Ocean West is a 10-room boutique hotel and is Nassau's newest luxury hotel and vacation rental superbly situated seventy feet above sea level with breathtaking views of Lake Killarney to the south and the Atlantic Ocean to the north. We are an exclusive resort with remote access only for our guests. This resort is located in the western district of New Providence.
My son and I just got back from staying at The Ocean West and all I have to say is that the staff are above and beyond amazing!! The manager had the best recommendations for where to go, the best advice, and was extremely knowledgeable. The hotel staff drives you to wherever you want to go and our favorite driver “Carlton” aka W was the coolest chick-a-tarian ever. Someday he’s going to be a famous comedian. I would like to say that we were the coolest guests they ever had and I know they will miss us very much. The hotel looks like Uncle Phil’s house in Bel Air so make sure you say hi to Carlton. We give them 5 stars.

At the west end of New Providence lies an exquisite hideaway. A STONE'S THROW AWAY is perched on one of the highest elevations by the coast. Here our Guests can indulge in a rare panoramic view of Nassau 's land and sea. The scenery boasts the best of the island's natural wonders, from the native pine forest by Lake Killarney to the brim of the coral reefs that protect the glimmering beaches of west Nassau. The property was recently built to echo the traditions of an old Bahamian home: wood floors and wood ceilings, louvered shutters and a large wrap around porch bring the visitors back to a quieter time long ago when the music of the islands could be heard in the whispers of the trade winds.
We needed a one night stay in Nassau between flights and we thought we would treat ourselves to staying at A Stones Throw. Sure, the location is great and the old stone and castle like setting was pretty great. But our room was rundown and smelly. It was damp and the furniture was old and tired. I felt like I was back in pirate times with a small room and a poorly equipped bathroom. The ocean view porch is huge but you share it with the room next door so it’s not private. The bathroom was really small and the shower knob fell off when turned on. No hooks to hang anything on and the itty bitty closet smelled dank. The cold breakfast the next morning was good but they only offer you paper plates and cups and plastic cutlery. For over $300US a night I want a cup of coffee in a mug, not a disposable paper cup. Brutal. I was shocked quite honestly. The view on the main deck is stunning but they need to up their game in finer services and decor to match the bill you pay. I won’t stay here again.

Thank you to Juanita and all your staff and relations! I chose this hotel as it is run by a local family and I thought I would get good recommendations for activities and food. Juanita and her team looked after me like a member of her family. I went horse riding (twice) on her uncle's horses; had a perfect boat trip with her nephew, Darren. Hannah made fab Painkiller cocktails. Michael made great breakfasts and dinners. Juanita introduced me to other guests and visitors. I am only sad that I had to say goodbye!

Welcome to our little piece of paradise! The Sunset Cove and Rainbow Room is a small boutique resort with a restaurant, pool and bar located in the hearth of Eleuthera with pristine panoramic Caribbean, gorgeous nearby beach style cottages. The Resort's location on the island makes it an ideal base from which to explore the rest of Eleuthera. Within minutes of the Resort are some of the island's top tourist attractions: Surfer's Beach, the Famous Caves of Hatchet Bay, Glass Window Bridge, the Pineapple Fields of Gregory Town, plus our own Secret Beach. We even have Bonefish Graham's "Rainbow Guide" to bonefishing on Eleuthera. Our waterfront area with its seaside tennis court and some of the best snorkeling on the island (one of the sites on the Jean-Michel Cousteau Bahama Out island Snorkeling Adventures) will provide hours of enjoyment for the whole family! The vibrant and colorful The Sunset Cove and Rainbow Room and its Rainbow Bay Club is a historic property on Eleuthera Island that has seen many transformations since it was built in the 1970. Once a Restaurant with a bed and breakfast, and then a rental property, the boutique hotel now serves as one of the most casual-sophisticated small resorts on Eleuthera Island. The property features 15 uniquely decorated rooms with three different level: Deluxe, Superior and Standard for the convenience of our guest-friends, a pool and beautiful Bahamian park overlooking the Caribbean site. The restaurant at the hotel are among the best on the island and, if you’re feeling like a stroll, there is the famous Rainbow Beach just a few minutes away from the property, or you can snorkel directly from the rocks at property. Please note that our Cottages have been kept deliberately in the decoration and style of the 70s, some guests love to feel the "old Bahamas", so please book the cottages only if you really like the old feeling. If you like modern and upscale Luxury suites, we recommend you reserve one of the Luxury brand new suites 4* Hotel. For any additional question please feel free to ask.
Staff was very friendly and helpful and they even have their own herbal rum liqueur -- Bahamaro. We selected this property because it offered kitchenettes but we got only a small fridge. One large room with Queen and single bed and old shower. Water pressure was uneven so we often had spurts from the taps. Beds were hard and pillows were lumpy. We had just come from a beachfront 2-bedroom cottage with full kitchen in South Palmetto Point that actually cost much less than Sunset, so we weren't impressed with our room. The pool and pool area are fabulous and the restaurant and bar are very nice. Had very nice Vegetarian 8-slice pizza for $28.

An intimate 16-suite beachfront boutique resort on one of Exuma's prettiest coves. Reopened in 2009 following a lavish makeover. Augusta Bay is an exclusive boutique HOTEL.
First of all, this was our 5th trip to Augusta Bay since 2019. We have seen the damage that Covid and Isaias have done to the island since that time. Through it all, the folks at The Inn have been more accommodating, friendly and flexible than the conditions should allow. The last few trips have been peaceful, as they are still fixing some of the rooms from the storm last year and there have not been so many quests because of the pandemic. However, as a working middle class American we feel lucky to get such digs and treatment for the comparatively low price we pay to stay there. Although the restaurant is closed, there are plenty of places to eat close by. The pool is wonderful, the AC works and the view is great! Oh yeah, despite what you hear from other buffoon reviews, all the rooms are oceanfront, just depends if you want to be 20 ft from the water of 30 ft… For the price, you get a decent place to stay. It’s not for everyone and I’m sure Sandals will take your money. We will be back in the fall.

I lead a busy life and wanted to go somewhere where I could disconnect from everything, swim, sleep, read and eat. I got it all at the Sandpiper. Lovely, clean cottage room with a large modern bathroom, windows that open (a must) an excellent chef who cooked me 3 meals a day, and a 3 minute bike ride to the beach where I was the only person there. Marcus, the tour guide, and his wife showed me around. They are the loveliest people. I felt very comfortable and safe at all times, which is important to me as a single female traveler. I will say the Wi-Fi was spotty at best so if you’re there to keep up on the news or binge watch your favorite TV shows, you may be disappointed. But perhaps it’s been fixed by now.

I reserved a room with king bed, sea view, private entrance approx 600 sq ft. What I got was a room just big enough for a standard double bed with a hard mattress and lousy springs. At least the AC worked well :/ I was told the hotel was full and only other room available had a queen bed and shared bathroom. I was refused any kind of discount for the inferior room.

We just returned from staying at EBR & really enjoyed our stay! Frankie, Gwen & Dominic all were so welcoming & really made us feel at home & helped us with anything we needed! This resort has such a small family feel to it which is just what we wanted vs. a big all-inclusive. Very quite, relaxing & laid back! Thanks EBR!
