We have now had three meals in the Mystique and each one has been fabulous. Renoo served us beautifully and Seam leads his team well with the chef Shuttat producing fabulous food. Well worth a visit or two!!

Secluded within the boundaries of exclusive Balaclava Bay, on the island's northern coast, this 210-room Mauritius resort was designed to blend modern convenience with traditional Mauritius flavour. It was also created to cater to the needs of couples, families and business travellers alike. At this luxury Mauritius resort, you can choose from energetic sports or sophisticated dining. Alongside the indulgence of SPA InterContinental, you'll find the convenience of our conference facilities.
From the moment we stepped in to the reception we were met with friendly attentive staff. Rooms are of a high standard and have huge comfy beds. We decided to upgrade our ocean view family room to a presidential suite for the last 4 days of our holiday and Kevin (manager I think) looked after us personally and made the transition stress free. Food and drink wonderful. Plenty of choice. Cannot fault it at all. Thank you for making our holiday a memorable one. Still here for another day but we will definitely return next year.

A SPACIOUS BEACHSIDE RESORT IN MAURITIUS Located North-west on the coast of Mauritius, Victoria Beachcomber Resort & Spa is conveniently situated between the tourist hub of Grand Baie and Port Louis, the capital city. Facing the splendid sunsets, Victoria Beachcomber is one of the most popular family resorts in Mauritius.
We stayed in a ground floor room with a swim-up feature. This is in the adults only section, which features a private pool, bar and restaurant. Nice and quiet: no loud music. The beach is a stones throw away, and all rooms have a sea view. The snorkelling from the beach is fantastic: angel fish, pipefish and various others within easy swimable reach of the shore. Other water sports are onsite including SUP, kayaking, pedalos and sailing. There’s a dive centre on site (Dive World), and the staff there are friendly and knowledgable. There are four restaurants on site. Biggest choice at Le Superbe buffet, but for romantic dinners we preferred La Casa. We went half board, so lunch and drinks not included. This means that water is also not included at dinner, and we were charged for table water - so just beware. It’s a small criticism. There are hawkers on the beach: this is licensed by Mauritius law, and isn’t a problem. They are not pushy and can be quite friendly. There are also unofficial excursion providers touting their offers: again this is not annoying, but do your research before engaging them in conversation/negotiation. The staff are all (and I mean all) super polite and helpful and really made us feel welcome. Nothing seemed too much trouble and they are all a credit to the hotel.

We stayed here for 5 nights on the final leg of our honeymoon. We had a very busy start to our trip so we were looking forward to relaxing when we got to Mauritius and Veranda Pointe Aux Biches did not disappoint! The staff were all so helpful and welcoming. The food was delicious, as were the cocktails and wine. Our beach dinner was so special and the meal at Sandy Lane Grill on our final night was a highlight. Our room was beautiful with a stunning view of the beach and ocean!

