 100 metres from the sea located inside a typical historical building dating from the XIV century you can find the incomparable "Bellambra" first class rooms and vacation apartment.
Excellent location in Monterosso for exploring the Cinque Terres. Well located and close to car parking (if spaces). Nothing to fault with the room: modern, clean. Breakfast in the winebar downstairs. Would certainly recommend to friends

The inn Il Maestrale is a small refuge for those who like beautiful things and accurate, but informal atmosphere. Stefania and Giovanni are the owners and the managers of the XXVIII sec. building, which has been recently restored following modern stardards. The terrace of the inn overlooks the historycal centre main street and the inn is a short step from restaurants and shops. The beach and the ferry boats dock are just 2 minutes away as well as the path n.2 leading to Vernazza. We will do our best to give you a special holiday at the Cinque Terre
We had a week long stay at this exceptional B+B in the heart of the old town of Monterosso.Superb location to all restaurants and bars; and 10 mins from train station and boat port for easy access to the other villages in Cinque Terre. Giovanni was the most amazing host explaining the hike trails and the ways to explore Cinque Terre. He gave recommendations to local restaurants ( L’Ancora Della Tortuga is a must visit )and even persuaded a local bar owner nearby to screen a football match we were keen to see ,along with another couple also staying there. The accommodation itself is extremely comfortable and cleaned daily by the lovely Connie There was lots of choice for breakfast; including fresh fruit salad ,pastries and eggs cooked to your liking.Tea ,coffee ,fresh fruit juices and waters were available to help yourself to all day on the beautiful flower filled terrace. We can’t recommend this marvellous B+ B highly enough! Thankyou Giovanni and Stefania for making our stay so memorable.

We were a couple and a friend, so had the tri-room. Double upstairs (only room for a bed on the mezannine) and single downstairs. We were met by someone (not Cherry) who was very helpful and welcoming, and let us check in early and made us all a coffee. The room was cosy but not cramped. As we were walking all day it was fine. The amenities were great - everything was comfortable, clean, and the decor was modern and accommodating. The bathroom was great, good hot shower. We were sorry to have to check out early to catch a train, therefore missing the breakfast which sounded great, however a ton of lovely fruit fresh croissants and other breakfast goodies were left out for us. We ended up taking most of it with us for a snack later on. There is a small terrace, pretty with bright orange colouring, a lovely suntrap as it was unseasonally cool when we were there. I wish we had made this a 2 night stay instead of just the one. The terrace made the place seem bigger than it was, as it is a lovely space for coffee, breakfast or having an afternoon drink, which we did.

Nestled between the hills and the spectacular sea at Monterosso, the pearl of the Cinque Terre, is “La Villa degli Argentieri”. This Unesco World Heritage site boasts breathtaking views, once discovered and savoured by the likes of Byron and Shelley, Montale and Soldati. This year its crystal clear sea of cobalt and sapphire hues has received the highest recognition from the Legambiente (Environment League) and the Italian Touring Club, being awarded the prestigiuos 'Cinque Vele'.The delectable Villa, first constructed in the 1950s and recently renovated, is situated in an exclusive and peaceful area overlooking the sea, separated only by a picturesque tree lined avenue. There is a select number of rooms (one of which is specifically designed to accomodate disabled people), elegantly furnished with all your home comforts: air conditioning, mini bar, satellite TV, hydro massage shower, safe, hair dryer and electric blinds.Visitors can relax in the lounge bar, where breakfast is served. They can also make use of the magnificent sun terrace wich is equipped with high quality loungers and a shower. In all common areas you can use a wi-fi connection. The sun terrace is the ideal place to sip drinks whilst experiencing the enchanting sunsets unique to the Cinque Terre landascape.A stay at the “Villa degli Argentieri” is synonymous with elegance, class, tranquillity and an experience … never to be forgotten.
This hotel has a perfect location. It is a short, flat walk from the train station and just past the very busy area of the sea side. This is a very small boutique hotel with a friendly and helpful staff. The hotel is located in a area of pine forest which provides privacy ftom yhs street but does obstruct the view of the see from some rooms. The roof top is wonderful and a lovely breakfast is served here daily. We had room 11 which gad a large verandah. I would definitely stay here again when in Montoroso. Thus hotel also has a cute beach motif. Really this is the best location in ths sea side area.

Our room was beautiful, comfortable and quiet while still providing quick access to the beach and the main road. Better yet it was very close to an amazing bakery, wine store and wonderful cafes. Benedetta was incredibly responsive to us! We were weary travelers and she was very warm and patient! She provided everything from refreshments to a beach bag with towels to information about events. There are stairs upon arrival which is fairly common in Cinque Terre: the oasis here is well worth the short climb!! Thank you for an amazing stay.

Maybe our expectations were set to high or this is just a bit too much for seniors. In any case, the hostess is just lovely and helpful. We had a small apartment in the rear of the building with no view - we expected a terrace view with chairs. There was a small terrace which was nice but no view and apparently a place to store all kinds of stuff. We only needed one bedroom but there were two and one was a bedroom with bunk beds which did us no good. There was a tiny dining set with two straight back chairs but no place to sit and relax and read except on the terrace or the bed. A little sitting area instead of bunk beds would have been nice and maybe in other rooms let this was possible but not ours. The biggest issue was the steps - hundreds to go up and down to dine or shop or walk. So we made the best of it but were disappointed overall. I suspect one of the other rooms might have been more to our liking. Anyway, glad we went but would find a different place to lodge.

Rooms for rent lies in Monterosso Al Mare, in the hearth of the 5 Terre National Park.
It was amazing.. the host was so friendly, cooperative, flexible and helpful with instructions and information. The room was super clean, well equipped and comfortable. Extra towels and covers were available. The location was just perfect, in the heart of the city center and couple steps steps away from the beach. We had an amazing time and we will definitely come back!

Even if it's been a while since I stayed there, I keep comparing all the Hotels I'm staying at to this one. Excellent service, fantastic views and superb breakfast! My road trip around Europe was back in 2014, so you must have done something right to make me remember my stay all these years. Wishing you all the best in these difficult times! Best Regards Kristoffer

The location was pretty good and offered some peace and quiet from the busy town (and train). Quite a climb to get there (especially with luggage) but in return you get some pretty nice views! Breakfast was good. Lovely host at the b&b. Cute room!

In a historical building,100 metres far from the sea,3 completely renewed rooms with all mod cons. free wi fi
Just spent a week end int his B&B, the worst host I have ever met in my life. We've been in touch with the host for managing the check in during our way to the village. When we finally arrived there there was nobody waiting for us. She never informed us she was not in the building and we had to wait for her coming from her house to the building. She took so long and when we got in the accommodation, she noticed we were disappointed (even if we told nothing to her in order to avoid meaningless discussions). She started to complain about our grumpy faces and never asked sorry for the delay; she said she cannot wait for us in the building 'cause guests take so long and usually get lost in tiny streets and she has no time to waste for us (her own hosts). Complaining about clientes with other clients is so smart.... I said I was just keeping my silence to complete the check in quickly, but she kept on blaming me and my friend for our disappointment and meanwhile she was using my credit card and getting my money. She was staring at us nervously. I've never seen such a rude and unhelpful host, she doesn't understand that this is her job and she can't have fun all the time. She doesn't care about visitors, she only wants to get money! Rooms are clean but so small, nothing that you can't find somewhere else in 5 lands with better and more friendly tourist policies. I would suggest this place neither to my enemies.
