Kuching is a fine choice for an enriching vacation that's as packed with learning as it is leisure. Its many museums and impressive planetarium will enthrall even the tiniest travelers, and a quick climb to the top of the Kuching Civic Center will reward you with jaw-dropping 360-degree views. Grab a snack from a stall on the bustling waterfront, and don't miss the absolutely massive Sunday market, which is an electric experience for shoppers, vendors, and observers.

I had stayed in this hotel twice in 2019.. The hotel has good location and I would say that the rooms are comfortable, nice & clean.. BUT unfortunately, the staffs are mostly not friendly and sometimes rude.. TOTALLY! May it be the Front Desk, F&B or even Housekeeping.. It seems that the management has failed to provide staffs with enough proper HOSPITALITY training..

Padungan Hotel is located in the heart of city center. It's only 8 Kilometers or 16 minutes from Kuching International Airport.
the padungan hotel is a small modern place located on padungan street , close to some chinese cafes and the very convenient ' everrise ' supermarket and within easy walking distance to the waterfront . it is a very ' functional ' place - by that i mean that it has zero decoration anywhere , all the walls are white and unadorned , it could fit anywhere in the world but then again it ' s modern and convenient . i had a double room on the 4 floor ( they have an elevator ) , it was spacious and airy with a window to the street . A.C. worked well as well as the wifi . the television had very few channels in english - i would just tune in to the music channel .... they provide a hair dryer and a kettle but no coffee or tea ( a little fridge would have been the icing on the cake but no such luck ) , shower was great too , super hot & powerful ! they will clean the room daily if you so desire . the front desk staff spoke good english and was super friendly and accommodating so i ' d said if you are travelling on a budget and are looking for a bit of comfort this could be a good address for you , certainly worked out great for me !

Quite comfortable, clean and easy access to the nearest shop. Just nice for someone with a tight budget but still want a comfortable place to stay. The staff is friendly and helpful. If you are with family, I would like to recommend you can find another hotel better than this. If you travel solo, this hotel might be good.

Stayed here for 2 nights. All are good except the pillows. The rooms overlooking the river are awesome. Awesome view to watch the sunset & sunrise from the rooftop. Foods were average. As with other hotels struggling from the devastating effect of covid & now making recovery, there were plenty of maintenance jobs to be done to the property.

What makes HomeStay Hotel Kuching special is that it is a budget hotel that has the astonishing facility of Air-conditioning, Hot Shower, Satellite TV programmes & etc. Furthermore, the hotel is located just 3 minutes away from the city centre offering a view that will have very few parallels in the world. The photo's and reviews must be from another time because, the room was very small, just as small as the 18 inch TV with one channel. The WIFI was excellent. No hot water in the shower and no real water pressure. They advertised restaurant, wasn't open any of the 3 nights I stayed there. I tried to cancel after first night but would not refund. There is no where close to buy food, you must get a taxi. Good luck finding one in this remote area. It's behind a motorcycle sales and very desolate. The bed was harder than a concrete slab. I actually woke up in pain.Brushed my teeth and the sink clogged, so I didn't even bother to shave. Don't bother reporting any of this to the front desk, they don't care because there's nothing they can do about it. And besides, they already have your money. If your looking for a terrible nights sleep and want to stay up all night on the web, this is the place. Don't sacrifice a couple of RM's to lose REMS.

Went here last weekend due to merdeka sales ongoing in kuching,as we were being thrifty..hotels that are rm50 is the one we are looking for, fortunately this fit our bill for 3d2n,imho rm35 per night totalling for rm110 is good for the money..although u have to remember the rooms are small and soundproofing is quite bad, literally if u plan to have sex here just fuhget it..because room nearby got kids around and the other neighbor is gossipping and we can hear it,but everything else is forgivable considering the price is CHEAP and ohyeah good food is all around, dont worry they have 101 foodcourt and siang2 corner

The only thing that i hate from this place was they charge us a bit more because we were a first timer when it wasnt even included in the booking app. I felt i was robbed staying in this cheap lodging. Other than that, my experience with this lodging was great. The room was clean and tidy and the service was good. I complained about a broken door lock and the fixed it right away. Anw, if u will be staying for more than 1 night, ask for a bigger room

This is my first day checking in with my family, and I even had my grandfather that has walking difficulties. First, the lift is damaged. When you consult the housekeeper, she said that she can do nothing and not sure when it could be resolved. Then when we reached the room, the room has no water. When we consult the housekeeper, she said that she is not sure why. And get us to bare with it impolitely (attitude problem) if we wanted to continue the stay. If we do not want, no refund!!! Next I told her that I wanted to request for extra key and she told me that she did not have one. Then when I asked how she could assist me, she told me "ketuk aja pintu tok sampai buka ja.. ini jak saya boleh bagi taw (just knock the door it opens)". I seriously surprise and asked if she thinks appropriate to do so, then she said "iya la.. ini hotel budget ba, bukan hotel mewah.. memang rosak sana sini (yes.. this is a budget hotel no luxurious hotel.. so it is normal to have damage here and there..) One word to sum up is that this hotel is the worst hotel ever!!!
