Took kids (15,11) there on slightly rainy day. Staff was very friendly, fitted the kids with helmets and had us on some very docile and accommodating horses in 5 minutes. The ride was a full hour, guided by one of the friendly staffers, and the trail was mostly through the woods and was quiet and scenic. Definitely a good value, we highly recommend these guys.

Shout out to Kelly who works front desk at Elements Spa! It was first time experience for my daughter and I and she was super friendly and very helpful! We loved our spa day, the pools are AMAZING and the friendliness of Kelly made our day fantastic and one to remember! With the crazy way the world went shortly after our visit I’m even more grateful we had the day to enjoy, my daughter is a RN and life has been stressful and non stop. When our lives get back to normal everyone should treat themselves to a day at Elements Spa, you won’t regret it, and again - Kelly, thank you!

Hiked the Stairway to Heaven for the first time. I am not a regular hiker but consistently work out and love power walking. The trail is very rocky and steep in sections requiring me to grab nearby tree to steady myself. There were also lots of fallen leaves so little slippery at times. Be sure to wear hiking boots or sneakers with good traction on them and bring water. We walked right past big pile of rocks which was landmark leading to Pinwheel vista. If you reach the mailbox on tree you have gone too far. Ate our lunch on the rocks enjoying the spectacular view. We hiked at fairly quick pace so took about hour and 10 up and 45 minutes down.

Mountain Creek is a unique gateway to the mountain lifestyle for millions of local urban and suburban adventure seekers. It is the NY metro area’s closest ski resort, located 47 miles from the George Washington Bridge in Vernon, NJ. Mountain Creek offers over 167 acres of terrain on 4 mountain peaks with 100% night skiing and the region’s highest vertical. The resort also hosts the region’s only true All-Mountain Terrain Park at Mountain Creek South.
We came to mountain creek February 15-18. Unfortunately, the entire town including the resort experienced a power outage due to an ice storm/transformer issue. The staff could not be more helpful. Although many guests decided to leave, the manager Heather moved us from off site condos into resort. The first night of our stay was free and she price matched the second night. They gave us pizza, water and hot chocolate. The power went on at 4 am and we had a wonderful day of skiing. Everyone was wearing a mask and everyone was super helpful from the young man in the equipment room who helped us put on our boots, the salesclerk in the shop who helped us with gloves and googles, the older gentleman in the cafeteria who greeted us and seated us, the ski instructor who walked me over to a map to orient me to the trails. The room was more than adequate with an electric fireplace. It was clean and updated. There were 4 lifts and multiple trails and we had a great time. It is difficult to operate during a pandemic and power outage and I thought they did a great job.

It was our first visit. We picked a Monday to avoid weekend crowds and it was a good decision. No lines anywhere. While some rides were closed, we had enough options to fill the day for a 6-year and a 10-year old with different rides. We arrived at 11 AM and left at 4PM. I have been to other waterparks, mostly concrete and plastic. This place is way more beautiful because it is built into nature. There are lots of rocks and trees and you notice that you are in a forest. Another good thing was hat we could finally spend a day without wearing these stupid masks. Most visitors are respectful of social distancing rules and wear masks in the dining and restroom areas, but otherwise, no masks. Also, I noticed that 80% of visitors are of Hispanic, African-American or Jewish background, maybe because of the COVID restrictions and the fact that we came on a Monday. We were happy visitors. We paid $25 per person.
