This modern, recently built hotel is situated in Vera, with a beachfront location. With carefully planned, pleasant decor, it offers all the facilities and services to ensure you enjoy unforgettable holidays.
This is the first review we have written after over 30 holidays abroad over the past 15 years as we felt we had to inform people before booking this hotel of our experience. We booked as a family of four with 2 children (boy aged 17 years and girl aged 7 years). We booked a superior bedroom with a garden. On arrival, the room had 2 double beds which was inappropriate for a 17 year old boy and 7 year old girl to share the same bed. We raised this with the reception and they informed us that all rooms had only double beds except for the upgrades and to return tomorrow morning to see if they had any upgraded rooms available. They told me they had no single beds at all in the hotel. My son ended up spending the first night on a sun lounger that we dragged in from the garden - so uncomfortable he got hardly any sleep. I went to reception countless times the following day to find out about the upgrade to be told to come back later. Eventually they found a single sofa bed after complaining many times. On top of this, we had a fridge that was not working, I called reception to be fobbed off staying that it was not a fridge and it keep things at a consent temperature. This was a lie as when we had the maintenance guy come and fix the ceiling fan that was hanging dangerously off the ceiling and the safe that was not working, we asked him about the fridge and he brought us a new fridge that did work (he was the most helpful person at the hotel). All of the entertainment was in Spanish and entertainment team made no attempt at all in communicating in English. We arrived at the start of the half term (29 May) where we were expecting everything to be up and running, however the day activities where limited along with kids club 3 times a week, only one restaurant was open and had limited people serving at the bars so queuing was a problem. Every time you go to the bar, you have to take your card (no wrist bands) and the amount of times we had to return to reception as they stopped working at the bars and stopped working getting into our rooms. The queue at reception on average was a 10 minute wait most of the time which was annoying when you just wanted to get into your room or a drink. When we booked, we booked for all inclusive expecting this to be for the whole of our stay. Our flight was departing on the last day in the evening. We arrived for lunch to be told that all inclusive finishes at 12pm and we would have to pay 100 euros for the 4 of us to each lunch!!! The fact we arrived a week earlier in the evening and did not use the all inclusive on the first day, I thought this was not on. On a positive side, the weather was great and we never had a problem getting a sun lounger, With our experience, we definitely would not be returning to this hotel.

Designed as an oasis by the beach, 4* Hotel Vera Playa Club is the first naturist hotel in Spain. Located in Vera, at the seafront and in one of the best and most sought-after nudist beaches on the coast of Almeria, it is decorated with bright colours and includes different large and bright common areas with natural plants.
Arriving at 10-15 we were greeted by what can only be described as a school rehersal for a dance show in the reception area. This was so loud we could not hear the receptionist when they were talking to us. This went on every night for a whole week in some format or another so that we could not find anywhere in the hotel bar area for a quiet drink. This debacle of what they deem to be entertainment carried on every night. but they then moved it outside. The poor residents in rooms near the patio area would not have managed any peace and quiet till after midnight even if they want it. The "entertainment" team were not in keeping with the demographic of the clientelle. Rooms were tired and even the superior double was mediocre and by no means superior. A basic hotel room but with a kettle. The room however did have a good view of the sea and was very clean if somewhat tired and needing some attention. Breakfast was good and there was plenty of choice with freshly cooked eggs, omlette and meat. We tried the hotel for dinner one night and felt conned. The soup was luke warm as was the so called hot dishes and the veg was overcooked. The only good part was the freshly grilled fish. When I complained at reception the young man said "well I eat there and like it". That was the result of the response to my complaint. 45 euro for nothing and we had to go elsewhere to eat afterwards. This hotel is lovely around the pool with a beautiful reception area but they need to up their game somewhat. Flamenco night needs a traditional guitarist and not recorded music, and some local singers on other nights or local artists would enhance the entertainment experience and stop most of the clientelle leaving the hotel for other venues. We did enjoy our stay and met some lovely people but it could have been so much better than it was. The pool is warm enough not to feel chilled and very pretty. Lots of activities in the day if you wish to join in. Lovely walks along the beach to local beach bars. We will return at some point

The course as always was in excellent condition and the staff in the golf shop very pleasant and helpful. Unfortunately the restaurant staff and the staff in the bar downstairs were the complete opposite. The bar staff down stairs were very Ignorant and everything seemed to much trouble. We ordered drinks at the bar and halfway through the girl decided to walk over to others and hug and kiss them, leaving us standing there. We obviously cancelled the drinks and went over the road for much friendlier service and with a smile. Very very bad attitude from the staff in general. I hope thing improve for our next visit as this did make us feel so unwelcome.

Spending our last week here. Very big modern hotel. The appartments are lovely and spacious with very good room service. The restaurant food is fantastic. Excellent variety of dishes for all ages. The pools are great. No sunbed nonsence, plenty of room for everyone. It is mostly Spanish patrons but the reception ladies have been very helpful translating information for us.

Stayed three nights here, the apartment was very nice, clean and spacious , the surrounding area was very quiet, but this could have been due to late season and after effects of Covid-19. If we was in the area again we would certainly use this facility again.
