In Hinduism, Manu was said to have survived a great flood that destroyed the rest of the world. He then recreated mankind in this Kullu Valley town. What a rush, huh? No wonder the towering peaks and verdant terrain of Manali attracts adventure travelers, with heli-skiing, hiking, mountaineering and river rafting the favored active pursuits. Come down from your endorphin high by breathing deeply at the four-story, wooden Hidimba Devi Temple, which sits in the middle of a nearby deciduous forest, or take a medicinal soak in the hot springs burbling from the ground a 30-minute walk from town.

Hotel Mountain Top is a dream destination for celebrating holidays; hotel is located at most scenic point, amidst the musk apple, cherry orchards flanked by century old coniferous forest. Hotel is located at the top and provides you with picturesque top valley view of the entire Manali. Savour your visit with our magnificent hospitality and scenic views.
Well the only positive thing in this hotel is the food and Mr. Negi who sits in the restaurant!! He is extremely polite and helpful. But then apart from that nothing is good here, you struggle to get your rooms upon arrival and are made to wait for 15+ minutes (that too after checking in late and with prior intimation). Of the 3 days of stay you struggle 2 days to get hot water in bathroom, when you ask for a bucket of hot water because geyser is not working make sure you also give them ample logic on why so you want an extra bucket for the hot water else they will take away the only bucket in the bathroom to fetch hot water!! Rooms are okyish, cleanliness is okay!! When you order in room dining be ready to get wrong items delivered. If you want to check out early in the morning be ready to carry your own luggage and make sure if you are travelling by car your car is parked far off from parking else you will spend time to coordinate with the security person (yes there is no 24 hr front desk) and the drivers of respective cars for an hour before being able to get your car out of parking lot!! And all this after they charge 4000+ per room per night with only breakfast included in the package!! Coming to breakfast it will have only puri, poha and bhurji!! When in any given day you want to go to Rohtang Pass and want to start early they assure to pack your breakfast before you leave and then when you open those backed breakfasts you end up getting bread with Jam against promised sandwiches!! Stay only if you get this hotel in the range of 1500-2000 per night breakfast included else definitely not worth giving a shot!!

Highly recommended. Woodstock Inn is one of the best hotel in Manali! I can't even describe how wonderful our experience here was. Everything here was just perfect. Spacious rooms, amazing hospitality, quick service, delicious food and superb location(just 10 minutes walk from Mall Road). Hotel is family friendly, most of the guests here came with their families. Hospitality: It is like 5* hotel in terms of the hospitality. All the staff here is professional. Special mention for Beer Singh, who manages the reception. He will always be smiling and happily ready to help you with everything. The owner Akash is very professional and friendly. If you ask him, he'll help you with tips on places to visit and eat in Manali and nearby. He also makes sure that any issue is taken care of at the earliest. They believe in giving the best experience to their guests. Room service: The room service is super quick. Anything we asked for, it never took them more than 5 minutes to get it to us. Sometimes it took them less than a minute. They have 5* standard room service. Room: The rooms are spacious, clean and hotel was newly renovated last year. It has wooden flooring and good interior done. Rooms also have kettle, tea bags, coffee, milkmaid if you want to make tea/coffee. It'll have clean white spotless linen. Table and sofa for dining. Bathroom: Bathrooms were clean. Newly renovated. 24x7 hot water. Limited toiletries were provided, which included shower gel and handwash. Food: They have in-house restaurant where they serve buffet. You can also order ala carte based on the menu. The food they serve is delicious, much better than a lot of good restaurants. Quality, quantity and taste - everything was just amazing!! The main reason behind this is that the owner himself spends lot of time in kitchen to make sure highest standard and quality is maintained while cooking. They have separate veg & non-veg section in the kitchen. They have in-room dining as well. Location: It is conveniently located at 10 minutes walking distance from Mall Road. Its on the opposite side of the river and little uphill. You'll easily get autos/cab from Mall Road to the hotel. However, getting auto from hotel to mall Road or any other place can be a challenge. You can contact hotel reception and they might be able to manage a cab for you. Overall, a highly recommended hotel. When in Manali, we would definitely stay here again. Thanks Woodstock Inn for the wonderful experience!

Stayed at Hotel Shambhala, which I thought would be another nondescript hotel, but I was in for a pleasant surprise. Had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Mr Sonam Tanzin, who turned out to be a highly respected Thanka artist. He showed us his paintings based on Buddhist literature, which had such minute detailing , it actually leaves one breathless. The museum on the 4th floor of the hotel building which housed the paintings and Buddhist scriptures was treat in itself. The man and his son came across as very humble . The hotel itself is embellished with stories from Buddhist literature, a treat for the eyes. The rooms were big, decently kept and the service good.. Value for money !!! Would recommend it anyone remotely interested in painting or Buddhism !!!

This is the worst hotel, I ever stayed in.. Dirty rooms, no proper room service, they provide you basic things only after asking. Hotel donot have power back up, we have spent approx 2 hours without electricity. Dirty bathroom, bedsheets and blankets and they charge you full amount at the time of check in so you don't left with much of a option. Please don't select this hotel.
