Good shops and easy to get in ans out of. Smaller than other outlets i have been to in So Cal - so not many choices. If you are spending the night in Tulare - not many choices so this will entertain you for a couple of hours. Also a movie theater on the property.

There is something unique and mystery about the trees. Try to imagine forest with majestic, giant, redwood trees. These trees are thousands of years old and belong to the largest living organisms on Earth. Among them you will find the largest known living single stem tree in the world - the General Sherman. It is not easy to get there, but it is very difficult to leave. Forget about uber, bike or public transportation but when you finally reach your destination, unforgettable memories will stay with you for a lifetime. It's hard to describe it in words, but you know it when you see it. I could watch those trees all day. It is worth mentioning that the ranger standing nearby the General Sherman was very knowledgeable with a great sense of humor. Hiking requires some physical strength but the General Sherman is easy accessible from parking lot.

The Visalia Rawhide are the most affordable family entertainment option in Tulare and Kings Counties. The Rawhide have embarked on a new era in Visalia Baseball, with more renovations to Rawhide Ballpark and a renewed affiliation with the Major League club. The Rawhide are proud to have been affiliated with the Arizona Diamondbacks since 2007. The Rawhide and the Diamondbacks signed a two year Player Development Contract (PDC) in September of the 2016 season that covers the 2017-2018 baseball seasons. The Rawhide and the city of Visalia continue to do everything necessary to ensure a long, productive relationship with the proud Diamondbacks franchise at Recreation Ballpark. The Rawhide are in the middle of the D-backs system, one of the most talented in all of baseball. There are two teams at higher levels of the minor leagues, and three at lower levels. Other clubs in the D-backs' chain include the Missoula Osprey (Rookie level), Hillsboro Hops (Short Season A), Kane County Cougars
Gotta love baseball in this intimate setting. Ballpark is home to the Visalia Rawhide - A League.
Often called Recreation Park - the stadium has been in place since the mid-1900's...and has been upgraded incrementally over time. Still a little funky but has a nice mix of new and cool touches.
If the team is in town - a ballgame in Visalia on a warm summer night with family and friends is a hit!

The Fox Theater has been around for quite a while, but has been and continues to be renovated and is in excellent shape. It retains the original pipe organ that is a lot more than a simple pipe organ and should be seen and heard to fully experience what a marvelous instrument it is. The ceiling in the Fox has a selection of lights that blink off and on to simulate a starry night. Sounds a bit antiquated, but is really a nice touch of the relaxing ambience.
There have been and continue to be some big name entertainment that has chosen to show at the Fox.
Visalia is right to be proud of the Fox Theater.

Modest gatherings from several hundred to several thousand are easily accommodated here in downtown Visalia. You might think parking and access is a problem, but there's a multi-story garage across the street as well as street parking nearby. The place advertises 114,000 square feet of flexible meeting space and a 30,000 sq ft exhibit hall. Multiple events were hosted when I attended a convention in April 2016. They were seamless. When you need a break from the crowds, a walk around the city center is in order. You will find refreshing adult beverages as well as tasty food within a few blocks.

Billed as being open every saturday morning year round. We loved the fresh eggs, freshly squeezed OJ sold by the quart (so yummy), hydroponic lettuce (oh my!), homemade jams, cheeses, local honey, beautiful produce....we loved it. We were visiting the area for a week and went both saturdays we were there. HIghly recommend!!!

The park has been a part of the community for a century. It has broad lawn areas and picnic tables under a canopy of an Oak forest. There are play structures for kids and a fine local history museum in the park. The Museum is very well done. The park, unfortunately, has been neglected. The lagoon that once had boating is now full of litter, the numerous wild fowl that called it home have left. Many repairs seem needed and everything needs painting.

I have been going to Sensia for over 4 years now. Melissa is the best at doing hair. Love the massages I have had with Cathy and have had the body wraps. Love the feel of the salon. Great place to go and be pampered!!
