My wife and I have been here several times and it never disappoints. The entire staff is very attentive and will go out of their way to ensure you are taken care of. We love Da Mario's and the Bluewater Grill. The fish tacos at the Grill are very tasty and the grill also does an la carte breakfast which is very good. We met some wonderful people from Alberta, Saskatchewan and BC that really made our trip extra special. This year we decided to bite the bullet and speak with a UVC representative of the AMR group and I must say, it was a very nice experience. Mauricio was our our rep, and we never felt pressured or rushed into making a decision. He made us feel relaxed and provided a lot of useful information, plus he has a great sense of humor! I highly recommend that you request Mauricio to take you on a tour and discuss the membership privileges. Later on we met Mariana, also from the UVC team and she was absolutely adorable and answered all our questions. We will definitely be returning to the Sunscape again!

If you are looking to escape the daily hustle and bustle and find a little bit of heaven where to spend your vacation, this is your best choice. Our excellent location to easily navigate to explore all that Ixtapa and the town of Zihuatanejo have for you. After passing our spacious lobby with marble floor and a huge dome, modern facilities with a sober and contemporary style.
After not being here for more than 2 years, I was quickly reminded why I always stay here. The food is good and all the staff are awesome. Special thanks to the pool event staff, Quenie, Teresa and Julian. I'm 60 years old and they kept me busy playing water polo and volleyball with a bunch of 20 year olds. I would recommend this hotel to anyone, especially if you have children or not.

This is my second time at this resort. Last time I was here was in 2010. The quality and service went down. I will never come back again. Cheap wine, cheap bad drinks. The wine tastes watered down. Food ok. My hair literally melted in the swimming pool. My face and lips got burned after only one time swimming. Nobody cares to even ask if I am ok. On the weekends local get 50% off so the resort gets packed.

Nestled into the side of a mountain and surrounded by tropical vegetation on one of the most beautiful beaches of the Mexican Pacific Riviera is where you will find this secluded tropical paradise that offers the perfect balance between recreation and relaxation. A private hilltop entrance leads into a stone courtyard with dramatic fountain, where porters escort new arrivals to the open-air reception area. Bright colors, high ceilings, and keyhole views of the Pacific Ocean highlight hotel's striking architecture. Las Brisas Ixtapa is a particular favorite of honeymooners for its romantic setting and rooms with private terraces, all with ocean views.
We have been vacationing at this property nearly every year since 2008 and love it. The best part is the staff. They are all hard working, friendly and go out of their way to make sure you are having a good experience. Special mention to Beach staff: Sergio, Margharito, Eduardo, Yalber and David; Lobby Bar: Bladimir, Itzel, Manuel and Rosario. Jazmin att Belavista and Paulino and Moises at Portafino. Love you guys!!

Cala de Mar is a Mexico luxury resort set inside a rock cliff overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The property features suites, private plunge pools, a world-class spa, restaurants, tequila bar, beach wedding locations, and more.
This is a small boutique hotel with great views over the ocean. Not for young children or handicap with all the stairs, levels, and lack of railings, etc. Food is excellent with the fresh fish the main star. Servers are very friendly and attentive. Cleanest hotel room I have ever stayed in. We are going back for sure. Sitting in your own infinite pool on the balcony with daily happy hour is heaven.

This was one of the worst vacations I’ve had that are all inclusive resort. I will describe in detail what the problems were and what some of the good things about the hotel are. The Good: -Nice employees -Great Location -Fabulous beach -Clean hotel -Nice fitness center -Easy to get around -Good cold beer. -Proper temperatures for food. The Bad: -The most hideous low quality food I’ve ever had at all-inclusive resort. No beef, white meat chicken breast, guacamole, etc. -No authentic Mexican food. -Too strict mask enforcement makes me feel like I am lodging at the airport. Very disturbing and irritating. -Way too many kids! Terrible! -No adult section of pool! Disgrace. -Cheap in quantity of water bottles in the room. Water is extremely important. I was so excited to get home and eat normal, high-quality healthy food. This was one of the worst vacations I’ve ever had.

Been to this hotel for a second time after few years. What a regret! Beach: ? It is super small, full of stones, water was really dirty with loads of dead fish. Rooms: ? They are of a good size and clean. Food: ?There are three buffet restaurants, but all of them serving the same food, not overly tasty. Entertainment: ??The DJ music in the night was not good, and since it was in the main building, it was very noisy despite the closed doors of the room and an AC being switched on. Shows were more less ok, even though they were in a cheep side. There were billiards, table football and table tennis, but all were super old. Activities:?? The activities and people were really good. Even though for example, bicycles for the outside biking roots were so old that I needed to change mine twice. Service and stuff: ??This is probably the worst of all. They were all very focused on their own stuff, not friendly, not trying to be helpful at all. At the check I , I was assigned a room that already had people in it. Then I was assigned another room that was a downgraded to what I have paid for. But the stuff, manager included, didn’t want to listen to me, we’re very offensive and with no willingness to help. After more than 3 hours spent at the reception, I finally got offered a late check out, but still they didn’t want / have the room that I paid for and were constantly repeating the robotic answer that they want to help and that the fault was of the agency I have booked with (even though I have paid directly at the hotel). Overall, for this amount of money, travelling very often o Ixtapa, as a fact I know that there are much better hotels, with better beaches, entertainment and service than this one.
