The third largest racetrack in Alabama offers hourly van tours of the track.
My husband is an avid Nascar fan. We have visited a number of the Nascar race tracks an decided to stop and see Talladega Superspeedway on our way to Florida. We visited the racetrack and Hall of Fame which is on the grounds of the speedway. Admission was $16 for adults for the museum and a van tour of the track. There is no senior discount on the packages. The museum was quite large with lots of cars and history. We finished the self-guided tour thru the museum and had to wait a while for the van tour of the track. It wasn't busy and I have to assume that they wanted to try to fill the van up before doing a tour (they advertise that there are tours every 1/2 hour). The tour was interesting, however the ride around the track was just at the bottom of the track. Other speedways will take you part way up on the inclines. This track did have a VERY steep incline and it was interesting to try and imagine how a car sticks up there ! We were glad to have done both the museum and the track tour.

Home to over 140 authentic race cars.
The museum has free parking. It is located next to the ticket office for the Talladega Motor Speedway. You pay your admission fee near the gift shop. The facility is comprised of several buildings which emphasize NASCAR racing but the Hall of Fame plaques do represent all types of motor racing. The overall presentation gives an outstanding history of Alabama racing. There are dozens of vehicles on display as well as other memorabilia.

The Dale Jarrett Racing Adventure is a company that offers ordinary racing fans the opportunity to find out what it’s like to race an authentic racecar on a major racetrack. Our racing “adventurers” come from all over the country to enjoy a life-defining experience. They receive vital training from top racing instructors, wear real racing suits and safety gear, and climb into the seat of a racecar that was once driven by one of the racing greats. Guided by hand signals from the instructor in the seat next to them, racing adventurers learn how to race just like the pros. We surpass the usual “follow-the-leader” approach to racing and teach our guests how to race like a real NASCAR driver does, finding their own line, drafting, and passing, for optimum fun. A 100% safety record and the endorsements of numerous people that have had the experience testify to the excitement, the safety, and the unforgettable thrill of our racing adventure.
