I would Definitely stay here again. Fire pit, plenty of Adirondack chairs.that were ight on the lake and next to the door. Canoe, kayaks, etc always available. We were here Memorial day weekend, so the pool was not open. The bed was comfortable, pillows were great, towels great. Room was very clean. We ran out of wood for the fire pit and they very quickly went out and got more wood for us. The only downside was the carpet had stains, Should be addressed and cleaned when it looks like that. Quick fix. One thing I was impressed by, was how the manager spoke to the employees. She seemed so nice and understanding. Addressed everything right away with a smile! Good job! Definitely would stay here again!

I booked a "studio" at the hotel for four nights, so I could enjoy the fall foliage in Lake Placid and the surrounding areas. However, upon arriving at the Boutique Hotel by Lake Placid Inn (this is where guests are required to check in before getting to Lake Placid Inn: Residences), I was told to wait, as there were maintenance issues with my room. The advertised check-in time was 4:00 p.m., but I did not arrive until 5:30 p.m. and thought my room would be ready shortly thereafter. However, the wait wasn't too bad. I got my key and went to LPI: Residences. Upon entering my studio at LPI: Residence, I could tell the floor wasn't clean. So I had to purchase a Swifter and went through 6-7 wet pads. They were almost black; the floor around the indoor door mat was even more dirty. After spending 20-30 minutes of cleaning the floor, I thought I could finally breathe a sigh of relief and get settled in the room. But it was not long before that I noticed that the blinds were off; they could not be opened or pulled; the knobs at the end of the strings were missing. The blinds themselves sagged in some areas and could not be readjusted to filter out the outdoor light (or porch light at night). Next, I went to the thermostat to turn on the A/C, the words, "replace battery," kept flashing on the LCD display. My studio also had a nice kitchen (more of a kitchenette with a full-sized stove, fridge, and full sink), but I noticed that the dish soap bottle was almost empty. There was no extra one under the sink. I also had issues with connecting to the Internet; I received an e-mail from the hotel with log-in credentials on the day of check-in and copied the password letter for letter, but it wouldn't work. So I called the front desk at the Boutique Hotel by Lake Placid Inn regarding three issues:1) the thermostat being low on battery; 2) the dishwasher soap; and 3) the Wi-Fi log-in issues. They said they would let their maintenance staff know about the thermostat being low on battery, but they never stopped by to replace the battery. And they also said they were all out of dish soap and as such, I would have to buy some from the nearest grocery store; and finally, they said the password they gave me for connecting to their Wi-Fi was incorrect and could not understand why I received the e-mail from them with the incorrect password. It was almost as if they didn't double-check the e-mail for accuracy before sending it out. Just before I went to bed, I decided I'd watch some TV, but the TV would not work. A dim blue light came on and that was it. I have the same TV model at home and have not had any issues with it, but the TV in my hotel room just wouldn't work. It was also very dusty; it looked as if it had not been dusted in weeks. Even the frame around the A/C was dusty. It was just one thing after another. So, I made a decision not to stay at the hotel for another night and would be checking out the next morning. Just before I checked out the next morning, I decided to take a quick shower. I noticed some mildew buildup on the floor, in the corners of the shower stall. I used some towel to remove it and it came off easily; it was not as though they were stubborn stains. It became clear to me that the housekeeping staff or management did not give the hotel the attention it needed. Never have I stayed at a hotel that was so poorly maintained, substandard, or neglected; it looks great in the photos and I was excited about staying there -- only to return home after one night at the hotel. Please take my word and do not stay at this hotel. It is not worth the trouble -- especially if you want to visit Lake Placid for a couple of nights.

We were in the area for the first time in the summer and fell in love. Coming back in the fall was even more beautiful! This time we chose the Haus for our stay. As we are being cautious due to covid still being around and us having unvaccinated children, a place with a kitchen was needed. The Haus has a full size kitchen and fit our needs perfectly. The arrival was contactless, so we picked up our pizza dinner at Ere's (literally next door) and brought everything to the room. There is a loading zone very close and a parking lot nearby. The pullout bed was already made for us and worked perfectly for our kids while we enjoyed the privacy of our own room. The room was clean and had normal wear and tear that could use some care, but there were plenty of towels and paper products for our three night stay. The only down side was the noise from the neighboring park. Perhaps because it was a holiday weekend, there were some rowdy sounding people at various times in the night, but that's to be expected while staying on a main street. There is a brewery directly across the street. We dashed in to obtain previsions of beer and were good for the evening. Our room said lake view... and it is literally a view of the lake from an angle out the window. We were ok with this as we had a lot of fun people watching instead. Thanks for a fun vacation! Looking forward to coming back.

The Village of Lake Placid is minutes away and offers great restaurants, shopping, and nightlife.
Beautiful and cozy babymoon. My husband and I were only there for a long weekend but we had such a nice time. Service was great, Donna and Greg were so hospitable, and the food was amazing! The town is really cute too, and we could do some hiking, and see all the historical Olympics spots. Would definitely recommend the Inn and the town!

The Woodlake Inn is located in the heart of the Olympic Village of Lake Placid in the majestic Adirondack Mountains of upstate New York. The authentic Adirondack log and twig style inn is centrally located within walking distance of Main Street shops, restaurants, theater, Olympic Arena and lakes. Guest accommodations include efficiencies and cozy rooms with king, queen, or two double beds.
The Good: Location is easy to find and close to downtown. Bed was reasonably comfortable though the sheets barely fit. Staff accommodating when I requested a different pillow. Easy checkin and checkout. TV works well as does internet, though I had to log in each time I returned to room. Staff did clean each day which was nice My room was small, but adequate. The Not-so Good: Walls are thin so you hear everything. Walkway is wooden and folks walking by - or coming in late shake the building. Curtains recent people seeing in but are not room darkening letting. Street lights or business sign lights are not blocked out. Heating is baseboard controlled by thermostat. You have to manually turn it up in the morning and down at night. Water faucet and shower head spray water every which way. The hot faucet on sink is backwards so when you go to turn it off, you turn it in. Both are caked with deposit. Shower does have good pressure but not an even spray. Pillows were hard (for me) but I was able to get a different one. Soap bars are very small. Room did not have easily available sockets for charging devices. The one I used was not screwed into the wall at all. Likely not to code. Staff unplugged clock each time they cleaned and didn’t reset it. I found that annoying. So you get to decide. I likely wouldn’t stay here again due to noise of other guests, but it was a holiday weekend and places were full.

For what it is, this place is great. It's a small motel on Loon Lake. The owners are nice and helpful with where to eat. No coffee maker or hair dryer in the room, but they have coffee and doughnuts in the office. Wi-fi was pretty slow was the only thing that wasn't good.
We are a freshly renovated classic ADK lodge!

The B and B is at the end of the road that runs along Kiwassa lake. It is right on the lake and our bedroom had a large window overlooking the lake.. The bedroom was very large, with comfortable chairs overlooking the lake. The bathroom was very large and well appointed. There is a small deck off the bedroom. Marjorie was a great host, and made us a delicious breakfast.