Set in the heart of a lush tropical garden, Casuarina Resort & Spa is a Mauritian resort located across the beautiful beach of Trou Aux Biches in the North West of Mauritius, 30 mins from the Capital, Port Louis and 10 mins from the lively village of Grand Bay. Known in the past as the fisherman’s village, Trou Aux Biches is very famous for its long stretched white sandy beach, its geographical location and for its outstanding seabed, key area for diving sports and to discover the splendid flora and fauna of the Indian Ocean. The hotel has a unique Tropical architecture, with white walls made of limestone and thatched roofs. Originally built in 1973 with only 15 bungalows, there were 94 rooms expanded onto 7 hectares of timeless landscape of mature trees and swaying coconut trees. Supporting facilities include 3 inviting restaurants, 2 swimming pools, a gym and a Balinean styled Spa.
Just returned from a 12 night stay at Casuarina on All Inclusive basis. On arrival after a very long flight from the UK we were greeted at reception and provided with a cold drink of juice, ribbons (to identify us as AI guests) and were then provided with a brief overview of the hotel - meal times, drinks etc. Staff all very pleasant and speak English, French and Mauritian. We are grateful to have received the rooms we requested which are the only ones that give you a true ocean view (paid and booked Ocean View rooms). As the small beach is across the road and obscured by trees it isn't an unobscured view but you can see the Indian Ocean. Both rooms had a very large bed, balcony, chair and table with a bathroom. Very clean (apart from the old, dirty patio furniture out on the balcony) but rather dated with worn, dark wood furniture and a peach coloured bathroom. Everything functional though and as we only required a base from which to explore this beautiful country we truly felt that we'd received exactly what we paid for. There are two pools - both very small and the water is lovely and cool. Not many sun loungers and you do lose the sun from around 3:30pm this time of year due to the surrounding foliage (beautiful big trees!) So if you like a full day in the sun head to the beach instead. Pool towels provided daily. Not the best but they do the job. If you like fluffy, pristine pool towels bring your own. Entertainment was a traditional Mauritian band with dancers for around an hour once a week. Very lovely to see and great music. Other than that it's the bar staff playing Socca music on a laptop - feel free to have a dance! During the day there's aqua aerobics & Zumba on a small scale and the staff are always happy to have a game of darts or table tennis with you if you ask them. For us this is perfect as we aren't keen on full-on animation and noise. The Great thing is that at 11pm on the dot everything went quiet, the staff left & the night was over with so you can guarantee a good night's sleep. Weekends are much busier with local people who retire to the beach after a long week in the city. Food is fine and as expected. Always plenty of choice - omelettes and eggs freshly cooked with chicken sausages, pancakes, bread, cereals & fruit in the morning. Lunch comprises of a few hot items, salads and desserts and dinner hosts the Curry Corner - usually a fish or vegetable curry, lentil danl and rice alongside other items such as pizza, freshly cooked meat, fish, salads & desserts. Shout out to Guresh the chef on breakfast - the best omelettes! We did eat out on a few evenings as it became rather repeatative. Lunches were limited here as we spent most of our time exploring the island. Drinks are most certainly watered down here. If you came to get drunk you'll be disappointed. It appears they're giving you a lot of hard alcohol when they pour quarter of a litre into your glass, but trust me it really isn't. On a good point, nobody really gets lairy or embarrassing as a result of being drunk at least. There's some nice restaurants towards Mon Choissy or in Trou aux Biches itself, or in Grand Baie a 15 mins taxi ride away. Bars and clubs are currently closed due to the pandemic. Nitesh our favourite bar man was lovely throughout - mixing us drinks on request and providing us with bottles of water on our last day after checkout. All the staff here are so pleasant, happy and seem genuinely pleased to have tourists back on the island after a 2 year closure of the international border. The beach accross the road is very disappointing. The sand is pitted with small stones and rocks, making it difficult to gain access to the water however, an 8 minute walk to the left with bring you into Trou aux Biches beach at Beachcomber which is a nice, wide, white sandy stretch. You'll not be able to take a lounger or place down your towel for a good half mile though due to it being privately owned, so keep walking until you get to the public beach (about 15-20 mins walk in total) just after Beachcomber. There's food trucks, an ATM & some beach sellers in the car park plus some toilets. If you take a right outside the hotel and walk down the road for 25 mins you'll find yourself at the beautiful Mon Choissy public beach which is stunning! Very natural - no loungers, shops, hotels, toilets, vendors so it's lovely and quiet, absolutely pristine & the water is crystal clear. Bring your snorkel! If you are a diver there's a dive centre onsite. Dont forget to take some fruit down to the pond at the front of the hotel (gardens) where you'll find 6 beautiful little white ducks. They'll waddle over to you to say hello for sure! Their favourite is pineapple. Please don't give them bread as it harms them. Overall a lovely base for exploring this stunning country. Would definitely return.

Our families spent an amazing time at Le Meridien Hotel for our indian wedding. We had a wonderful venue, fantastic conditions and set up for the religious ceremony, cocktail, dinner and reception. We are very grateful to Mr Roomesh Boojhawon as he was absolutely essential for the good organization of the event. Very caring, attentive to all details, he was of a precious help for last minute unexpected issues. Also, we would like to thank Chef Mahen for the succulent food, Mr Gobin and all his team for their excellent service. The spa was an amazing experience. In addition to very good hotel facilities, the customer service was perfect. We would highly recommend this hotel.

Unique
Registration and check in took 45 mins. Had a problem in the room at around 18.45 hrs. Water flooding from the toilet and spreading in the corrridor. It took 1 hr for the hotel staff to intervene. After a very hostile discussion with one person named Sherina, she just bluntly told us that the best solution is to vacate the hotel and it was nearly 21.00 hrs ! She availed herself of this prerogative as we were local Mauritians ! Imagine yourself if it was foreign nationals being expelled from the hotel at night.l. When borders were closed local people were KIng, Taxpayers money were injected in the hotel's coffin just to keep the hotel alive. Now they no longer need the same taxpayer as foreigners are coming back. What a shame to this hotel. I do not recommend this hotel to our dear countrymen.
