The landscape is dramatic—even a bit moody, with the Cuillin Range in the background—but outdoorsy kids will have a blast on the Isle of Skye. Plenty of water sports are available, and you’ll also find great hiking and even pony rides. Portree, the largest town, makes a great base for exploring this striking island.

The Skye Inn is a modern, comfortable and friendly inn, located a short walk from Portree Main Square on the Isle of Skye. The perfect place for a relaxing evening before heading out to explore our magical island. We have tasty, traditional meals, and a great selection of Scottish drinks, and a friendly team on hand to help you make the most of your stay.
We recently stayed here during our bus trip to Skye. The room was spotless with a modern bathroom and a very appreciated smart tv. After full days on a bus getting back to our rooms and popping on a movie from our streaming app was so lovely. There’s lot of places to eat in Portree but we chose to eat in the hotel both days because the staff were phenomenal and really made it so welcoming and fun. Andy, Johnny Tessa and Rihanna were just some of the people we had the pleasure to interact with. The food was great and the dinning area/lounge room was lovely and open yet cosy. Thanks again everyone!

Situated at the end of a mile-plus long single-track country lane in the north of Skye, this is an excellent hotel for those who wish to get away from it all. As the name suggests, it is a converted house with large rooms and old-fashioned furniture, but the beds are comfortable and the bathroom has all the usual facilities. Unfortunately there is no lift, but the helpful staff are willing to carry your suitcase to your room. There is a lounge with a real fire and also a snooker room. The restaurant’s menu, whilst not extensive, gives a reasonable choice. The real plus for this hotel is the staff for whom nothing seems to be too much trouble. They are cheerful, friendly and efficient.

A lovely Inn overlooking Broadford Bay in Skye's second biggest village.. WiFi and Parking free of charge. Restaurant serving meals using as much as Hebridean produce as possible. A great place to explore the Isle Of Skye from. Rooms are clean, cosy and comfortable with great views of the sea.
We paid the extra for the sea view and are so glad we did. It was fabulous to just look out to the bay with geese, ducks cormorants etc on the little island opposite. Seeing an otter pop up twice ( briefly) on our second morning was the icing on the cake. The room was massive with a comfy bed and everything immaculately clean. We received a warm welcome and the food was terrific. The pan fried bass on black olive mash was an absolute winner. Breakfast was pretty fabulous too. If we manage to make it back to Skye we’re coming here again!

Welcoming small hotel with a rustic 40 seater restaurant serving locally sourced and freshly prepared produce. Traditional Scottish pub (also dog friendly).
Having spent many years coming here as a local person, it is safe to say that the recent changes to staff leave a lot to be desired. The current bar staff seem to believe that the hotel and bar is run for their convenience. The staff are incredibly rude and lacking in any customer service skill. I understand the hotel has recently changed manager but still....wont be back. Avoid. There are better places on Skye to go.

We stayed at the end of April 2022 for two nights, to coincide with a day-trip to St Kilda. We arrived on a Friday, with plans put in place for St Kilda on the Saturday (meals sorted with the hotel etc based around that). All that changed, with a move to Sunday for St Kilda and everyone we dealt with at the Edinbane Inn practically bent over backwards to accommodate our needs. Running through out stay: Check-in and room: Easy and quick - sorted by Paul on the bar and our room was at the back hotel - spacious, spotlessly clean and well equipped with water, tea, coffee etc. The bed was large and comfortable and the shower was fantastic! Bar: Very good. Well stocked with everything you could want, including local ales and good selection of malt whisky and a wide range of gins. Bar prices are good with, the slight exception of malts - keep the prices as they are and increase to 35ml measures and that'd be better. No major complaints though. Paul, who was on the bar for the majority of our stay, was/is friendly, accommodating and just an all round good guy! Food: We ate in the bar for 2 of our 3 nights. The food was excellent and the waiting staff were relaxed and friendly and kept you well fed and watered, with no need to be chasing staff down for service. Breakfast: A brilliant selection on the menu and everything cooked to order, with no big delays in it arriving. Perfect! Staff: Excellent! I've already mentioned Paul but all others were brilliant and the lady, whose name we didn't get unfortunately, that was present at meals throughout our stay and particularly at breakfasts, was particularly worthy of praise - between her and Paul, they looked after our every need and made sure we had a brilliant weekend on Skye. Would we go back? Too right!!

Stayed here for two nights while on a Heart of Scotland tour. This immaculate B&B is on the edge of the town, approx 20 mins walk from the town centre...uphill or downhill depending on which way you're walking! The room was spacious and spotless, with incredible views over the bay, and kitted out with the usual tea/coffee, toiletries, towels, including flannels which was a nice touch. The mattresses and pillows were very comfortable. Our hostess Margaret was friendly, welcoming and couldn't do enough for us. Breakfast was generous and turned out to perfection. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again on another visit one day.

Had a 3 day stay at Witchwood house. Friendly gent welcomed us at the reception next to the Saucy Mary bar, and walked us along to the house about 50 years along the road. Stayed in room 3 which was clean and very homely, also dog friendly. Comfortable bed and clean bathroom. We had a meal and a few drinks in the Saucy Mary as well as breakfast. Food was good, and the staff were also friendly, Also dog friendly. Would happily book here again. The village was very quiet and made our relaxing break all the more enjoyable.

We were here for 3 days, it's situated as soon as you come off Skye Bridge, it's well sign posted. Big carpark at front, rooms were renovated and they were immaculate, there was a warm airiness to our room, bathroom was showroom quality.

We had booked two rooms well in advance of our visit, then The Pink House cancelled our reservation and a month later we STILL haven't received our refund. They said they couldn't access the records for the credit card payment. We've been unable to reach them by phone. They don't return emails. Totally disgusted.
