South of Garmisch-Partenkirchen on the Austrian border lies Germany's highest mountain, Zugspitze, rising nearly 10,000 feet and offering gorgeous glacier-top skiing. The towns of Garmisch and Partenkirchen used to be separate, but were merged for the 1936 Winter Olympics. With almost 75 miles of downhill runs of all difficulty levels, Zugspitze also has 68 miles of cross-country trails, a terrain park and Germany's first superpipe. It's super cool to say you were skiing in Garmisch, so be sure to spread the word upon your return.

A night amidst outstanding architecture Focus on architecture High quality wooden lodges sporting creative holiday design Focus on wellbeing Pleasant ambience and natural materials in all rooms Focus on taste Eat well in our ‘Tagesbar’ thanks to healthy regional products Focus on motion Move naturally and just get fit in nature Focus on Garmisch The quartier is located right in the heart of Garmisch and its mountains. Focus on switching off An innovative concept to reduce electro smog and digital stress Holiday lodges of simple strong architecture with loft-like north south facing floorplans. Made entirely of natural wood. High ceilings with generous windows. Large gallery with hammock. Small pantry-kitchen in each lodge. High end natural materials for bed and bath. Pleasant atmosphere thanks to underfloor heating and natural ventilation. At long last away from the digital world. The centerpiece of the quartier is its daybar, located in the charmingly renovated old villa. Here, our guests can find freshly prepared meals, inspired by the kind we like to eat ourselves. We focus on products and ingredients that are healthy and regional with bio quality. The Forum is a great location for events, conferences, sport and much more. Its architecture provides an impressive backdrop and optimizes the atmosphere in each room, all of which can be booked individually.
We stayed in the Duplex cabin for 3 nights. Great views from both the dining area and bedroom windows. We loved the hammock and lounge chair up in the loft, which is the perfect place to relax in during a cold winter day. Bed was comfortable and the whole cabin was heated nicely for comfort. Location was excellent. Although the bedroom faces the main road, we were not disturbed by noise and slept well. Town centre, train station, supermarket were all within walking distance. The staff were very helpful, from helping us sort out the Data SIM card issue, to recommending ski school for beginners like us. The breakfast was nutritious and yummy; their scrambled eggs were the best we have tasted. Will definitely stay here again.

We looked for a place to stay in the Garmisch-Partenkirchen for a week, in a large, well-equipped room. We found the hotel based on recommendations on various sites and made an order. Since the hotel itself was fully booked at the end of the week due to an annual BMW conference we received a residential unit nearby, on the central route of Garmisch-Partenkirchen. After the registration at the hotel the girl who registered us directed us with the car to the apartment and at the same time went there independently. She showed us the apartment that was neat and clean. The apartment includes A well-equipped bedroom with a large wardrobe Bathroom with large, comfortable shower and toilet Large living room with an exit out to the garden and two nice seating areas A fully equipped kitchen (refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, oven, coffee maker, percolator, kettle, cutlery, etc.) The location of the apartment on the main road means accessibility, quick exit in any direction. To reach the center of Garmisch's life in the pedestrian mall, 10 minutes walk (200 meters on the sidewalk and then a pedestrian path to the entrance to the central area) During the week we had absolute privacy and quiet. When we wanted to help print a document, we arrived at the hotel during the reception hours and were glad to help us. A very positive experience, we enjoyed !!!

I stayed a couple of days in this place and was positively surprised. Apparently, the place has been recently refurbished. The room was very functional, spacious and spotlessly clean. Since I was driving, the parking place came handy. The new owner and his lovely wife are very professional, polite and helpful. I wish I could stay there a bit longer.

This was a nice place to stay. The room is a good size, the bed is comfy, and the patio is nice. I'm giving this an average review because it seemed very impersonal. We booked thru AirBNB so maybe it's not the usual place to book, but the host had no idea we were coming. When we arrived, we had to wait 20 minutes in our car because the host wouldn't even let us inside to wait while her daughter arrived from in town with a key. However, it was clean and within driving distance to the town. However, definitely confirm your visit prior to arriving!

I got here right before lunch time so I had couple of beers, Irish coffee, apple strudel and then ordered the salmon with potatoes and spinach for a total of ~30 euros. Had a pleasant time and a good view of the Ski slope!

Comfy beds. Very well located to centre of town. Excellent value for money. Lots of parking space in property itself or free on streets. Generous and good breakfast. Rooms a little small and dark. Helpful owner. Would stay again

This hotel is wonderfully old world Germany on the outside when you drive up to it with plenty of free parking. As we walked to the front door, finding it locked, we saw computer printed signs in the window - off humor signs in addition to an unfriendly sign directing you to cold drinks in an outdoor vending machine. At the front was a sign "closed". However due to the kindness of another guest who unlocked the door with his room key, we found our room key on the bar. At this point we were wondering should we stay here or leave. No host/owner/manager to greet/check-in guests - nor to be found during our stay. But we stayed, had a large, nice room with a bathroom. When we showered the water ran all over the bathroom floor as the caulked seal on the glass shower wall had broken away. A very nice buffet breakfast with the smiles of two female servers was welcoming. Many other guests were staying here and enjoyed breakfast. Actually some folks brought their dogs to this hotel. It appears the restaurant and bar are closed to the public - very disappointing as we stayed here for a restaurant on site. Apparently we met the owner - only at checkout - who hovered over his laptop and presented us with our final bill. I find the impersonalization exhibited at this hotel unusual and disappointing. The facilities are nice but management is indifferent. You couldn't pick a more authentic play to stay. Hopefully management will get it's act together soon.

This is a well kept place to stay close to shops & restaurants. Some of the rooms have been updated, it isn’t fancy (pull down comfortable Murphy beds) no soap or shampoo but has a small kitchenette with a larger shared kitchen below! They provide clean linens. Very reasonably priced! You can buy bottled water, pop & beer at a very reasonable price! The property is well maintained. The caretakers seem very friendly! It is everything you need at a reasonable price so close to the mountains to ski or hike!
