A social and geographic confluence where East and West, North and South, religious and secular, ancient and modern all converge in kaleidoscopic display, Istanbul is as vibrant an urban destination as you’ll ever visit on earth. Whatever strikes your fancy, chances are it’s done with vigor in this mega city that’s too expansive – and cultured – to settle upon only one continent to call its home.

We were in town on a cruise ship which was overnighting in Istanbul. Four of us were interested in having a good Turkish breakfast. A local recommended the breakfast at this hotel as being a local favorite so we made our way there. The breakfast seating is on the top level of the hotel and overlooks the Galata Tower and the water in the background. We could see our ship at the port below. The service was excellent. And the food choices on the buffet were incredible. We had eggs made to order, veggies, breads, meats, pastries, halva (!), cheeses, and good coffee. The views from our table made our breakfast all the more special. Highly recommend. If we come back to Istanbul, we will stay at this boutique hotel. It’s clean and in a great location.

It was built as a mansion, during the last years of the Ottoman Empire and has recently been renovated as a boutique hotel retaining the original design and look. From Tulip House you can see the sea on one side and a lovely little street with children playing games on the other. There is a nice backyard where you can have your fresh breakfast and evening tea.
My friend, who had come from the US to attend a training that was organized in Istanbul was subjected to verbal and physical violence by the front desk staff because she asked for a receipt. I don't know what's wrong with these people, or the people who recruit them to ''provide services'' but the only service I witnessed was violence. I wouldn't recommend anyone coming here who has a child or care about their own emotional and psychological well-being for that matter, as we are still in shock after what had happened.

??: An ideal hotel for a short stay. Breakfast was good. As a location, it is very close to the Gayrettepe metro station which is good in that respect. But if you consider the price as performance, it is not worth the money you pay. The shampoos were plain liquid soap. I hope things will improve over time.

High quality property in classical new hotel, with all amenities, providing extensive comfort. Jakaranda Hotel is well located in the shopping centers of Taksim Beyoglu and Galata. The hotel is ready to serve you 9 modern designed rooms in modern city Istanbul, just walking distance to Taksim Square.
One of the worst hotels I have ever been to my whole life. This place is very dirty in a very shady area that is full of prost itute and thieves. A minute before arriving to the hotel my phone was STOLEN , so we did not check-in because it was not secure and safe to stay AT ALL. We booked in another hotel, but when we asked them to refund us the money, they refused and said it is a lot of money to return and they won’t give it back ( clearly, they don’t care about their guest ) so I have lost over $ 1000. All these good reviews and pictures that you see are all fake so DO NOT BELIVE IT. If you really care about your family and belongings DO NOT book in this hotel. Advised all your loved ones to stay away
