Australia’s third-largest city, Brisbane is the hub of Queensland culture, offering a peek at the past and a glimpse into the future. Visit the historic Windmill and Old Commissariat Store, built by convicts in 1828, or fast-forward to the present (and beyond) with a trip to the new Gallery of Modern Art. Mingle with locals atop Mount Coot-tha, cruise the Brisbane River to South Bank’s sandy beach on the City Cat and make sure to fill the cuteness quota at Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary, home to koalas and kangaroos.

Location is extremely handy for train to airport, a 5 min walk. Area is slightly dodgy/rundown but seemed safe. 15mins walk to trendy restaurants & shopping. 1st room smelt of smoking and so was instantly given new room which was slightly smaller as bed was against the wall so one person had to crawl in & out, but it was spotlessly clean, comfy bed & hot water. So absolutely no complaints, the ceiling art does give it a “ex knocking shop” kind of vibe but that’s amusing the ceiling art does give it a “ex knocking shop” kind of vibe but that’s amusing

Been a year since I stayed here last, and it didn't disappoint. Getting there - Was easy to find, ample parking, easy access to foyer and lifts. Check in - Again, easy and staff were polite and friendly. Room - Very spacious, clean and again I had a super comfy bed. Facilities - Downstairs is the restaurant and bar or just order room service. Next door is still a good Coles, and across the road is the Woollies and other small shops, so there is plenty of amenities in walking distance. I will be back.

This hotel hid behind a no-cancellation policy to deny us a refund or REASONABLE rebooking for COVID-related no-fault cancellations. We lost close to $600 to them. They were rude, inflexible and extremely unfair. Will never return or recommend.

I had to move out from the original hotel I stayed due to fully-booked. Since my flight is at 9:00 am, so I thought staying close to the airport would be good since I would not need to wake up early. Searched in Google Map for hotels near the airport and decided to stay at Prince of Wales Hotel mainly because it was reasonably priced with many cafes/eateries nearby. Arrived at the hotel around 6:30pm tired and hungry, but was told that the room booked had already been taken up by mistake. The lady in-charged was quick to offer an upgrade (no more studio room) with free dinner because the room needed time to be cleaned/tidied up. We ended up in a 2-room suites and the dinner was great! But we had to change room the next day after they had vacated the original studio room that I booked. For all the trouble the hotel gave me a 5% refund. Though I experienced some inconveniences, I applaud the way they handled the situation, and I actually felt that they respected their hotel guests. The studio room is quite small with attached toilet & bathroom. Unlike the 2-room suites facing the main road was quite noisy, this room at the back was quieter. The fixtures were aged. All the hotel rooms are on 1st floor with no lift. We were given 2 keys, one for the room and one for the entrance downstairs. We stayed 2 nights and left around 6:00am, just dropped the keys at the box next to the entrance. We pre-ordered Uber and it got here right on time and it took about 10min to get to the airport. Overall I feel that it is a good choice for overnight stay especially for early flight if you don't mind carrying your luggage up/down the stairs and having small size room (Studio).

Overlooking the Brisbane River, Story Bridge and stunning city skyline, Central Dockside Apartments is just minutes from the CBD by ferry or taxi, with Brisbane's best restaurants, entertainment and shopping just moments away. Located at historic Kangaroo Point, Central Dockside offers spacious one and two bedroom apartments featuring fully equipped kitchens, laundries and private balconies.
I had a neat and very tidy large one bedroom apartment overlooking the river from its own balcony and it was also a surprisingly quiet place to stay. I had never stayed here before but I will definitely stay here again!
