Mymering is a 4 star wine and guest estate situated on a working wine and grape farm. All accommodation is air-conditioned with private pool decks. Rates include a hearty breakfast with a 3 course dinner on request. Enjoy our Hillock boutique wines in the evening and during the day take a walk through the vineyards to taste our different varieties of export table grapes.
Having stayed here 4 years ago and loved it, we were eager to return. It was however not the same as we remembered it. Our room was clean but the sliding door latches were mostly broken or not functional, the bedside light had no plug adapter so not usable, the brown water dribbled from the bath tap (this was rectified once I brought the issue to management’s attention), there was clearly a water leak in the corner of the ceiling and the room just looked like it needed a bit of maintenance. We could overlook all of it but the way the owners wife treated our waitress over dinner, in front of us, was totally unacceptable. The poor sweet girl was almost in tears. She has opened the door next to us, at our request as there was a large party going on in the small dining area, nobody wearing masks and no fresh air. Without asking or calling the waitress aside she harshly reprimanded her in front of us. When I intervened and said that I had requested the open door, I was ignored as she continued to lambaste the poor girl. It left a very bad taste and we will not be inclined to return.

This totally renovated Victorian styled house is the epitome of grandeur with stylish, luxury rooms, safe parking on site, a splash pool, library, aircon and hair dryers in all bedrooms, full DSTV in the lounge, a splendid view on the Swartberge and Towerkop with an outside deck and braai. A “home away from home” offering a perfect and restful haven blended with typical Karoo hospitality.
Stunning guesthouse. Clean and lovely. Rooms big and spacious. Bathrooms clean and has shower and lovely slipper bath. Gardens are well kept and stunning. Balcony on top floor has lovely view over mountains. Had lovely braai with chops and salad. Breakfast was yummy.

The host was excellent made us feel so welcome. He even recommended places to see. As its winter a fire was lit. Extra amenities like an outside bar fridge was available for our drinks that we had purchased. Could bring your own liquor in. What a superb chef! Location was great and in walking distances to shops.Thank you

We were a group of 7 cyclists and took over the place. It was beautifully decorated and the owner looked after us very well. Helping with shopping, washing and a fabulous Braai. Staff were lovely and you couldn’t ask for more.

We spent two most enjoyable nights with Rosa at her lovely guesthouse. Our room was lovely, with pretty décor, a very comfortable bed with fine linen, a great shower and thoughtfully appointed. Most enjoyable of all were the evenings spent chatting with Rosa on her agterstoep, and the fantastic vegan meals Rosa provided for us. THANK YOU!!

5 Suites in a beautiful feather palace in centre of Karoo Town, Ladismith all in walking distance. Self catering units
Beautiful old house but with a sad neglected feel. The room was clean and breakfast was good, if average and cost extra as it’s not included in the accommodation price. The pool was horribly dirty, couldn’t even see the bottom and had broken, rusted metal pipes bolted to the side going into the water. No wifi in the bedrooms, apparently the walls are too thick, only in the passage outside. Loadshedding was blamed for the fact that the motor gate could be pushed open and closed, so parking is in the garden but not secure. No hot water in the morning in our bathroom and loadshedding couldn’t be blamed as there wasn’t even a trickle of water coming out the tap, strong flow of cold water though. Overall impression is that it is worth staying but at half the price.

What a jewel. Best view, best accommodation, full marks, can't find anything wrong, more than expected... Well done Liza and Riaan you can be very proud of this establishment... situated on a working grape farm.
