Sign on highway stating new renovation and a vacancy. We had left Falling Waters and a Snowstorm was starting. This is a very basic hotel, but was clean. Door didn't work well. View was beautiful. It needs some work, but heater worked, bathroom was clean. We had hot water and bed was comfortable. Price definitely good. No breakfast.

We were passing through and needed an inexpensive room for one night so we pulled in, as it looked okay on the outside. The room was very clean, which was the most important thing. However, a little TLC would make it much more inviting. The curtains were kind of hanging sadly from the windows, and the towels, although clean, were bleach-stained. It was chilly when we walked in and there is no heat that you can regulate yourself. We walked over to the office and the very nice lady told us that there is central heat and air. But she very promptly brought us an electric heater so we could warm the room quickly. Once the room warmed up, the central system kept the room comfortably warm and we didn’t need the space heater any more. The bed was very comfortable. There is a diner directly behind the motel that opens at 5:45 am and closes at 3:00 pm. If you just need a bed for the night and no amenities ( hair dryer/coffee maker) the place will do.

The Lodge at Indian Lake is a unique bar, restaurant and hotel. We are also a rustic wedding venue destination with guest rooms, modern amenities and everything else you could ever ask for to make your event a success. Whether you want to stay in the beautiful Laurel Highlands or tee off at two of the most beautiful golf courses in pennsylvania. Our lodge guest rooms overlook the Northwinds Golf Course and The Northwinds Peninsula Club is less than 2 miles away. The Peninsula Golf Club was the very first golf course designed by Arnold Palmer. Check our event calendar as well for special entertainment we may be offering such as DJs, Bands, and Karaoke.
I work for a television company that stayed at the Lodge for a week in June while we filmed a special in the area and we had the best time! Our crew is about 20 people which they were able to accommodate at a weeks notice with no issues. The rooms are in the process of being renovated so all of us received the renovated rooms, clean new bathrooms and Roku tvs! We were able to use the beautiful ballroom to shoot our interview portions with no issues or interruptions (unheard of in the TV biz). Anything we needed was worked out for us. Our days ended up being so long that it was too late to go anywhere other than the Lodge Restaurant/Bar for dinner. The menu was big enough that nobody was tired of eating there, the food was better than expected each night and the service was even better! On our last night, there was live music and he was great! He played all of our requests and kept the party going with hit after hit...very talented! Lastly, Michelle, the manager was the best! She made our stay so easy and special after long, stressful days of shooting this television special. Couldn't recommend this place enough..don't judge a book by its cover!

Although the hosts are friendly and beds are comfortable it still lacks a bit. No AC, which in our case was okay, because it was raining and cool. Could not imagine a hot evening. Small common area and unless you take all 3 rooms a little awkward between guests-it is impossible to be quite enough not to disturb others. The 'continental' breakfast was really lacking. Small dried up fruit, muffins left out for us the night before, open containers of milk, juice and cereal. In the new norm, I would have expected individual cartons of milk, juice and individually wrapped snacks. On a good note, the garage to store bikes is really nice and came in handy for us. We started our bike ride from here and returned later in the afternoon, after a lot of miles in a cold rain. The host let us change into dry clothes in the garage. It was nice to have the adjacent restaurant, make reservations.

Located atop Laurel Ridge, overlooking Ohiopyle State Park. 40 acres of quiet beauty. Awesome location for family reunions.
Our group stayed 3 nights at the Trillium lodge. We had a great time. Because the lodge is pretty isolated, there was no problem with our playing live music until 2 AM. Other reviewers have described the layout quite well. Our group had the whole building to ourselves. The pool table has strange artistic colored balls, which made it hard to distinguish stripes from solids. We were there when the leaves were off the trees, so we had some spectacular sunsets, and because there was no moon, we saw tons of stars at night. (But you did have to wait for the motion sensor lights to go off). We didn't use the fire pit, but if you plan to do so, take note of any place that sells firewood, as none seemed to be close by. There were complaints about the slow(!) internet, which the owners had already described in a sign about the problem. The other problem we experienced were with the oven temperatures. Cooking times were different than expected because of it. The stores in Ohiopyle closed early during the off season, so be aware of that. Nearby Fallingwater is worth a trip. But you don't need to tour inside the house, as the outside is the scenic part.

We were here with 2 other couples so we really had the place to ourselves. The rooms were small but so unique. Because we had the place to ourselves the small rooms did not bother us especially for one night. It was nice having the coffee shop right there and having a $5 (per person) credit for breakfast. We also had the living are to ourselves so we could sit around talk and play games. Loved this place and would stay again.

I called at noon on a wednesday to inquire about a room and pet policy. The phone rang for 10 minutes! No one ever picked up. Tried to go on their website and its down. Guess they don't want the business.
