Great location, beautiful room, and the staff were so quick and helpful. Breakfast each morning was good and extremely helpful. This is a wonderful location with very few drawbacks. The only issue we had was that the AC was difficult to navigate in the room, and the AC unit was outside of the room with the bed, which made it hard to balance during the night. But the window opened, which helped a lot. We would absolutely visit this hotel again!

Carmel and Charlie O'Brien are the perfect hosts providing beautiful rooms, amenities and delicious breakfasts! We have stayed at the Ballingowan House on several prior trips and cannot say enough about the warm welcome and Irish hospitality we experience each visit. Carmel and Charlie know so much about the local area and have been very helpful in putting us in touch with long lost cousins, directing us to excellent restaurants and providing all sorts of insights and advice on local points of interest. In short, we feel like family when we stay at the Ballingowan House!

Beautiful modern Country House Bed & Breakfast in great location. Lovely scenery and gardens with beautiful countryside views. Safe secure parking. Families and their pets welcome. Nice walks. Wide choice of restaurants and pubs in the locality. Ideal location for golf, fishing, cycling and horse riding amenities nearby. Picturesque village of Adare and Limerick city within easy reach.
This is a very large ultra modern house with spectacular views to match. These stretch from Shannon Airport as far as County Tipperary. The rooms are spacious with good bathrooms. A particular mention must be made of the balcony which allows you to take in those great views. Ann gives great service and breakfasts.

This was our last B&B stop. Limerick is more of a gritty town than we had seen in Ireland. However, the Armada Lodge fit our needs. While the room was not fancily appointed, it did its job for the night. Ken was a good host, providing us directions to a great pub to hear music and dancing. His breakfast was very good as well. He is located in a more commercial portion of town, but we did not hear any noise during the night.

This was a great place to stay for our University group. The staff was EXCELLENT in helping us out with our rooms. They were so accommodating. We certainly appreciated all they did. The bathrooms, though shared, were very private. No problem at all. Breakfast was simple, but ample. The kitchen set up was great. We ordered delivered pizza and that worked superbly. The lounge had great couches for visiting. Just an all around perfect place to stay.

For those who like a country atmosphere Garrane House, built in 1930, is a place of peace and tranquility. The house is welcoming, and very comfortable. It is surrounded by farmland and is attached to a horse racing stableyard. It is 25 minutes from Limerick city and 15 minutes from the village of Adare.
Highly recommend to spend the night in this amazing house. The mistress of the house is absolutely lovely! Breakfast is very tasty and has a fresh juice, cheeses, bread, yogurts and etc. Our room was very spacious and cozy. We had bathrobe and slippers and also amazing view on the green field.

Our home is 100 years old and when you stay at The Orchard Bed and Breakfast, you will be stayaing with The Murphy Family. We have only 5 guest bedrooms. All of them are ensuite and towels are supplied. There is a cot available on request. I am a short distance from the centre of Newcastle West. (distance: 1.5 Km.) Parking is free. On arrival, there is complimentary tea/coffee and some of my homemade Guinness Cake. Try it and I am sure you will like it. My speciality is home baking. There is always some cake in the cake tin for the guest's use. For breakfast, I serve cereals, juice, fruit and yogurt. Then, would you like bacon, sausage and eggs? Or bacon and scrambled eggs? Maybe scrambled egg and smoked salmon? Or my French customers like my pancakes! I always have homemade Soda Bread and sometimes griddle Bread. If you stay a few nights and use Newcastle West as a centre to visit Kerry, Cork, Tipperary, Limerick City and Clare, I will have time to show you how to make my Guinness Cake or scones. Did I say that my husband is a farmer so would you like hen eggs or DUCK eggs? Just asking! You don't have to make your mind up now!As Newcastle West is not a tourist "hot spot" you will find the people very welcoming. In the local area there are many historical sites to see. Check out the Desmond Castle in the town centre, or the monastic ruins at Askeaton. Why not visit the Donkey Sanctuary in Liscaroll or Adare Heritage centre. Our local Pet Farm at Stonehall now has Zoo Status. The third in Ireland and the only one in Limerick. The Orchard Bed and Breakfast in only 1 hour from Killarney/Tralee and 2 hours from Dingle. Going north, I am just an hour and a half from the famous Cliffs of Moher and the Burren and an hour from Bunratty Castle. A trip to Blarney Castle and then onto the Rock of Cashel and home by the Glen of Aherlow is a must.To get to me is is very easy. I am on the N21. Coming from Limerick, I am on the right hand side of the road, just 200m after the 60 km/hr sign post. If you reach the roundabout you will have passed me by so just turn around and come back to me and I will have that tea or coffee and Guinness Cake ready for you.
We were welcomed by Eileen who showed us to our rooms. Although dated, the rooms were very comfortable and did exactly what we wanted, a bed for the night. Eileen's breakfasts are legendary, Unlimited toast (homemade bread), home made preserves, you decide on the quantity of cooked breakfast and whether to have goose, duck or hens eggs, fresh made griddle cakes and enough tea to fill a swimming pool. Eileen is so helpful and welcoming, she even made bookings for us at a nearby pub to reserve a table. I wholeheartedly recommend the Orchard'

This has absolutely been my best experience in Ireland. Ellen and Bryan are wonderful host and lovely people full of attention and able to make you really feel at home. The house in the middle of the Irish country is just gorgeous with a marvelous garden and it’s a must experience to be done in Ireland! The room was comfortable and very nice but the best arrives in the morning when Ellen prepares her stunning pudding... but be aware not to eat too much also from the buffet ‘cause afterwords she will ask “so what can I get you for breakfast?” meaning she will also cook a full irish breakfast on top! Unfortunately I didn’t go running and could not afford it but I’m sure it was super as all the rest!
