One of the best
Reviewed By KVS_80I think this is one of the best in lachen. The staff is very cordial and do their best in such challenging conditions. Food is good too and they provide packed breakfast for early morning gurudongmar lake visit. Room heaters and bed warmer are a real blessing. Of course they don't work of there is a paper cut which is understandable. There is quite a bit of climbing to your rooms and certainly not suited for elderly or someone who has issues with climbing. We loved our stay here.

Gurudongmar Lake can be reached from Lachen, a sacred lake in the Great Himalayas Region.

Reviewed By reluc_traveller1Very shabby place. No cleanliness at all. It should not be called a hotel. More like a Dharamshala. Staff was polite though. Food was okayish. Would not recommend anyone to stay here. There is nothing "grand" about it.

Reviewed By 123guddiThere is no proper lounge for the guest. The washrooms are not properly maintained There were leakages in a few washrooms. There is no room service My room was on the first floor and I had to go down for a cup of tea at 5.00 in the morning. I was told by the person in charge to go down myself to have a cup of tea. I had booked a super Delux room but was alloted a normal room. The rate of the room was expensive as compared to the facilities provided in the hotel. There is no wardrobe in the room to keep the clothes inside

Reviewed By Shirish SHotel was reffered as deluxe but it has just basic staying facility. It is sub-standard. The services were poor. Staff was friendly but totally non professional. dining area was pathetic food was just basic. Think twice before you book this hotel.

Reviewed By anindo60The hotel does not follow COVID Protocol. It is not hygenic.The linen and blankets were not clean. There was no power till late evening. Dinner was average. The only saving grace was that breakfast was provided by 6AM to enable us to leave early. This hotel is not recommended.

Hotel not upto the mark
Reviewed By RishilRangdaleWe stayed here couple of days ago. The room was ok sort of with no intercom/telephone. Our room was almost on top floor and the steps are too high, it almost like climbing. If you need something as room service etc, you will have to do this climbing exercise, which inconvenient especially when you are staying with your family. Apart from this, there was a power failure and there was no battery/genset backup. We had to visit Gurudongmar, and had to leave around 4:00 am. Due to power failure the geaser was not working, and temperature was 0 degree. Just imagine the situation... we dressed ourself in the dark. Very poorly managed.

Its not a hotel by any means!
Reviewed By Huzefa BDelight Fortuna can't be termed as a hotel. Considering the cold weather of Lachen, this place doesn't have any arrangements to take care of your requirements. The hotel rooms are dank cold which are very very uncomfortable in my opinion. The food served is decent but the lunch room is not at all comfortable by any standards. There's no concept of room service here though the staff is courteous enough. Lastly, the access to the hotel (so called!) is also difficult compared to other options. If you're looking for a stay in Lachen and you have small or young kids with you, I won't recommend this place by any means. No great Vibes here or great memories can be had at this place.
