Aburi Botanical Gardens is a botanical garden in Aburi which occupies an area of 64.8 hectares. Founded by Governor William Brandford-Griffith and Dr. John Farrell Easmon, a Sierra Leonean medical doctor. Opened in March, 1890. Aburi is located in the Eastern Region of Ghana about 31.4km from Accra the capital. This tour package begins with a Tetteh Quarshie Cocoa Farm. Tetteh Quarshie was a pre-independence Ghanaian agriculturalist and the person directly responsible for the introduction of cocoa crops to Ghana, which today constitute one of the major export crops of the Ghanaian economy. In 1879, Tetteh Quarshie planted the seeds at Mampong with some success. Be transferred in a 4x4 air-condition cross country, served with water and snacks, with an experienced friendly and helpful guide. Visit Tetteh Quarshie Cocoa Farm. Depart Tetteh Quarshie Cocoa Farm to Aburi Botanical Garden. Visit Aburi Crafts Village from Aburi Botanical Gardens. Depart Aburi Crafts Village to Accra.

I specially designed this tour to bring people close to nature as well as learn about some vital and exotic plants in the universe and also to expose you to the ingenuity of the locals as you interact with them. Last but not least, visit two of the best waterfalls in Ghana with a hike through the jungle with the soothing voices of the bird to motivate you to the top.
