Sometimes surprises in life can be heartwarming ... this is one of those times. I followed a sign off the Tarkine Road ... it goes up a dirt road...which is a bit rough at times, but I did it in a hire car and she (I named my hire car Heidi) did it well. I have no doubt a 4WD would find the road easier...but if you feel you can do this, it's worth the trip. When you arrive at the site you will see what you think initially is a look out next to the road...to be honest, it looks disappointing. But park your car and step up onto that deck and follow the path. It feels like you are in a set of the Lion King... button grass everywhere ... as far as the eye can see. It's hard to explain the sheer majesty of this place so I think the only thing left is for you to go and see for yourself.
