This bustling transport hub, site of the terminal for ferries to and from Norway, is a city of 25,000. Primarily a hectic ferry port and shopping pit stop, it's popular with Swedes and Norwegians, who visit to stock up on appealingly priced meat and alcohol. If you miss your ferry or tire of edible and potable on-shelf options, visit Bangsbo Museum, an open-air attraction full of 18th-century buildings, 14th-century ruins, antique farm equipment and handicrafts created from hair and WWII relics.

God stil.

Based on the very good evaluations on Tripadvisor we booked the hotel for one night. I really do not understand the other evaluations. Hvideklit is a very simple hotel, far away from 4-star level. The rooms are not Scancinavic simple in a positive way but simply simple. The "terraces" are a few stones with view of the parking. Not to mention the train passing directly by the hotel. The "private beach" is almost one kilometer to walk... All very disappointing.

We deciced on a weekend in Frederikshavn and looked around for a cheap place to stay. We found this "bed and breakfast", which actually dont serve breakfast. This place belongs to the Best Western Herman Bang, which can be found a few blocks away. Its at that hotel where you check in and will be given a key to the "bed and breakfast". Thats also where breakfast is served. It should be mentioned as one of the best we ever had at a hotel! Anyway, the B&B is an old house with two floors of rooms. Its all very clean and tidy, basic furniture and not much more. Its a place to sleep before the next destination, which makes its perfectly ok!

After an exhausting trip with Stena Line from Gothenburg to Fredrikshavn we arrived here late, approximately at midnight only to find the host, Erik, standing on the doorstep with open arms. What a welcome! He insisted we feel like home, showed us the room, and instructed where we would find beer, wine and other refreshments before enquiring about our breakfast wishes. We really made ourselves at home, found a bottle of wine, some glasses and enjoyed that before going to bed. After a good nights sleep we woke up and showered before breakfast, which was absolutely lovely - we felt really really well taken care of. Even our dogs enjoyed the stay in this lovely place. Thank you for making the start to our holiday just perfect!

Hotel Viking City is a cozy room complex, located in Saeby pedestrian street near the Market Place. Here, it is possible to obtain a cheap night the year around. If you live in the Hotel Viking City, you have the opportunity to experience the atmosphere at close range with a large selection of shops, restaurants and cafes on the doorstep. Only a stone's throw from the hotel is the old town with Saeby's oldest historic houses, abbey church from the 1500s, Saeby Museum, Old Watermill, waterfront and marina, etc. It offers guests 10 well-appointed standard double rooms, all with shower, toilet, kettle and TV. Some rooms have the option of an extra bed. There is no restaurant or reception at the Hotel Viking City. Indcheck and check-out takes place at Hotel Viking, and all meals are included in the stay, is also served in the restaurant at Hotel Viking - distance about 1.5 km. Hotel Viking disclaims all responsibility for any. noise from the pedestrian zone and the surrounding bars and restaurants.
No reception. Simple room that is ok for a night. Waterboiler and fridge in the room. Parking on the street. Seems old. Very close to some pubs, so it can be noisy during night, Bad wifi. Clean. Almost in the small city center, so its near to restaurants and small shopping.
