Only stayed one night, but thoroughly enjoyed the stay. Contacted the guesthouse via email, and Leila was very prompt to respond and she reserved the rooms for us. Great selection of en-suite rooms with multiple numbers of beds to accommodate families of all sizes. Street parking in front of the house is convenient and safe. The house is beautiful and the rooms are furnished as such. The guestrooms are separate from the main house where brekkie is served. The breakfast room is beautiful and Leila and her team served a wonderful breakfast with so many options. Leila is a wonderful hostess and we certainly appreciate her hospitality.

Situated at the medina of El KEF, Dar Boumakhlouf, a jewel with a moorish architecture and warm hospitality welcomes you. Our house blends into the most famous and visited sites.Just open the door to start the discovery.
We stayed overnight with our children. We elected to have supper their, and we ended up having our best meal of our entire visit in Tunisia. The entire house is gorgeous, and I was able to get many good pictures from the roof. The rooms were very comfortable while keeping their local flavour and charm. I would absolutely stay here again.

What a beautiful hotel! I had an absolutely amazing experience! The staff was very friendly and very professional. The hotel is on the main road in a very nice neighbourhood, very safe, I took long walks after dark. Their are some nice restaurants and coffee shops around. (The Wall was my favourite, some very good coffee!) The room was spacious and very clean and very comfortable. It was also serviced which was a real luxury to come back to fresh towels and a made bed. I didn’t realise when I booked that the room included breakfast, especially during Ramadan it was great to have coffee and something to eat at the start of my day. Extremely good value for money!

This little boutique hotel is a gem, as is the owner, Raoudha. The decor is charming, Raoudha is an incomparable hostess and an incredible cook. She is more than willing to show her guests around Le Kef, which has a wonderful citadel, and is near the wonderful Roman city of Dougga.
We spent two nights here whilst visiting sites in the local area arriving in the early evening. Luckily we had a driver and guide as I don’t think we could have found the farmhouse by ourselves, being at the very end of a long, bumpy and dusty track. The room we had, which was on the ground floor, was clean and pleasant and the bed was comfortable, the bathroom however was in need of an update and the shower curtain in the bath didn’t keep all the water in. The air-con in the bedroom was dated and noisy but luckily we were able to sleep without it on. The evening meal and breakfast is cooked by the owner Mrs Chennoufi and was really excellent and there was plenty of it. Be aware wine and bottled water with the evening meal is chargeable. The lounge area was very nice with lots of big comfortable seats, there is wifi available but the signal isn’t that strong, but it was sufficient to check emails etc. There is also a swimming pool but we didn’t have time to use it.

I was astonished to learn that the hotel had a four-star rating once. This is no longer the case. The rooms are decrepit and filthy, there is no reception, no restaurant, no service. The only positive thing was the meeting room that was correct and air conditioned. Avoid.
