Ty Castell Guest House is the ideal place to stay for Caerphilly. Steve runs a tight ship and it shows. It's central location and price beat the Travelodge hands down and the rooms and breakfast were on point. Town can be reached in just over 5 minutes on foot. Car parking is available for each room and the en-suite rooms were spacious an comfortable.

Traditional pub with a warm friendly atmosphere. A menu with a wide variety of meals both British and from around the world. Large beautiful gardens to relax in with our real ales and exquisite food. Along with bed and breakfasts at reasonable prices.
The room wasn't what we were expecting as it was a little small and outdated. In between the shower wasn't usable properly one second date of the ice cold next minute piping hot then back to ice cold again. The bathroom floor boards felt like they were going to give way from underneath us and there was a lingering smell from the drains that you would notice when you first walk into the room. For some strange reason we can't work out why the lights flickered a lot both lamp and ceiling. The staff were very very friendly and welcoming the bar facilities for good and we very much enjoyed our evening meals. The only reason we didn't give a five-star was the accommodation and facilities in the room (i.e. shower and toilet) we have paid less than £60 per night for better accommodation.

Great beer, entertainment, food and a bed for the night in one of our well designed comfortable rooms all with tv, tea/coffee, en-suite there is one family room that sleeps upto 5 people we have a pet friendly room with a double bed and 3 more double rooms. We are in an idealistic spot for tourism and travel as we have buses that run on a regular basis and a train station with a line into the city of Cardiff.
A really lovely hotel, incredibly friendly and welcoming, rooms were amazing, we booked out the whole 5 rooms and will definitely stay again when in the area. The breakfast was lovely too and the locals in the pub downstairs :)

My partner and I needed a place to stay in Rudry as our friends were getting married in the parish hall there and we managed to get a room at the coach house. Elzabe was a perfect host, the room we stayed in was clean and spacious and the breakfast was just what we needed after a night of festivities! The next time we’re in that neck of the woods we’ll definitely stay again

We finally got married in May 2022, our wedding day had been planned since April 2020. We would like to thank the whole team at the maes manor for making our wedding day really special. A extra special thank you to Mike for his patience and understanding on how many times we had to move our wedding due to covid restrictions 4th time lucky. The food was amazing credit to the chef. They even made special dietary requirements for my son who has a gluten intolerance. Sam and Becky where fantastic throughout the whole process and especially Sam in the evening who looked after us throughout. The day and night was absolutely fantastic and all our guests commented on how nice the evening flowed We laughed from the start to the finish. We would definitely recommend getting married at the maes manor. The bridal sweet was amazing and breakfast the next day was exactly what we needed. Thank you again for making our day so rememorable, Sian and David Hutt

Your hosts Paul and Jennifer Taylor extend a warm welcome to you here at The Rock. The former winners of the Enterprise Inns National Pub of the year competition have put their plans to emigrate down-under on hold. Having taken on the tenancy of The Rock in July, they have completely refurbished the entire hostelry throughout. We offer an elegant, well stocked bar, choice of real ales, interesting selection of wines and some old fashioned soft drinks which all catch the eye as you approach. The menu is comprehensive, predominantly fresh food based, catering for both those on the move lunchtimes, as well as those who prefer to linger. Our specials are innovative and changed regularly.
My boyfriend and I loved staying here! We were visiting family in the area and stayed for one night. The service is very warm (thank you Paul and Jennifer for your hospitality!). Really lovely atmosphere and friendly faces. Makes you feel at home. Lovely pub with a good menu. The room was very clean and with nice character. We even took a walk along the river nearby, such beautiful views. We will definitely stay here again.

Really excellent meal in friendly pub atmosphere with just a few tables. Cooking and serving by the family. Our B and B had failed to include it in its recommendations. I believe it has changed licensees and name recently so maybe that’s why. We would have gone back with more time

A beautiful, impressive detached Edwardian building dating from 1910, full of character and charm which was originally the local police station for the area. This beautiful and appealing building (which still has one of the original cells) has been carefully and sensitively modernised and now offers 6 very welcoming self catering, en suite letting rooms. Each room has a mini kitchen & modern en suite bathroom with rainhead shower. Close to Cardiff, Caerphilly Castle, Merthyr, Brecon and only 2 miles from the A470. Ideal for cycling enthusiasts as The Taff Trail (The National Cycle Track) is practically on our doorstep plus we are just 10 minutes by car from Bike Park Wales in Merthyr and from Cwmcarn 'Mountain Bike Wales' Bike Park.
Arrived at this place to an amazing building. Very friendly couple who own this but unfortunately didn’t get to meet as they were on holiday which I’m sure they did deserve. They left their son in charge who was also so nice to deal with. We were given a card with different codes to get in the gate and the entrance door to our room and the card then to scan to enter our room so very secure. We were amazed at how well the room was. Especially the shower which was so good. Bed was very comfortable. Would highly recommend this for a stay. This place was recommended to us by a really good friend and he didn’t disappoint us.
