Meaning “place of divers,” Bucerias on Mexico’s Pacific Coast is a charming antidote to the hustle and bustle of nearby Puerto Vallarta. You’ll meet the friendly locals and enjoy beautiful beaches, fantastic dining, outdoor activities and art galleries. Locals congregate in the small plaza in the center of town or head for the beach for some sun and unfettered mountain and bay views.
Beyond the beaches of Bucerias, you’ll find superb dining, flea markets laden with special treasures, art galleries, and pubs. Once you’ve tired of the sun, meander through the flea market off the main plaza and tour the residential side of Bucerias, complete with boutique shopping and quality restaurants like La Quinta di Francesco and Adriatico. Some of the best art galleries in town include Splurge Art Gallery, showcasing emerging local artists and designer pewter. On Thursday evenings, participate in the local art walk, and on Sundays, visit the authentic Mexican market.
From Bucerias, explore other Riviera Nayarit locations such as Savulita, Punta Mita and San Francisco – they’re all accessible by cheap, frequent bus service.

This place was awful! I booked a room here for 7 nights and was placed in an old worn out room with most awful decor that you’ve ever seen. After complaining to the front desk, I was able to upgrade to a remodeled room for an extra $30 usd per night. The food was lousy none of the taxi drivers even knew how to get to this dump, it was like Bucerias was in another planet than The surrounding cities. The housekeeper “cleaned” our room 2 out of the 7 nights we were there and would never leave face towels even after tracking her down for doing her job. I would have to go to the front desk for towels ( which they don’t have) and tell them that our room needs towels, she would then show up 1-2 later with large towels that we already had. The bartenders and the waitresses are very nice, but kind of on the slow side. I just don’t recommend this place to anyone, unless you’re from there. I have never had a bad time in Mexico, but my experience with this place makes me not want to come back again.

The biggest problem is soundproofing!!!!! I could hear every sound in all directions. I had serious concerns for the lady above me cause it sounded like she was dying. But the cute thing is they have such a community presence. Snow birds come down every year, all Canadians from different provinces and meet here. I felt like a family member and super safe as I travel solo. Security: they do have 24 hr security and they were great. As for rooms...super clean. Very impressed. But the whole housekeeping guest vs long term is a bit confusing (and I sleep late) but they always had security so he would open the linen room if you needed a roll of toilet paper. ? My internet was in and out and cable was temperamental at times but sufficient. Location: perfect!!!!!! If you can't pay the 200 bucks a night ocean front but can still hear it loud and clear....it's 5 mins from everything. Which brings me to Cost: I found it very expensive for what you get; but hearing the reviews I'm thinking I may have paid too much. $120 USD / night? When all I hear is budget hotel?? Overall. I enjoyed my stay, rooftop views laying in a hammock watching the sunset over the ocean. Pros: the seasonal guests. Love them to pieces. Security was amazing! Cons: soundproofing, doors to units are not secure. It's like opening your locked bedroom door. You can see through the frame and it doesn't close properly unless you slam it! Won't allow service animals/pets. (I normally travel with a small service dog for epilepsy, but he was ill. Guess this means I won't be back.

Remains the best option for their facilities and family for having the most beautiful beach in the bay. A true paradise on Huanacaxtle most beautiful beach, a beautiful hideaway where you can enjoy the beautiful sunsets and sunrises more pleasurable than ever dreamed
We only stayed 2 weeks after 6 weeks in a condo next to the highway. It was wonderfully quiet, clean and welcoming. We definitely recommend this basic lodging for its location on the beach, helpful staff.and cleanliness Be sure to try Maestranza across from the hotel for dinner!

Boutique Hotel with a Mexican Colonial style, located in the center of the Flamingos Golf course, next to a beautiful lake with a great diversity of flora and fauna, where You can enjoy a quiet day with family and friends. All our Suites are equipped with kitchen, fridge, air conditioner, small living room and TV with satelital channels. We have suites for 2,4 and 6 people.
Settled in alongside a beautiful estuary, this place is clearly mismanaged and sadly misplaced. From run down rooms to rock hard mattresses and pillows. It’s as if the owners went on a permanent vacation and don’t put anything back into their investment. I’ve never felt so unwelcomed upon arrival. Lobby was filthy with their resident cat hair all over the seating. Anything on the grounds and including the lobby furniture that is made of wood is rotting and bug eaten. I would definitely never recommend this place to anyone. It’s just flat gross. Not a “resort”.

For the price, and for our family of 4, we could not have picked a better place to stay. We were only there one night before our Air B&B was ready, but the staff was so friendly and we received all that was promised. It was cheap and clean. I wish we would have researched a little more and we would have stayed in their bungalows on the beach. They had a spectacular view. The staff went above and beyond for us. Thanks Suites Princess for introducing us to the friendly Bucerias!

We have stayed 3 yrs now and booked for 2021. We stay 3 months. The only noisy time is during festival of boats Jan 14 for one week. Only 150 steps to the ocean. A small quaint hotel with many couples who return every year . The restaurant is well known for it’s delicious meals and happy hours.
