Our Bed & Breakfast is located in a historical residence in the "piazza" of the Medieval village of San Donato in Poggio. It's across another ancient historic residence, Palazzo Malaspina, now a venue for cultural activities and events.
Fantastic terrace with great views. Ancient townhouse lovingly restored by Paolo and Valeria. Lots of features and antique knick knacks to look at and wonder about how did they collect all this stuff? Great hosts. Have stayed twice and am planning to go back again.

The Antica Pieve Bed and Breakfast is a typical Tuscan Villa, located in Tuscany on the hills of Chianti at half way between Florence and Siena on the famous "Cassia" ancient roman road in Tavarnelle Val di Pesa (Florence), in one of the most beautiful Chianti areas. The Antica Pieve B&B is a strategic location from which it is possible to visit the most important historical towns of Tuscany: Florence, Siena, Badia a Passignano, Greve in Chianti, San Gimignano, Volterra, Castellina in Chianti, Certaldo, Radda in Chianti, Barberino Val d'Elsa.During the day you can refresh yourself in the swimming-pool or sun bathe in the garden or in the solarium terrace.
We arrived late afternoon, touring Italy on our motorbike, very hot and tired. Our welcome was wonderful, very friendly and put us at ease straight away. Thank you, Filippo! The pool was great and we virtually had it to ourselves. It served as an excellent base to visit the local area. The breakfasts had variety and quality, just as the evening meals we had at the 'Ristorante Borgo Antico' enclosed within the B&B. Absolutely amazing!

We were a large family group consisting of our family of four and my sister in laws’ family of three and stayed three nights. The units were large, warm and comfortable. The mornings were a brisk -5 deg to 0 deg C but you’d never have known it in the unit. There was a refrigerator but no microwave oven. We stayed in late November so not many guests so the breakfast on offer in the dining area had a limited selection of food. Still tasty, but limited. When we first arrived early in the day so our rooms weren’t yet ready so we asked for recommendations of where to go until check-in. The young lady at the desk, whose name escapes me, was very helpful. (All staff we’re friendly and helpful)We ended up returning at 7pm we had such an interesting time exploring the roads and villages in the area. San Gimignano is not to be missed. Never got to thank her in person but her recommendations were spot on. The property is a little isolated so you do need a car to get around. It is very convenient to the Autostrada to Florence ( no traffic noise) and has a lovely rural backdrop. Prices were really good at this time of the year and we were very happy with it. We wouldn’t hesitate to return if we visit the area again.

B&B located in a medieval tower in the heart of Chianti, a charming ambient with garden with view on the vineyards.
What a beautiful hotel! Simply stunning. We stayed here for two nights after getting married in nearby Rignana and it really completed a perfect weekend. Francesca was a great host and made everything easy from first booking to late check out. The room was large and the view from the roof terrace was beautiful. Breakfast was a good selection and staff all very friendly. When back in Tuscany id look at staying here again for sure

This is a place it excels in the details. I’ve spent 20 days travelling in Italy and learned about a few standards, like the tiny TVs and, even worst, the shower areas, always the same terribly small size. Here, the shower area is big enough, the Internet speed is great, the TV is not only bigger but with support to pen drives (allowing me to plug in and watch my films on the big screen). Other than these very specific details (you will relate after spending some time in Italy), this is a brand new B&B, with the right amount of space and comfort, a very nice breakfast and, a big plus: A owner (Giovanni), extremely nice and truly concerned about the well being of his guests. He provided good tips on where to eat and places to visit, always with a smile and making sure I would have a good experience. Tavernalle is a central location and you’ll be able to visit the whole Tuscany from here (I did it in 6 days). A car is a must though.

The restaurant, with its welcoming indoor dining room, the magnificent open terrace overlooking the beautiful view of San Donato in Poggio and the guest house with four elegant rooms
We dined watching the sun go down over the lovely hillside village of San Donato. You get a warm welcome and a glass of prosecco Great menu with plenty of choice, which is refreshing as some local restaurants have quite limited menus. The dishes were well presented and creative without being fussy and the wines were great. High quality honest food at a fair price.

Pleasant typical tuscan country house situated in a relaxing envirament in green area of chianti region very close to the center of village e spectacular view over tuscany hills all rooms climatized
This B&B was a home away from home, placed in the middle of this small town, it was our home base for day trips for nearly a week. We had hired a car in Florence, and from this spot we drove to many of the well know towns in the Tuscany region. A little hard to find with GPS, as it's tucked behind the main shops, through a narrow drive through, but once inside, it's picture post card Tuscany views. The lady who owned the home could not be more helpful, A/C room, with adjacent bathroom, which was maintained daily. Breakfast was a delight, home made cake every morning, she really went out of her way to make sure we had a great stay.

I stayed here on 10thof November 2014. I was made very welcome. It is a typical hotel, cafe, bar. Great atmosphere, friendly staff. Clean large room. My only regret was not being able to stay a few days, because Maps will show you its in a great location. Grazie Mile!

Historic and rustic farmhouse, part of a big estate, recently restored with taste and divided into separate apartments, each with independent access to the garden.Parking at disposal near the house.
Firstly, the entrance isn't the one on the receipt, that is the back of the property so we found it hard to find. The three or four rooms at the top of the property are relatively accessible but the rooms at the bottom are certainly not. The rooms themselves are big & immaculately clean but the kitchen in our room was only very rudimentary, not a bin or even a cloth to wipe down. The bathroom was very clean but rudimentary as well. The bed was probably the hardest bed I have ever slept in. Guillia was very helpful and lovely.
