Rooms are luxurious with modern finishes; clean and fresh with everything you need from a fridge to milk for your coffee. Staff are friendly and helpful and the food is to die for! Highly recommended!

It is located no more than a kilometre away from its sister branch, Scenery Maqalika Guesthouse. Scenery Guest House is founded on the idea that maintaining highest levels of service and standards is essential to keep our guests satisfied. The guest house is located in Maseru East, behind the Setsoto Stadium. This location allows good visibility along with convenient access to business centers, sports and recreation facilities and tourist attractions. It provides beautiful scenery of Main North areas of Maseru.

Reviewed By spinkssoloThe scenery guest house staff were friendly and very helpful including assisting with finding a Sim card and airtime. The hotel is reachable through a tarmac road and very close to the boarder. The room was sparkling clean with working AC, hot water and cable TV. The small fridge became convenient as I had frozen food that needed to be stored in cool temperatures.

The building is designed to provide a homely ambience. Directions -From the South African Border pass the first and second traffic lights, proceed till you pass Basotho Hat building on your left-pass under the bridge - Proceed straight till you join Main South 1 near the main traffic circle - at 3rd traffic light proceed straight until the small circle - proceed straight passing 4 filling stations the last one being excel - From Excel garage about 800 meters , passing 2 gravel junctions on the left - there is a big sign board written "Tribute Guest House Matala" on the left, turn left and drive 100 meters on your right to your destination

Reviewed By ktsoae841815I think generally I had high expectations from this place...we firstly on arrival waited over 10 minutes for the receptionist and when she came she barely greeted she just kept asking is it you who called I ignored her because from a mosotho lady greetings is very important is shows respect eventually I asked her why she's not greetings and she's like oh hello...then the room was just ok nothing fancy the kitchen didn't have teaspoons for tea not enough sugar or milk... breakfast no juice no tea no cutlery dry salad without dressing served with dumpling...the dumpling was delicious though but it's not something I'd pair with English breakfast but rather with a stew...but my car broke down and the receptionist was kind enough to let us use their phone...but a smile on her face would be great despite her unprofessionalism

Reviewed By CharlotteEmiadI’m travelling for2 years, and it was my favorite place. We wanted to stay for only one night at the beginning, finally we extend for 4 nights. Is not far away from Maseru but enough for enjoy the beautiful landscape. Mark and Mary are really amazing ! So nice, helpful and honest They are doing the best for the guests. The room is really good, so clean, and the staff do the most as possible. Everybody take care of you in this place. About the food.... oh my good .... They can do a perfect pizza or pasta like in Italia !!! Amazing for the local food as well. I already miss this food . Of course I will come back on this place one day. For love for lesotho and for this place. Mark organized for us a horse riding with Francis on the mountain ! He was really nice guys. We visiting village, try local honey, spend time with child, run with the horses on the beautiful top of mountain. Everything for a good price. This lodge can be appeciate for all age, backpacker or travelers. Xoxo !!! Charlotte

Reviewed By _kabbyevansMy Cuz booked me in this place when I came to visit the family. I have to say I was very pleased with this. The staff members are truly lovely people. The breakfast was good and there was something new every day never the same. They accommodated me as I wanted because I was traveling around Lesotho and some arrangements had changed. The place is very secure and close to town centre. One thing I did notice was how quiet it was unlike some other places I have stayed in. There was a issue with the hot water, however this was dealt with to my satisfaction. I look forward to coming back from England again. God bless you all keep up the good work and vibes.

Reviewed By xkritz278364The property is very neat and tidy. The staff is very friendly and make you feel welcome. Will definitely stay there again on my next trip to Lesotho. The balcony view is also spectacular and gets the stress away after a long day.

Very poor place.
Reviewed By DivernomadTerrible poor and cold rooms. To spend there a night at winter time its a big challange. There is 1 small heater and electric bed cover but it doesnt help. Cold as hell and the bathroom appears like survival on Siberia. Breakfast eatible, car palce safety and friendly owner. Sorry never be back there.

It took longer for the staff to prepare breakfast, perhaps ask a night before what the clients want to have and at what time so that there is no more time wasted in the morning.

It features 7 family double rooms, 2 sharing toilet and bathroom and 1 en suite with bathroom, 4 with showers. we have a lot of green space with trees and flowers. As owners of this property we stay in a different house but in the same compound to ensure safety of our guests

Reviewed By clemensfehrFamiliäre Atmosphäre in schöner Umgebung, Kristina ist immer hilfsbereit und auch bei nächtlichen Ankünften zur Stelle. Bin bereits Stammgast und fühle mich wohl im schönen Zimmer, komme wieder. Die Zufahrt ist etwas holprig, aber der schön gepflegte Garten lohnt die Anfahrt.
