You are well looked after and the breakfast was delicious, the afternoon tea as well as the fire pit and bright shiny stars.. location is great so much on the same road. Jo and team know the area well and recommended a few winery's and reataurants . We loved Amandas and Baume

The outside of the old United Service Hotel is quite unassuming, but once you enter The Inn and make your way to the first floor you soon realise the quirkyness, colour, art and handmade furniture made by us that makes us unique. We have 2 Family Rooms that can accomodate up to 5 people in each room, 2 Twin Rooms and 9 King Rooms. All of our beds can be split into single beds and our Twin Rooms made up into Kings. All Rooms have ensuites and are well apointed with flat screen TV, bar fridge, air-conditioning and tea and coffee making facilities. Our rooms are all individual. Styled and painted in refreshing colours and furnished in our unique blend of older retro and in the now specially sourced furniture. At Vine Valley Inn we also have a Dining Room and Lounge Room with TV and record player with a wide selection of albums to evoke many memories and make new ones. Our kitchen has everything our guests may need to cook for themselves or their friends and family.
I would only stay here again if there was no alternative the room was clean but the bathroom needed a handyman to clean fix up some fittings and fixtures the bed was comfortable but quite small for two people the tv was probably 10 years old and the remote needed a good clean

Under New Management and Refurbished.Set in 200 acres at the foot of the Watagan Mountains, Hunter Valley Retreat is a Country Escape away from the hustle and bustle of city life.Clean and friendly with crisp white sheets, T.V's, Fridges and everything you need for a comfortable affordable stay, just 90 minutes from Sydney and 25 minutes from the Vineyards.
The accommodations are on expanded acreage which is inviting. The administration staff was very friendly and the price was quite attractive. The premises caters for pets. Regrettably it stopped there for me. The room is very tiny, the shower room has insufficient space to place personal items and is ‘70s style. The room has just 1 side cabinet though I don’t believe a 2nd would fit. The walls are paper thin and we had our own next-doors -yes two - “entertainment”. Then the disconcerting sound of showers and toilets flushing. Ordinarily I don’t comment on accommodation shortcomings but this I had to tell. The place has a lot of potential but needs to correct these shortfalls.

The stay here was not great. The facilities are clean but in a bad state of disrepair. The showering facilities are over a slippery bath with no non slip mat or hand rails if your a bit older stay away this is an accident waiting to happen. The bed was clean but uncomfortable. Staff were friendly.

The beautiful Neath Hotel is located on Cessnock Road between Cessnock and Kurri Kurri in the Hunter Valley, New South Wales, Australia. This family-friendly, country hotel is a huge 3 storey heritage building with a rich history dating all the way back to 1913. In its early days, the Neath Hotel was popular with miners, with mining being a rapidly developing industry in the Hunter Valley at the time, it was the perfect place to go after a hard days work - and still is! The Neath Hotel houses numerous historical artefacts from visitors along the way, including Harry Littlefair's mining lamp and fuel container. Harry Littlefair was a miner who grew up in the Hunter Valley, he often enjoyed a cold beer at the Neath Hotel and left his lamp and fuel container at the hotel for safe keeping when he went off to fight in the war. Harry passed away in battle and his lamp still resides at the Neath Hotel today. Today, the Neath Hotel is a safe family-friendly environment with restaurant, bar, TAB, KENO, Fox Sports, accommodation, beer garden, children's playground, children's playroom and free parking.
We stopped in for some drinks with family and the owner was so welcoming. He stopped for a few chats with us and even brought the kids out a wafer stick dipped in chocolate, as well as helping my husband out to our table with our drinks. So impressed with the amazing service!!!

Generous meals at reasonable prices. Friendly staff and just good quality pub food. We had just arrived in town and popped in for lunch. We were very happy with our dining experience. This place is also evidently very popular with the local tradies, always a good sign.

We're under NEW Management. With new owners and an exciting team, new bistro menus, and lot of plans in the works, why not come by and revisit the newest "Old" pub in the Hunter Valley. Built in 1914 the Bellbird Hotel captures the grand style of turn of the century Australian country hotels. We're located 5 Km west of Cessnock and minutes away for the Hunter Valley. The Bellbird Hotel is the perfect place to escape from the day to day grind. We can recommend some great wine tours or golf courses - just ask our friendly staff. We have a curtesy bus if you need a lift and we offer free parking if you prefer the comfort of your own car. We offer great specials on food and drinks in our restaurant and bistro as well as frequent entertainment. All our comfortable rooms have heaters, linen, towels and free WiFi. Each room offers access to shared bathroom facilities.
Visited for a Sunday lunch as w were told the food was good. It's an old pub & whilst the staff were friendly & helpful it totally lacked atmosphere. They have $15 Sunday lunches plus some specials. I had the fish & chips and partner had salt & pepper calamari. The calamari was ok but my fish & chips were very ordinary. With so many better options in the area will not be going back anytime soon.

Comfortable accommodation in a quiet location. Offering free off street parking, free Wifi, Foxtel & a refreshing pool. We stayed for a couple of nights over Christmas and our first thought was disappointment, having booked a groupon package, the king deluxe room with sofa, didn’t exist. Breakfast was little packets of cereal, glass of juice (?) and a couple of slices of break given the day prior. The pool is really small and as the motel was at, or near capacity we opted to avoid it and the numerous kids crowding it. The room was ok. Parking is an issue ( very tight for our allocated room) and as we had a lot of our personal recreation equipment in the back of our colarado (covered by the tonnue and sealed, we were very concerned where the allocated parking was. The greatest attribute of the hotel is the hosts, who had only owned the hotel for a month or so. They were keen to help where the could and we enjoyed their hospitality.
