Small family run and very friendly hotel close to the town centre
Reviewed By Tony088From the moment we arrived Domenico, Maria and Guilia made us feel more than welcome, it was more like a meeting of old friends! The hotel has been recently thoughtfully and tastefully converted, our room was very comfortable, especially the bed and boasts a great shower - ideal after a hard days skiing. It's just a few minutes walk from the Roman Arch and the start of the main street through the Aosta, which makes it an ideal base for exploring the city. The ski lift to Pila is a five minute drive away. Very highly recommended, especially if like us you prefer small family run hotels to large ones.

Starting from the kindness of Viviana during the booking procedure, the attention for the small things, the app you could use to chat directly with the host, the helpfulness of the whole family...all these things made us enthusiastic and very satisfied about our choice! Absolutely recommend for a weekend of nature and romance! ❤️

Reviewed By 17lizeI loved everything about this hotel. I loved the decorations and the employees. When we got there they accidentally gave our room to another group. They were quick to fix the problem by giving us two rooms. One room had a balcony with a beautiful view of the valley. Both rooms had nice comfortable beds. The breakfast was plentiful. The rooms were very clean and spacious. We really enjoyed our stay there. The owner didn't speak English but we were able to translate with others on site.

Reviewed By rebeccardavisonDomus Antica is wonderful. The room I stayed in was beautifully decorated to a very high standard. The whole place feels unpretentiously luxurious. It is immaculate and the WiFi is excellent. The best thing though is the proprietor, Maddalena Cristiani. She is so warm and welcoming and kind. A truly special person. To stay in Domus Antica is to feel like coming home in a foreign land.

"Ambrosia" è una struttura di design caratterizzata dall’attenzione ai particolari. La zona in cui ci troviamo ed i luoghi circostanti offrono ai nostri ospiti la possibilità di immergersi nei colori e luci delle vie dello shopping apprezzare e acquistare i prodotti degli artigiani locali, degustare i prodotti tipici del posto grazie agli itinerari enogastronomici, partecipare ai numerosi eventi culturali e alle imperdibili mostre perdendosi tra musei e spazi espositivi, immergersi nella quiete di rigogliosi giardini e negli splendidi paesaggi. A poca distanza dalla nostra residenza gli ospiti troveranno esempi del nostro patrimonio e varie attrazioni turistiche impianti sportivi e palestre per prendersi cura del proprio corpo, piste da sci e caroselli dedicati a tutti gli sport.

Accommodations were clean and comfortable but the best parts of our stay were 1) the view from the balcony and 2) the warmth and hospitality of the owner. She was exceptionally pleasant and eager to help and accommodate us make our stay as pleasant as possible. Breakfasts were excellent and complimented by pleasant guests we met there. A little awkward to find but well worth the effort.

Basic and too far away

The hotel though is way too far out, just at the edge of the city and more like 30 minutes walk from the train station. Buses are almost non existent and the only option is a taxi. I was trying to save a buck but in the end I wished I had paid more to live in the city centre. The room is basic and outdated. No toiletries. Bed was ok but bed sheets old and generally not very clean. The staff at the reception was very helpful and held my luggage while I was climbing in the mountains. For the price, the room was decent, but without a car it is located too far away from anything. Wouldn't go again

Excellent 2 star hotel
Reviewed By John WWhat a find, this 2 star hotel is in a great location for exploring the Aosta valley. The warm welcome we received was only exceed by the delightful Italian dinner that we experienced prepared and served by family members. The rooms were spacious with comfortable beds and stunning views from virtually ever window. I have paid a lot more money and not received either the quality of food or standard of service that this family hotel supplied. Added to which was a superb breakfast

“Le Clos d’Anbot” was born on 30th December 2015 from a completely renovated family home, from the collaboration between generations. Our Bed and Breakfast is located a few steps from Aosta center and is a strategic point for an infinite number of trips and solutions to discover our beautiful Aosta Valley. The structure is equipped with satellite TV, Wi-Fi system (free), kettle for herbal teas, hair dryer, mountain phytocosmetics for the body; a breakfast room, a relax area and a large garage (from 2017 equipped with TESLA charging for electric cars!)

Reviewed By RFooDFooCannot rate this b&b highly enough. The rooms are lovely and spacious with a nice terrace area to enjoy a drink after a long day hiking. Breakfast is really lovely - every day different meat, cheese, bread, pastries so you can enjoy a taste of Aosta, along with fresh juices, yoghurts, fruits and plenty of coffee. Parking is very secure in a garage and only 15 minutes walk from town (I would only not recommend if mobility is an issue and you aren't happy to eat in the very local pizzeria / bar for every night of your stay... We were more than happy to walk to town and try different restaurants!). The toiletries in the hotel also are lovely (this might be strange to comment on, but they really were!!) And most of all, Laura and her husband are the most wonderful hosts, making sure we were well looked after at breakfast and on return from long hikes, which makes the stay even more enjoyable. We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend if you are looking to stay in this region for one or many nights!!
