We spent 2 nights here while walking the Fife Coastal Path. Carol and Jim were excellent hosts . Nothing was too much trouble for them . The rooms were comfy, clean and well appointed. Breakfast was very good and we were within easy walking distance of restaurants and pubs and the coastal path. Anne and Jenny

Balhousie Farm B&B is located near Upper Largo in the East Neuk of Fife. It offers the perfect rural retreat for those who want easy access to the great outdoors. Situated on a working farm, Balhousie guarantees fresh air, wide open spaces and wonderful views. The house overlooks the large duckpond where all types of wildlife can be seen if you are lucky.
The farm is away from it all and overlooks the pond, ducks and countryside beyond. To get to this lovely location you do have to drive half a mile up a narrow track. Anne was friendly and welcoming. The rooms spotless. Breakfast was so good, with fresh duck eggs if you fancy. A lovely relaxed atmosphere. The reason it doesn’t get a well deserved 5, for value for money if nothing else, is that the bed was the firmest I have ever attempted to sleep on. We struggled to get a comfortable nights sleep which was such a shame.

Welcome to our Montrave. We hope that you will enjoy your stay in Montrave and on the Estate. Montrave has a rich history and has been in the Gilmour family since the 1860's. Y Montrave House has been through many changes recently, now Nicholas and Airin welcome you to their Bed and Breakfast accommodation set in the heart of Fife. Montrave was completely renovated in 2010 and brought up to modern standards, guest accommodation consists of two double bedrooms; one with en-suite the other with a private bathroom, there is also a single room with its own bathroom. Guests have the use of the living / dining room with its own little kitchen as well as a chance to wander around the 250 acre estate.
Having spent part of my childhood in Leven, I wanted to revisit memories by seeing again places that were once part and parcel of my life. I had the single room and was the only guest, however Airin is such a warm person, I felt really welcome in their home. It was delightful to have breakfast in such a grand room, while looking out at mature trees and being aware I was surrounded by nature. If you need a setting that restores your soul, then Montrave House is the ideal venue.

Arrived at The Cairns with a lovely warm welcome and shown to our beautiful and very clean room with the most stunning view of the beachfront and sea. Our host explained everything clearly and advised us to let him know if there was anything we needed just to ask. He helped us too with the best route to go to a festival we were attending which was greatly appreciated

Situated on the fringe of the Fife coastal town of Leven, this recently built executive establishment is within a short travelling dstance of Kirkcaldy, St. Andrews, Dundee and Edinburgh. Leven has a leisure centre, golf courses, beach and nature trail, and lies on the Fife Coastal Path route. The B & B has 1 double/family room with en suite, and 1 twin room with large family bathroom. There is a large garden where you can relax after a hectic day. Leven is at the start of the East Neuk of Fife and you can drive or take public transport to the little fishing vllages along the coast or to the many tourist attractions in Fife. If you feel enegetic, you can cycle along the recently completed route to Lundin Links, which boasts a link with Lower Largo ( a small harbour village). We ae very convenient for walking the coastal path or shopping in either Kirkcaldy or Glenrothes. Edinburgh and Dundee are a short distance away, so you have plenty of choice. There are ample off-street parking spaces in front of the establishment. We look forward to welcoming you to our home and you can be assured that we will do everything possible to ensure that you enjoy your stay. Please note, we do not accept any pets. Complimentary light refreshments will be available upon your arrival.
I booked the Fantasia B and B through Booking.com. When we arrived we were surprised to see that there were no signs outside indicating that this house on a large housing estate was in fact a B and B. There was no answer when we rung the door bell and knocked at the door. We phoned several times but only got an answer phone. In the end we had to drive around the area at 7.00 at night trying to find alternative accommodation. So beware do not book this B and B.
